CHAPTER 70 - Good In-Law

Rei who heard Zenira's little laugh asked Zenira to take care of her health so that their plan to have children would happen soon this year as well.

Adelia then tells some snacks that taste good but they rarely meet.

After agreeing with the culinary tour this time, Zenira headed to the park that was told Mami earlier.

The place is very beautiful and not far from a highway mosque that Ramon finally used for car parking.

"The hawkers are many!" Zenira cried when he arrived at that place.

After being satisfied around, Zenira returned to the car to start tasting all the food he bought, there are salty, sweet, sour to savory all in the wholesale Zenira.

Ramon and Adelia who saw Zenira grocery bags were so amazed by Zenira who wanted to taste all the food that he found interesting.

Zenira tasting a traditional cake gemblong that is always on sale in this place, this cake is made from glutinous flour mixed with coconut milk and grated coconut then fried then lumuri liquid brown sugar that makes it sweet and savory.

"Have you ever tasted this cake?" Ask Adelia to Zenira.

Zenira shook his head, Adelia told me if this food was the food of the past that she often bought, unfortunately even though the delicious food is very difficult to find.

As Zenira was eating, Ramon saw a cakwe handyman selling across the street, Ramon rushed to the salesman and bought him for Rei.

Rei did love the cakwe that was like fried bread but had a savory taste, after buying Ramon rushed across the street and back to the car.

Not satisfied with the snacks he bought, Zenira again took a walk to the park to see what else he could buy.

Tora invites Zenira to walk down the street leading to a larger complex garden, where there are sellers of painted cakes that taste better.

"Udah ah, full!" Zenira then returned to the car.

Ramon and Adelia who saw Zenira had returned and took Zenira for a walk around Jakarta, Ramon was eager to show Zenira the places of Rei's childhood.

Zenira seemed pleased and agreed to his Papi-in-law's invitation.

The first place they visited was Rei's childhood school which was near the Rei cafe, where Rei's school was not far from the restaurant where Rei invited Zenira.

"Ow, yeah. Yesterday we ate here!" Zenira said as he pointed towards Bu Marni's food stall where he and Rei bought a good grilled chicken.

Hearing these words of Zenira, Adelia invited Ramon to lunch at the Bu Marni food stall, indeed Adelia and Ramon used to eat here but when they were not like now.

"Yes, yesterday Rei also had a chance to tell me about it!" Zenira said getting off the car that had been parked by Tora.

As soon as she got off, Zenira immediately contacted Rei to have her husband eat lunch with her at the simple food stall.

It didn't take long for Rei to come over so happily.

"I want to pepes of fish and tripe!" Said Rei while pointing towards beef tripe and banana leaf packs containing wet anchovies that have been seasoned.

If Rei prefers tripe then Zenira prefers the intestines of cows that have been fried crisp and very delicious if eaten with warm white rice, sambal and lalapan.

Seeing Zenira and Rei ordering cow's innards, Ramon became tempted to try it. Adelia was worried about finally allowing her husband to enjoy this meal once in a while.

After all the orders arrived, Rei instantly devoured this favorite food of his.

"Slow down!" The whisper of Zenira who was worried about the way Rei ate that rushed.

After the meal, Rei asked for additional white rice and tripe because it tasted so good.

"Rei don't eat most offal!" Adelia's whisper was worried about Rei's large meal portion today.

Zenira just laughed to see Rei eating very greedy, he did not want to cook innards at home so that every time there are cow offal, Rei would immediately ask for a double portion for him to eat.

Ramon then asked for additional rice but with a side dish tofu pepes, Ramon said if this food used to be the most he often bought at this restaurant.

Adelia seemed to be nostalgic with Ramon, they were not rich as they are now and had a hard life so only strong by eating tempe tofu pepes in this restaurant.

"Mommy, I'm so sad to remember all that!" Rei whispers to Adelia, who no longer remembers her past.

Ramon used to be a small trader and had a difficult life but now Ramon really hopes Rei wants to be a submissive child and wants to keep the continuity of his business until the end of his life.
