Ch 116: Meeting

The city elders mobbed the opinion of the Jingmi Nobles to include Yang Jian in the meeting. And that certainly made the Jingmi Nobles even more in a dilemma. He was a little regretful of his implicit speech which led Yang Jian into the meeting without thinking before.

"That Young Master, what if-" The Jingmi Nobles who were trying to speak to mediate were cut off by Yang Jian's remark. "When are you going to argue? You'll regret what you did if you don't let me in."

The words of Yang Jian who seemed arrogant were greeted by the look of dislike and the look of a trivial face from the elders. As for Nobles Jingmi who heard that slightly pale, she thought that Yang Jian planned to mess with this residence if he dared to

insinuate him.

"Alright please, Young Master. Sorry if it makes you wait longer." The Jingmi Nobles invited Yang Jian into another room to hold a meeting which Yang Jian immediately welcomed, some elders seemed to be about to air a protest but in reply to the sharp plot by the Jingmi Nobles.

The attitude of the High Nobles who were so cautious of Yang Jian made the elders finally succumb.they inevitably walked following the Nobles of Jingmi and Yang Jian towards the other meeting hall. They were also curious, what would make them regret if they did not include Yang Jian.

Now that they had been sitting neatly in a fairly large room, the circle-shaped table and chair with one of the seats at the frontmost end looked strong and dashing. The seat was occupied by the Jingmi Nobles. Meanwhile at another table was filled by the city elders and the right hand of the Jingmi Nobles. For Yang Jian himself to sit on one of the chairs facing the Jingmi Nobles.

Nobles Jingmi started to open the meeting, after the meeting opened someone suddenly said out loud. "Can you say what you meant by what you said before? I hope you're not just looking for thrills and belittling this elder!" Said the old elder while staring intently at Yang Jian.

Yang Jian was silent, looked at Nobility Jingmi and ignored the old elder. "I've known a little bit of the obstacles you're going through right now." Said Yang Jian calmly. There was not the slightest fear from the look on his face even though he was surrounded by influential people in Stone City.

"And I don't think the elder is in a place where the elder can be trivial towards me." Furthermore Yang Jian who now turned to look at the elders who were mocking him earlier.

Nobles Jingmi let out a long sigh. There is no one in this city who does not know how severe the condition of Batu City and how unlucky their financial condition is. Ignoring the dislike of the elders, the Jingmi Nobles began to explain the lack of funds and food they needed right now.

"Right now, the funds we have collected are only able to cover the loss of about thirty percent." The Jingmi Nobles. He began to explain any costs they would have to cover for the recovery of Stone Town.

Yang Jian listened to Nobles Jingmi's explanation carefully until the end. Yang Jian speculated that if he covered his seventy percent fee shortfall again from the treasures Xiao Ming had given in his dimension ring then Yang Jian still had treasures left. After all Yang Jian still had one other dimesi ring given Yang Shui, however Yang Jian had no intention of using the ring because Yang Jian would use it when he managed to recapture the Yang Clan from his uncle.

"Even though we managed to collect and obtain seventy percent of the other aid, still we were unable to restore Stone City as it was available." In other words, the entire fund they had calculated was the entire cost to the rest of the Stone Town community. And that does not include funds for their initial capital in the future.

"What other ways does the elder mean? Isn't every time we've thought of other ways to even beg for help from the other party? But look what we got? They seem to close their eyes to our troubles." Reply Nobles Jingmi in despair. Once one night the Jingmi Nobles planned to move their people to several cities that were quite rich and prosperous but none of them were willing to accommodate the people of Batu City.

That made Nobles Jingmi so disappointed and desperate. Even the Jingmi nobles and some other nobles who still had assets left behind took out all of their wealth to help Stone Town but did not bring any meaningful change.

The Jingmi Nobles actually did not expect much more towards Yang Jian, but his desperation made the Jingmi Nobles who were somehow eager to explain the financial condition of Stone Town to Yang Jian.

The aura and Charisma Yang Jian released made the Jingmi Nobles so interested and curious at the same time. Yang Jian was also aware that Nobles Jingmi doubted him, but seeing how Nobles Jingmi did not ignore him and chose to trust him made Yang Jian feel satisfied. Finally Yang Jian also chose to trust the Jingmi Nobles.

"I can cover up the lack of funds."

One sentence made Nobles Jingmi and the elders freeze. The faces of the city elders looked dumbfounded, yet did not detract from the trivial look of them even now they considered Yang Jian an idiot who did not know the place.

"This is not a youth playground. Don't try to lie to us." Said one of the city elders so aware of his surprise and followed by a nod of the heads of the other elders.

Unlike the elders of the city, Nobles Jingmi did not show the slightest dislike towards Yang Jian, even now his gaze was like finding a glimmer of hope.

"How can we accept your generosity, Young Master?" The voice of the Jingmi Nobles that made the elders as well as the right hand of the Jingmi Nobles gawk in disbelief.

While Yang Jian himself smiled faintly. 'It's a good decision!' Yang Jian muttered inwardly, now diligently Yang Jian grew rounder to help Stone City. If only the previous Nobles of Jingmi doubted Yang Jian, then Yang Jian would also doubt them. However after hearing the response of Nobles Jingmi, it made Yang Jian feel better.

The elders of the city were about to protest, but after seeing how the Jingmi Nobles had placed their hopes on Yang Jian undo their intentions.

"But, of course I won't give it away for free." Yang Jian continued to relax.
