The House 1937's

The House 1937's
61. Invitation to the House

Papa pressed the button on the phone with the same number the day after. Lula then, he had tried to contact Chun In, but he had three times pressed the same number, the phone call was not picked up. Because Chun In did not pick up the phone, papa finally called the telephone number owned by Klenteng and papa connected with Ncek Afung who picked up the phone. Papa who confirmed his phone that Chun In did not answer, Ncek Afung also explained that on the day he called, Chun In was not home.

When he was asked what needs until if papa reached call to Klenteng, Papa reasoned that Grandma who had business with the late Babah Hwan and papa only as a representative of Grandma only. Papa then ended the conversation as decently as possible and immediately closed the phone. Given that he had previously engaged in a complicated conversation with one of the Temple guards, he did not want any unnecessary talks.

Papa waited anxiously, the voice of the phone still ringing, the sign of the phone was not yet picked up. Papa sighed, did his phone this time also not pick up like yesterday?. However, the assumption is wrong because papa's phone connection has been connected.

"Hello?", the voice of the phone call greeted Papa, a voice that sounded familiar, Chun In who picked up this phone call.

"Hello?, Koh Chun In?, This is me Koh, Jun...", Papa immediately mentioned his name with a feeling of relief in his heart, finally his phone connection was lifted as well.

"Oh, Koh Jun huh?, Yes Koh this is me Chun In, the day after yesterday Ncek Afung told me that Engkoh call to my house, sorry yes Koh yesterday I was not at home..", Chun In's speech intonation sounded a little shaky, like feeling unwell to Papa.

"Yes Koh is okay, I understand.", Papa stared at the wall clock in the living room. With a sigh for a moment, he began to tell the creepy events experienced by Bi Inah. Papa told me everything over the phone with Chun In's face listening carefully and looking at her serious face. Hearing this story from Papa, he suspected that it seemed that the problem regarding Grandma's house and her surroundings was indeed not that simple. Given based on his "vision", the house and the land were indeed troubled from the beginning they occupied it.

"Is Engkoh not busy in the near future?, because I want to invite Engkoh to come to the house, to check here Koh....., can Engkoh?", Papa took a short breath, waiting for an answer from Chun In over there.

"Thank you in advance, Koh, would like to invite me to Engkoh's house. I happen to have no activities in the next three days, maybe I can come to visit later. I'll be back soon...",

In his heart, Chun In had wanted to ask about Koh Afung who was interested in papa who wanted to match papa with his daughter. But he said it, because he felt Papa was not interested in it at all. Plus papa already has his own potential partner.

After chatting for a while just for pleasantries and courtesy, papa finally ended his conversation on the phone with Chun In after saying thank you. Papa hung up the phone and looked Grandma who entered the living room from the front with a curious face.

"How's Jun?", Grandma knew full well that you had called Chun In and replied to him with a slow nod.

"Say he's only been able to come here in three days, well. Later Chun In will call again", Grandma immediately put on a relieved facial expression.

"Yes already Jun, later told BI Inah to ask for help to clean up Toni's room for Chun In to stay here...", The empty Aunt Dewi and Om Toni rooms are only occasionally cleaned.

"Yes Well, Jun will tell BI Inah...",

"Yes Chun In, don't feel bad. I even feel happy, do not hesitate, let's eat...",

Today Bi Inah cooks more than usual, at the dinner table has also gathered Papa and Aunt Alin who began to enjoy the dinner. Chun In was shocked, because when he first set foot in this house. Chun In once saw an old portrait of this house once taken by Babah Hwan, the state of this house does not seem much changed. It only looks a little shabby compared to the old portrait he saw. The grandmother he saw in Babah Hwan's portrait has changed a lot. With a kebaya that became his great clothes, but his hair that has been bleached a lot here and there. In the past, Babah Hwan had indeed told him that he had handled cases from his best friend. His son got a 'disorder' that was deliberately sent by others so as to make the child sick to the point of fatigue. All she knows now is that the child, who is none other than Aunt Dewi, now lives and works in Singapore with her husband.

In addition to his acquaintance with Grandma and Aunt Alin, he has also talked briefly with Bi Inah who may be after this dinner or tomorrow he will ask about the event further. To be honest, as a 'sensitive' person, once he set foot into this house, he felt an unfavorable energy, which felt very difficult to exist since time immemorial, he said, before the Papa family occupied this land and house.

"Chun In, how is the condition of the Temple?, it is difficult for a long time not to visit there..", Grandma again opened a conversation with Chun In, while Papa and Aunt Alin were only listeners, as well, focus on enjoying their dinner. Papa and Aunt Alin understood to give Grandma time to talk to the son of the late Grandpa's best friend.

"Yes Well, the temple is crowded if the weekend Well. Celebration Temple is only a few months away.", Chun In noticed for a moment this family member, and he had a stale talk about Aunt Goddess who was once handled by his Papa.
