Thoriq, Kala, Liam, and Aira completed the maghrib prayer. Solo rained heavily so they decided to pray at home.
“Aya, tomorrow what time do we leave for Yogyakarta?”
“Abis dawn we leave, how? No part? Until Yogya we have breakfast first. Gudeg wants to, huh? Only then we go to the Sky Swing Watu Jaran, eat in the area. In the afternoon we go back to the hotel and then we try Malioboro Terrace. There's a nice duck.”
“Our day went to Merapi, right? I want to see the traces of the volcano erupted.”
“In shaa Allah, Liam. Later Uncle rental jeep so exciting.”
“Yay!” Kala and Aira cheered in excitement. It did not feel like they had been on vacation in Indonesia for two weeks. Thoriq took Kala and Liam to various tourist attractions including seeing his villas.
At the end of the week, Thoriq vacated his best villa and invited the teenagers to stay there. Villa overlooking Mount Lawu.
Thoriq and Kala took the time together to get to know more. Thoriq was amazed by how Qiara and Devan raised Kala. Although living in England, but his son can teach well with a melodious voice. Prayer never breaks either.
So did Liam. Unlike the other Caucasian youths, Liam is much more polite. Especially with Aira. He would ask before entering the room if Aira had already worn her veil. Although with a prank tone, but he respects Aira to close the aurat.
The four of them often discussed various things, from life, religion, ideals. Including Liam's wits who wants to make Thoriq tell him about his feelings. Presumably Liam wants to try his skills at a higher level, not just at his school friends.
Thoriq doesn't have much to say about the past. He just said he used to love Qiara very much. When asked about Aira's mother, the man simply replied Hanna chose to leave.
Aira had forgotten who her mother was. There are no pictures of Hanna at her father's house. Thoriq did not want to say bad things about Hanna. Kala seems to have forgotten that Hanna once kidnapped and hurt him. The boy had experienced trauma.
Being engrossed in chatting and joking hape Liam quivered.
“Kala, Buna phone.”
Kala immediately approached Liam and laughed excitedly to see Buna's face surrounded by four sisters.
“Assalamualaykum, Buna.” Kala's style is a little turned into a cool ass. But not with his brothers
“Waalaykumussalam Mas Kala and Liam,” shouted them in unison. Liam refused to be called with the attributes of mas, sis, or bang. Just name it.
The summoned ones waved to Abby, Azka, Barran, and Hayyan.
“Mas Kala, Abby has graduated fifth grade for piano academy. Abby became the youngest student in grade six.”
“Azka and Barran champion one, Hayyan champion three in the riding race,” chatter Azka and Barran. Hayyan was silent, his eyes disappointed.
Abby and the triplets were only a year apart. They were alone except for Hayyan who was smaller than his brothers. He is often less and more quiet.
“Waah congratulation all,” says Kala. Liam smiled at his sisters.
“Good job Abby, Azka, Barran, and Hayyan.”
“But I'm only the champion of three, not the champion of Azka and Barran,” said Hayyan lirih.
Qiara kissed the youngest's cheek.
“No worries, mate,” says Liam is relaxed with his Aussie style.
“You guys are in a different category, right? The opponent must be different, the level of difficulty is different. No need to bandingin with Azka and Barran, next if there is a race, you try to make your performance even better. You guys too, yeah, Azka and Barran.”
“Emang there are champions above champion one?” Azka asked while furrowing her brows.
“Ya score should be higher and try not to slump.”
Qiara stared proudly at the conjoined child who was now acting more mature.
“If it does not get better, I bite your ass one-on-one,” added Liam immediately collapsed Qiara's opinion about his adult attitude.
Liam's jokes made the Triplets laugh, including Hayyan.
“Bos Kala ..when to go home Abby kangen.”
“Abby, call him Mas Kala,” Qiara reminded. From childhood, Kala always taught Abby that she was not just a sister but a boss. Abby herself seemed okay and obeyed her brother's wishes.
He then blinked one eye at Abby. Code for her sister to obey Buna's orders.
“Mas When to go home?” Abby makes her call still with a sulking face.
“Three more weeks, be patient yes.” Kala with a pretentious style to calm his sister.
“Assalamualaykum Mas Thoriq and Aira,” greet Qiara who saw her ex-husband and daughter busy either doing what behind Liam and Kala.
