The Legend of the Sacred Sword Cultivator

The Legend of the Sacred Sword Cultivator
Ch 79: Lin Fan

A neat room where books line up and line up neatly on bookshelves. Very beautiful and clean. The aroma that was letting out in the air really explained the special aroma of the book.

Yang Jian took Jiji and Yiyi to the second floor, the floor where the information storage was located. Due to the large number of books available, they painstakingly sort out the books that became their destination.

Not knowing how many hours passed, but until now there has been no clue they get. Yang Jian let out a long sigh, then resumed his search, until his focus was diverted to somewhere.

Yang Jian's focus was on the top shelf, about five to six meters high. There is a special ladder provided to be able to reach the books. There was one book, which was thick enough but a little dusty, but not touched for a long time.

"I'll take it for you Sir." A library guard who was a warior cultivator approached Yang Jian. And without waiting for Yang Jain's response, he intended to jump into the air to grab the book, but he had not been able to reach the book, there was another energy he felt.

With a single hand move, Yang Jian extended his hand into the air, then the book Yang Jian looked at earlier shot swiftly into Yang Jian's palm. It was as if some magnetic energy was pulling him.

The librarian man gulped down a rough gulp, he clearly knew that something Yang Jian had just done was not an easy matter, he was a cultivator. He clearly knows the level of practice that must be achieved before being able to make the movement.

Slowly, the library guard man descended. He did not even dare to look at Yang Jian. In contrast to Yang Jian, he seemed to be indifferent to the change in attitude of the cultivator's guard man, but preferred to dwell with the book in his hand.

The book was inscribed with ancient letters, but Yang Jian was able to recognize the letters because Yang Shui deeply disciplined Yang Jian's knowledge early on.

Yang Jian opened the sheets of each sheet of the book, Yang Jian's expression was fickle and sometimes unreadable at all. It didn't take long for Yang Jian to absorb the knowledge within the book. After that he closed the book and returned it to the previous shelf in one flick of a hand.

Then Yang Jian rushed to meet Jiji and Yiyi to convey his discovery.

"Is there anything else Mr Lin Fan?" The look on Yiyi's face looked unfriendly as she found out the man she and her friend had met in front of the library desk guard seemed to keep following her, it was clear that the man had deliberately followed them with one intention.

"Ah no, not interfere. I'm just curious. What brings you here? Maybe I can help, yeah if I can." Replied Lin Fan who seemed to be sorting out the right language so as not to make Yiyi even more suspicious of him.

"Aren't you in the meddling stage now?" Reply Yiyi with a sharp tone.

"I know, that man you were with before. That mysterious look became a fugitive of the Mu family."

Lin Fan's words made Yiyi's countenance deteriorate, she slightly turned her head around trying to figure out Yang Jian and Jiji's position. But he has not found the two men's noses.

"And you're getting more involved. I assume I've never heard your words."

"But you heard it." Reply Lin Fan casually who got a sharp shot from Yiyi. Yiyi was about to retaliate, but Jiji's call stopped her.

"Come on!" One word from him got a head nod from Jiji and Yiyi, Yang Jian slightly lowered his head as he passed Lin Fan. After all, Yang Jian should have been respectful to the senior.

"I think I can help you."

Yang Jian, Jiji and Yiyi's footsteps came to a halt upon hearing Lin Fan's exclamation. "Facing your family is not difficult for me." Lin Fan continued.

"Your name is Yang Jian. I wasn't sure at first, but after considering many things my guess was getting stronger that you were the one. I don't think you're a troublesome partner to work with, by any chance..."

"Do I look like someone who needs help?" Cut Yang Jian, Yang Jian's sharp gaze slightly shook Lin Fan's heart, no matter what happened, he seemed unable to stare at his blue bead for more than three seconds.

"Aren't you too arrogant for a child who doesn't have any abilities?" A man wearing the same robe as Lin Fan spoke in a scathing tone and appeared to growl furiously.

"Sometimes we have to be kind to good people and arrogant to arrogant people." Reply Yang Jian was no less gluttonous. Jiji and Yiyi turned their heads and looked at Yang Jian, their first meeting with Yang Jian who before them now looked different in personality.

Yang Jian was now colder and harder to approach, unlike before. Did the life-and-death fight he had during his time in the Forbidden Forest make his personality change? Or was it because Yang Jian still blamed himself for the condition of the dragon?

Or perhaps, Yang Jian's recuperating memory and the vision he had obtained carried a deep wound for him? Perhaps more accurately, it was the combination of his three that had made Yang Jian change a lot. It was as if there was no love in his eyes and no love in his heart.

"If there's nothing else, we'll resign." Without waiting for Lin Fan to reply, Yang Jian stepped on his feet and was followed by Jiji and Yiyi from behind. While Lin Fan and his two friends did not seem to try to get in the way.

"Do you have the same thoughts as me?" Asked Lin Fan smiling mysteriously.

"She was great enough to hide her practical level, yet she seemed to be even more formidable than the two children who followed her." Lin Fan gently stroked his smooth chin.

"Brother Lin is indeed Brother Lin Fan, having observant eyes and broad understanding." Praise one of Lin Fan's friends.

"I'm getting anxious to get to know her more, but this may be a bit difficult. I hope you'll work with me."

"Whatever it is, brother. We have found the inn where they stayed for a while. But so far we have not found any definite information as to why they visited Batu City. And also, they only arrived in this city a day ago."

"Alright, keep an eye on their movements. Let nothing be missed."

After the three young men left the library, they seemed to see no more of Yang Jian and his friends.
