"I think this is where we're headed."
Yang Jian, Jiji and Yiyi had stood before the entrance of the largest library in Stone City. According to information, this library has been established since hundreds of years ago, even believed to have exceeded a thousand years.
So many people are looking for this library to explore information about history that has happened before their birth. Or even information about the establishment of a particular organization, sect or clan. Even general information regarding the empire was also.
Yang Jian looked at the three-storey grand building, then they both entered the library towards a table where members registered before being able to use the library.
"Can we help you?" The table guard man asked Yang Jian's entourage. This was the first time Yang Jian visited the library, so he did not know for sure the procedures in the library.
"We're going to use this library to read books." Replied Yang Jian. The man did not immediately reply, he looked at Yang Jian and his two friends closely.
Yang Jian who wore a fine white silky robe was blue in color, with silver hair on his back and a beautiful circular headband on his forehead. Now Yang Jian no longer wore his mask, until his entire face now seemed to radiate the charisma of a leader.
Jiji and Yiyi were also wearing the same silk robes as Yang Jian, but with different colors from Yang Jian. Their robes are light brown with floral patterns and small leaves. Very well attached to their bodies.
"Oh, it's rare that there are young girls like you who are interested in becoming a scholar." The man replied after satisfiedly observing Yang Jian's group. The man thought, looking at the appearance of the three people before him, it was clear that they were from among the noble families. Because the robes with silk quality can only be purchased by nobles and wealthy families.
"You only need to pay two pieces of gold per person as an entrance fee into this library. After that, you will pay three more gold pieces when you come out. This cost is different if you want to buy a book. Then there will be an additional cost for each purchase." The man replied explaining. He also added that Yang Jian had to fill in his personal data first before paying the entrance fee.
Jiji and Yiyi stiffened slightly hearing that, two pieces of gold was not something Yang Jian needed to think about. But it was different for Jiji and Yiyi. Those who originally came from well-to-do families in the village also knew clearly about the use of the number of coins.
Five gold coins equals the cost of living for a whole month. And now, the man before him asked them to pay five gold coins to read a book alone, and not to buy it? It felt like they wanted to vomit upon hearing the amount of coins they had to pay.
Yiyi clasped the tip of Yang Jian's robe while shaking her head. " Sister Yang, we'll wait outside, brother can go inside by himself."
"When you don't have enough coins to pay the price? Then I'll do it for you guys." Suddenly a young man approached the table followed by two of his friends. The three young men were wearing the robes of the White Cloud Sect.
"Welcome Young Master, long time no visit." The desk guard guy greeted with respect and a smile adorned his lips. From the way the man was, it was clear that the young man who had just arrived had a standing in Stone Town.
"Lately there have been many sect problems, complicated to explain." The young man replied with a small laugh.
"Yes. Young Master is right, the matters of the sect and outside of the sect must always be there. It's hard to predict." Sahut the table guard man while laughing as well.
Yang Jian felt a little uneasy about the young man's gaze, not without reason. When looking at Yang Jian's group, the young man slightly expended his energy to detect whether they were a cultivator or not.
And clearly, the two people in light brown robes were a cultivator, an intermediate stage warior cultivator. What an amazing achievement for a child of their age. Clearly they were genius disciples in their sect.
But there was something strange, the blue-robed young man before him had absolutely no sign that he was a cultivator, not even a hint of his body aura did not emit any cultivator energy. But what puzzled the young man, was why as he looked at Yang Jian, he felt as if there was an invisible huge energy encircling the young man.
As if to say to be careful and not look for trouble with him. "Include me, my name is Lin Fan. I come from the White Cloud sect. You guys..." Lin Fan paused his speech waiting for Yang Jian's group to introduce themselves.
"We're just a newcomer." Yiyi replied flatly. She did not know whether the man before her was a good person or not, which obviously Yiyi did not want to be kind to a person she obviously did not know.
Lin Fan nodded small, he was increasingly convinced that these three people were neutral flow cultivators and they had no sect at all. It made a smile rise on Lin Fan's face, he thought of recruiting them to be disciples of the White Cloud Sect.
"What about my offer?" Asked Lin Fan then, he looked increasingly attracted to the three people before him. Especially Yang Jian, that mysterious young man.
"Thank you for your kindness, sir, but we haven't reached the stage where we have to ask for coins just to enter the library." Cold and freeze Yang Jian's tone of voice.
At first he did not mind Lin Fan's unwillingness to interrupt their conversation. Although it is not polite, but he does not want to waste time on small problems.
But ever since Lin Fan, detecting Yang Jian, Jiji, and Yiyi made himself even more dislike of Lin Fan's nature. It became an unacceptable thing for every cultivator to detect each other's cultivation practices with a dream like Lin Fan did.
Plus, if Lin Fan's kindness had a hidden intent behind it made Yang Jian even more convinced not to be nice to Lin Fan.
"This, thanks for the instructions." Yang Jian placed fifteen gold coins on the table and immediately filled in the data of the three of them. They both left the library guard table.
Lin Fan stared at Yang Jian until he disappeared behind the door. Lin Fan was not offended by Yang Jian's attitude, he clearly knew that his attitude was indeed not good. He felt that the three people before him were only the children of a wealthy family who did not know the rules and ins and outs of a cultivator, that was why Lin Fan behaved so.
But Lin Fan mispredictably, it turned out that Yang Jian felt a sigh. That meant that Yang Jian knew the ins and outs of a cultivator.
"Interesting!"
