36. Share Story (4) : Najim

"You only see his eyes, Man?", Aunt closed her mouth with her palm, she shuddered a little at the story of Giman just now.

This afternoon he sat on the front bale of the terrace of the house, waiting for Mr. Tani who is now in the living room of the house along with Grandpa who was discussing the rice field. Finally Pak Tani allowed Najim to come to the grandfather's house as long as he was not naughty and could maintain his attitude. After some time had passed, Najim felt that he had indeed sat for quite a while and waited in this long bale and made him yawn a little. He glanced back at the cake that was left and ate it. While chewing on the cake, he observed a glimpse of this grandfather's house which he thought was a very large house with a very wide courtyard. He looked towards the empty land that was separate with the yard next to the house which is usually used for the process of drying grain. Because he was already feeling very bored, plus the tea and cake he had eaten had run out, finally Najim decided to take a short walk around the yard area of the house. After he convinced himself that his father was still a long time inside the house, he stood up from his sitting position then walked slowly towards the spacious courtyard.

There are two guava trees that become the boundary between vacant land and the yard of the house, some of the land is coated with a kind of brick, most of which has been destroyed and grown by weeds. Previously, he had stopped by this house with Giman, his brother only to deliver cassava made by their mother to Pak Tani while doing grain mixing. In addition to the two trees, he also saw not far from the tree there was a small old and rickety building that he knew it was a chicken coop owned by his father's master, in Najim's view somehow the cage looks so creepy, maybe because it looks weathered and worn. Not knowing what the feeling was, Najim then stepped foot to go to the area where the chicken coop was located. He stood far enough away from the barn and went back to observe it. He remembered that the owner of this house as well as the master of his father was raising many chickens which were all chicken. He had indeed seen the number is very much and his female chickens have chicks that also amounted to a lot. But somehow this chicken coop feels lonely, like empty, like there's nothing there. He did not hear the sound of a chicken faintly inside, nor did he see any chickens wandering around the courtyard. He walked to the rickety cage to see the part of the cage. He knew Ita should not be here, considering that maybe his father would scold him and the day was getting late.

Now he was at the door of the chicken coop and pushed it slowly. He only pushed it a little but the cage door that was no less rickety was immediately opened and immediately showed the inside of the cage that was dark enough and made Najim afraid. It turned out that the cage was not empty, but it was not the domestic chickens of the owner of this house that were inside. But a strange creature with a tall thin body without clothes in the cage with a bent position , with a look of horrifying sharp eyes and sharp-nailed skinny hands it was like wanting to grab Najim who was standing right in front of the cage door. What is even more terrifying is that the neck of the strange creature can extend and stick out its tongue which is shaped like a flame. Directly without any cue Najim ran as fast as he could without looking back while shouting loudly. Dad, Grandpa and Grandma were on the front porch when Najim was hard to get there crying sobbing.

"Lu see that creature, Jim?", asked Grandpa who made Najim immediately nod quickly. If Grandma did not prevent it, maybe Pak Tani would scold Najim who even wandered in front of the rickety cage.

Grandpa finally told me, actually all the chickens have been moved to a new chicken coop located in the yard next door, because in recent days the grandfather's pet chickens often crowed and cackled for no apparent reason, even at night it remained that way. Because he felt something was wrong he finally asked this to Atek, his friend who had also helped himself about the Goddess. Atek saw that there was a supernatural creature that turned out to like grandfather's pet chickens, which is why the chickens became very noisy not because.
