CHAPTER 22 - Shadow

Hearing Cindy not willing to stay any longer, Rei felt relieved. It could be that this heartbroken woman came to destroy her own happiness with Zenira, Rei thought.

"All right, it's night. It's time for me to come home, sometime I stop by again huh!" cindy stood up.

As Cindy stood up suddenly a five-year-old boy approached Rei.

"Fire" called the child while extending a hand.

"Huh, Papi!" Rei looked startled, the boy's face was completely similar to his. His mind drifted back, was it possible that Cindy had come to show him this child.

"Hey, honey. Let's go home, now. Papi Rei is already happy with his new wife." said Cindy who made Rei so misbehaved.

"What do you mean exactly?" rei asked looking at the boy.

Cindy did not answer Rei's question, preferring to carry the boy and walk away from Rei.

Zenira who looked towards Rei could only be fixated while slowly figuring out what Cindy really meant.

"Cindy!" the cry of Rei who did not want his curiosity evaporated without an answer.

"Why? Is it wrong that I keep the fruit of our love?" said Cindy stopped her steps and turned her body staring intently at Rei.

"What do you mean?" rei asked increasingly did not understand the intention of his former lover.

Cindy then told me when she was still with Rei, she once told me that in her womb is now planted the seeds of Rei. However, at that time Rei instead asked Cindy to just drop her content because she broke off her love relationship unilaterally.

Of course, Rei's words were very painful for Cindy who really hoped that the man would admit the fruit of her love.

Cindy, unwilling to become a hindrance to Rei's love affair with her new lover, chooses to leave with her husband.

Initially Cindy did not want Rei to know about this story, but the more days her guilt on this boy is getting bigger and it feels like it is enough she keeps a secret about who the father of her child.

This little man later named Alceo, Cindy hopes that by that name her son will become a big hearted man and still love Cindy even though Alceo was born with conditions that should not be.

"So Alceo my son?" asked Rei in disbelief.

"Yes, that's right Rei. Alceo our little son." Cindy nodded, confirming everything he said.

Zenira was silent in disbelief, he could only feel pity for Alceo who was clearly innocent in Rei and Cindy's matter.

"I just want you to be happy, Rei! I'm sorry I just told you this now. I promise I won't interfere with your life with Zenira." Cindy said as she walked away.

Rei and Zenira then looked at each other, they did not know how to start their conversation now.

Zenira actually had the right to be angry but he chose to be quiet, because he knew Rei's heart was now uncertain.

"Mas, Rei!" bi Emi shouted out from inside the house with a panicked look on her face.

"What's up, Bi Emi?" asked Rei who saw Bi Emi look confused.

"Mr Ramon, go to the hospital" Bi Emi said with a breath of breath.

Zenira who is still wrong chose to stay at home and did not come to visit his father-in-law's Papi.

Arriving at the hospital, Rei rushed to the waiting room and met his Mama who had been waiting for Rei's arrival.

"What happened to Papi, Mi?" rei asked when he had just set foot in the hospital.

"Initially, your father received a phone call from an unknown person. At that time Mami saw Papi was still healthy, not long after Papi held his chest and fell down." said Adelia explained with a sob.

"Who's calling, Papi?" ask Rei back.

"Come, Rei! Mami didn't have time to ask, Papi." replied Adelia kept crying sobbing.

Rei then tells Adelia about Cindy's arrival to his house, saying that Rei and Cindy have a son, Alceo, who has been hidden by Cindy.

"AH!" rei shouted annoyed, for some reason he always felt in his life never far from the problem.

"Already, Rei. Mami doesn't want you to get sick, because of the problems you face." said Adelia rubbed her shoulder, Rei gently.

"Why will I be happy with Zenira there are problems that come, I'm tired!" said Rei complaining while hugging his Mama.

Adelia knew very well what her son was feeling, not yet finished Zenira's miscarriage problem. Came trouble with Tyra, then Cindy came and now her Papa is sick.

Rei must be very sad about all this, but that's how life is. It will never be out of trouble for trouble.

"Patience, son. Already now we focus on health, your Papa, yes!" adelia tried to calm her son.

"Family father Ramon!" call the nurse as she enters the waiting room where Rei and Adelia are talking.

"I'm Mr. Ramon's family, sisters." Rei replied to the nurse.

"Sir Ramon had a mild heart attack. But even so, Mr. Ramon must rest completely and try to keep his blood pressure in check, for the next week" said the nurse kindly while giving a piece of paper containing prescription drugs.

"Good, doc. Thank you! we his family will take care and monitor Papi's health" Rei replied receiving the prescription paper while nodding his head in understanding.

Rei is grateful that his Papi can still be helped and hopes to maintain the health of his Papi better than the previous days.

"How, Rei?" adelia asked worriedly as she saw Rei coming out from inside the ward.

"The fire had a mild heart attack" Rei replied as he hugged his mother who looked very sad about what had happened to her Papi.

"Thank God, Papi. God is good to us!" adelia said with teary eyes.

"Mommy I'm sorry I can't keep up, Papi every day. Mami take care of Papi yes, so as not to relapse and get worse" said Rei asked with a sad face.

"Yes, Rei. Mami promised to look after your Papa. Because a heart attack like this could have been repeated and more severe." Adelia replied nodding a sign of understanding.

Adelia asks Rei to rush to the ward to see her Papa's condition.

Upon entering the ward, Ramon was still seen limp with several infusion hoses attached as well as an oxygen hose on his nose.