“Alaykumussalam Aunt Qia,” reply Aira quickly while chuckling. Thoriq desperately saw the behavior of his only daughter who was trying to block his gaze towards Qiara.
Liam and Kala stared in amazement at the behavior of the fathers.
“Ababar Qia?”
They stop when Devan enters the room and captures Barran
“Stop, stop ..”
Azka who freely mocked Barran while doing victory dance.
“Azka, let's say hello to Uncle Thoriq yet.”
Liam and Kala miss the fray between the brothers. Sometimes they become mediators, not infrequently become igniters.
“Halo Thoriq, hopefully Liam and Kala do not take care of you, yes,” say Devan is now sitting next to Qiara. Abby as Daddy's son sat on his lap.
“Ngak. Exciting, usually here deserted. There they become rame. When did they even insist on going to the rice fields, I was aja males down to the rice fields.”
“Sawah as a ricefield? You went and played in a ricefield?” Abby put on a puffed face.
“Yes, I got leeches, kept the same Aya spit, the leech got dislodged.”
“Waaaw. Uncle Devan if I go there ajakin sometime too, yes. Mba Aira wants to nemenin, right?”
Aira who is the same as Thoriq is easily disgusted immediately put on a face to faint.
“Mmm I can make you excited. I'm a pretty girl playing. I'll be at the spa. Here there is a spa, you can scrub with Indonesian spices. Your skin becomes shiny. Glowing it.”
“That's me too, anyway. Okay next year, can you, Dad?”
Devan agreed, Abby looked satisfied.
“Mba Aira main to London too, dong same uncle Devan.”
Aira knew the reason Devan didn't want to visit Kala to London was so as not to get close to Qiara. In fact, from the financial side they are very successful.
“I'm just busy if the holiday season. Yeah, right Ay?”
“Betul, Uncle even rarely can go-away if the holiday season. Outside the school Aira. Later when we set the time yes, Abby.”
“Kala and Liam diligently do not pray, Mas?”
“Maa shaa Allah, diligent, Qia. Do not ask them to pray to the mosque. Tonight it was raining heavily so we prayed at home.”
“Buna, cook a week before Kala comes home, Adek Aira wants to enter the pesantren,” sulk Kala.
“Tadi new tabarin, Aunt. Said because Aira moved so there's an adaptation period.”
“When we meet Aira's sister for a while. It should be five weeks so it's only four weeks,” complained Kala again. Thoriq was anxious with his eldest son who was sometimes spoiled.
“Let's anterin aja to pesantren.” Liam tried to comfort his sister.
“Pesantrennya in deket Semarang city, we can use a car only. We will stop at some places. There is a cool waterfall, you must like deh, Kal,” persuaded Thoriq because Kala is still pouting.
“Yawdah, yawdah ..”
“Kalandra,” reprimand Qiara with low voice. Of his six children is indeed Kala who is often called Si Loba Gaya. Possessive attitude. According to psychologists, this is the long-term impact of the trauma of ever having a kidnapping.
This possessive attitude arises when someone he cares about has to leave. Despite trying to understand, Qiara, Devan, and Thoriq as biological father tried to soften it.
“Sorry, Aya, Aira,” Kala's voice softens, her lips are no longer manyun.
“Later Mas try to talk to Ustadzah Nurlaila, deh. Who knows Aira could be dispensated. We rarely collect.”
“Ask it, Mas, but if not, Kala should understand, yes,” Qiara said staring gently at Kala who still did not accept but did not dare to argue with her mother.
“You guys haven't slept, it's been a really late night in London.”
“Mummer morning, Uncle, so the sun also just sunk a few hours ago. Still on holiday so free to sleep at what time. Yeah, right Bun?” Hayyan was looking for a gap to stay up late.
“Had. Another hour all sleep.”
“Ah Daddy and Buna also always sleep really bad. Before a noisy sleep. I've been often heard ..”
Devan hurriedly covered Barran's mouth with his hand while Qiara's face suddenly turned red. Devan and Qiara immediately misbehaved in front of the children and Thoriq.
Liam raises his eyebrows with a prickly eye making Devan want to throw him with a roll of socks.
“Okay, have fun, yes Liam and Kala. Mas Thoriq, Aira, sometime we video call. Bye!” Qiara quickly hung up the phone.
Still heard in Thoriq's ear a question from one of the triplets, “Emang Buna and Daddy if noisy again why?”
