The House 1937's

The House 1937's
50. Seeking Truth (4)

Papa's eyes widened to hear Ncek Afung's explanation, his feeling was now like getting a breath of fresh wind after disappointment swirled in his mind for a while. His arrival to this place that he had thought was futile, now changed into a new hope that made him able to breathe with relief.

"True Ncek??", Papa asked back to Ncek Afung, his joy was like dulling his hearing to the point that he asked the man before him again.

"True Jun, his name is Chun In, he lives in Babah Hwan's house which is in the area behind this temple.", he said..",

"Am I able to meet him today Ncek?, because..., yes I know this suddenly.", Papa slightly sighed.

"So the cave nanya to the guard of the Temple which is at the back, Chun In today is at home. Later the cave will go to his house first., you both just wait here first...",

"But..., can it really be today Ncek?,",

"Gua call you Babah you must be he doesn't mind Jun, you Dateng came all the way there must be important business, he must understand..", Ncek Afung once again begs to leave the two of them to meet Chun In, the person they will now meet.

After Ncek Afung left the two of them, Papa rubbed his eyes slowly, and looked at his best friend with a slightly brighter expression.

"Ga in vain also Man cave came here.", Papa to shake the shoulder soft Om Herman who was enjoying the pieces of moon cake chocolate bean served on the table.

"Lu may be pleased Jun, but see?, the cave again eats.", If only Om Herman did not pull Papa's hand which still continues to shake him, he said, maybe he could have choked with a mooncake in his mouth. Papa just chuckles at the look on Om Herman's upset face while continuing to chew on his mooncake. At first glance, sometimes they are both like children trapped in the body of an adult.

"From on you disturb the cave continues, mendingan you drink your tea tuh. Just as you want what else to do besides that...",

Papa's gaze was immediately shifted from the warm tea glass that was now in his hand, towards Om Herman's face with a slightly surprised look. Papa thought for a moment, right, he had come so far to this temple, too short if he only asked about the creepy experience that was also experienced by Aunt Alin.

"Don't tell me you don't think at all?", Seeing the expression of papa looking at him like that, Om Herman just shook his head, slightly massaging his temples. He did not expect that his best friend could be as straight as it was, there is absolutely no principle of 'while diving drink water'.

"Jun, while diving down to drink water", Om Herman said loud enough to papa that papa turned his face and put his tea glass back on the table.

"Local rain Man.", Papa warned Om Herman who seemed to drool a little when talking.

"Jun.., we've come here so far. It is impossible to ask only one thing. Yes, the cave knows it's a precarious thing, but it doesn't hurt to ask other things too right?,"

"What do you want to ask?,",

Papa directly hit the arm soft Om Herman who even smiled ignorantly with a laugh out loud. Papa knew exactly, the soul mate he meant was Aunt Alin, his own little sister.

"Chun In's kalo says you're not good for Alin, you're not going to permit your cave to be the same as Alin's...",

Papa's firm answer with a mocking tone made Om Herman hit back slowly papa's arm. Those who were even busy joking around were suddenly startled by the living room door that suddenly opened. It was seen Ncek Afung who was even confused to see two young men in front of him was actually hitting each other with sofa pillows. They finally stopped joking after the male guard of this Temple cleared his throat for a moment.

"Chun In said he could be found tonight...",

The color of the sky slowly changed, from a light blue color decorated with white clouds slowly to orange. Today it was late afternoon and now the two friends are waiting for the person they will meet in the front room is quite spacious, inside a Chinese architecture house that if seen at a glance is similar to the architecture of the grandmother house. They were silent, not talking let alone joking as they had done in the waiting room. Only the sound of a wall clock ticking, occasionally the sound of geckos that are somewhere, but the voice of a creature that looks like a giant lizard is heard clearly along with the sound of a wall clock ticking.

"Jun..., is it still a long time?", Om Herman asked half-whisperingly towards Papa who was just flinching next to him.

Om Herman who understands that if papa like that indirectly Papa does not want to talk first. He was just languishing slowly and his gaze now turned to the magazine under the living room table. It was a monthly magazine published by the Temple to be given to the people every month. The magazine contains various interesting articles, activities held by Klenteng, and people's donation report for the cost of making this monthly magazine.

Some time passed, finally the person they were waiting for had arrived. The man who Ncek Afung said was named Chun In stepped into this front room from inside the house. Papa took a quick look at this son of Babah Hwan. If you look around, maybe this Chun In has the same age as Papa and Om Herman, if different though, may not be far away. The man named Chun In greeted kindly and greeted the two of them. The owner of the house glanced at this front room table, seen the treats given to the two guests in the form of warm tea, cake and dodol was still intact, not touched in the least. The facial expressions of both of his guests, especially Papa, looked unsettled, and agitated. Ncek Afung, who had been coming to his house for a while, told him that the son of his late father's friend had come here to meet him, although their original purpose was to meet Babah Hwan himself. Chun In also understood with the arrival of these two guests who suddenly, in his vision, he saw Papa indeed like to ask something that is not only important, but also precarious. He momentarily took a breath, neutralizing his feelings, so that the anxiety felt from his guest was not 'contagious' to him.

PS: The call 'Ncek' is usually used to call Papa's younger brother. Or it could be to call an older man, impressed familiar and close. Can be paired with "Uncle" or "Om", but more clearly visible position in the family indirectly.
