CHAPTER 8

"Let's have breakfast first, Dik," asked Bu Nesti to his son who just came out of the room.

"What did you make breakfast for today?" ask her to Mama.

"Mama make sausage fried rice. Come here to eat first let the spirit of work" said Bu Hesti as he waved his hand at Diko who was wearing his watch.

"Yes Ma, Papa where's Ma? Had breakfast?" he asked while crabbing looking for the whereabouts of his papa who usually hang out at the dinner table for breakfast and read the newspaper.

"Silver," said Ms. Nesti as she pointed towards the bathroom door. It looks like Mr. Ridwan just came out of the bathroom after urinating.

"What's Papa looking for?" ask her father who heard her name mentioned.

"Ga nothing Pa. I'm afraid papa has left for work," Diko replied as she scooped her mother's fried rice into the plate.

"Not yet, part if Papa leaves at this hour" replied Mr. Ridwan who then sipped his wife's tea.

"Oh yeah, how are you with Riana? Any progress?" ask Mr. Ridwan again.

Diko looked limp hearing her Papa's question. He must have been nagged this morning because there has been no progress at all in his introduction to Riana.

"Hmmm, not yet Pa. I am still busy Pa, there are several projects that are being pursued due to the deadline" said Diko reasoned.

"In between jobs, you can't take a minute just to type a chat on your phone?" asked Mr. Ridwan with a little annoyance.

"Yes I don't concentrate on Pa if while chatting that" he replied with another reason.

"You must remember, Tia is next month if you can be married. And Papa won't let Tia get married if you're overstepped. Pamali if in our family." said Mr. Ridwan increasingly upset.

"Yes Pa, yes. Diko must be serious looking for a mate, but wait for this project to concentrate so yes" he replied so that his Papa was not angry.

"Ah feeling from last year papa have heard that reason. But the proof until now you have not wanted to be serious" replied his father who was tired of hearing the reasons Diko.

"After all, call Riana immediately. Increase your introductory progress. Don't make Papa not good with Riana" continued Mr. Ridwan.

"Yes Pa, yesaa" Diko replied as she grabbed her car keys.

He said goodbye to Papa and his mother and immediately left. Because if he linger over breakfast, he may be nagged at length by his Papa.

On the road to his office Dikopun daydreamed about his father's words.

Diko pityed on Tia, his sister, who could have broken the marriage because of him. He could not imagine how much sadness Tia would experience.

Tia plans to marry Reza, an army soldier who will be transferred to Sulawesi starting next month. Reza and Tia plan to get married before Reza moves in. But their intention was hindered because Diko did not have a future wife.

"Who will I marry before next month?" ask him to yourself.

"What is easy marriage? What if it doesn't fit? Divorce?" his scolding all the way
