The Legend of the Sacred Sword Cultivator
Ch 124: Yang Jian's Intent.

"This-"

"What does this have to do with the Jade Stone Sect?"

Qin Lienhua's explanation was cut by Yang Jian. Qin Lienhua who heard that involuntarily swallowed a rough saliva. Yang Jian's tone of voice looked unfriendly plus the atmosphere started to be uncomfortable.

"We are here speaking not as cultivators nor as Cloud Dragon Sect Elders. Except as an imperial family." Seeing that the atmosphere was not conducive, Elder Tang began to speak up.

Yang Jian simply silently waited for Elder Tang to finish his remark after previously pulling out his aura.

"We can't take help for granted without a clear background. We doubt there will be any unwanted problems in the future, we hope Brother Yang will cooperate."

So far Yang Jian had begun to understand the direction of the conversation. Yang Jian nodded slowly confirming Elder Tang's words. Just like the amount of help Yang Jian was given was no joke. Even Elder Tang himself was not sure if he had that much treasure to hand over for free.

There would be many irresponsible parties who would take the opportunity to manipulate the help Yang Jian handed over if he found out that the person was only one of the white middle sect disciples whose origins were unclear.

If news of Yang Jian helping Stone City to the edge of the Jade Stone Sect then it was certain that the sect would be rewarded by the empire for the purity of their hearts. It was not even impossible if the Jade Stone Sect party monopolized Yang Jian's wealth.

Recalling it made Yang Jian snort amusedly. "I understand. Humans are greedy and selfish living beings. Wanting to belong to others has become a hallmark of man." Replied Yang Jian casually.

Yang Jian straightened his back while smothering his chest. Then one of his hands was raised and restored his long silver mane that touched the cheek.

"What does Elder Tang think if I was the kind of living thing that would just stand still when bullied?" Yang Jian's tone of voice turned solemnly staring down at Elder Tang.

"What I do has nothing to do with any sect, even if it's the imperial side it has nothing to do with all the wealth I have. Please if Elder Tang doubts me and calls the Jade Stone Sect party to investigate the truth that the elder thinks will be a problem for the future. But one thing that elders must and must remember, something that I can easily give, will be just as easy to take."

This was the longest sentence Yang Jian had ever uttered. And every word that came out of Yang Jian's mouth was clearly heard that there was not the slightest rebuttal. The outgoing aura of intimidation made if Yang Jian had just issued the edict of an emperor.

The glint of anger seemed in Yang Jian's blue bead, as he was dishonorably kicked out of the Jade Stone Sect made Yang Jian harbour a feeling of dislike even just hearing the sect's name, if not for recalling the important figure that became one of the inhabitants of the sect, Yang Jian could have already made sure to hold enmity with the Jade Stone Sect.

Qin Lienhua was stunned when he heard one word Yang Jian say. But it did not last long as Yang Jian got up from his seat and then gave a respectful greeting to Elder Tang and himself and left them.

The atmosphere returned silent after Yang Jian's departure. Both Qin Lienhua and Elder Tang were still silent in their respective positions.

Sighing deeply, Elder Tang gently rubbed Qin Lienhua's shoulder. Elder Tang saw clearly visible strokes of worry on Qin Lienhua's face despite trying to hide as neatly as possible.

"Aren't you the one who said that young man wasn't a random person. Then there's no need to think that far."

Hearing Qin Lienhua's reply made Elder Tang chuckle softly. "Yes, okay. You better get some rest, let the teacher set it up." Elder Tang's words ended the chat.

Meanwhile out there, Yang Jian seemed to be rethinking the words of Elder Tang earlier. It was not Yang Jian who was anxious about the worry that Elder Tang meant. But he would inevitably have to think about what risks would occur if the Jade Stone Sect really took advantage of the situation.

Yang Jian had arrived at the basement where Chang Hongli and Shing Zhisu were. Both pairs of husband and wife seemed to be talking at the dinner table.

"Have you arrived?" Shing Zhisu smiled gently then stood up to welcome Yang Jian. Yang Jian felt a little strange and uncomfortable about Shing Zhisu's treatment but was ignored by him.

Yang Jian sat down leisurely on a chair then looked at Chang Hongli,

"You don't intend to heal yourself, Mr Chang?"

"Uhukkk!"

Yang Jian's question made Chang Hongli aghast in shock and choked on his own saliva, Shing Zhisu also reacted the same with both eyes breaking into shock.

"Well-how could-" It was as if Chang Hongli was speechless, Yang Jian had been much of a surprise to them all along, it was not surprising anymore if Yang Jian found out anything else about him that no one else knew.

"Ah yes, I want to. But I can't. You clearly know why considering how we've been doing."

"Lay."

A single word from Yang Jian made Chang Hongli seem to get a glimmer of light amidst the darkness. After a long time Chang Hongli finally had hope of healing himself.

Chang Hongli had a pretty serious case. Where his dantian was covered due to a deadly poison that repelled the flow of qi in his body. The poison was not a deadly poison but if left for a long period of time, then the qi in Chang Hongli's body would fill at one point and would explode and would certainly endanger Chang Hongli's life.

Thinking about it made Chang Hongli despair, but now Yang Jian came and found out that he had a deliberate dantian defect.

Chang Hongli's body trembled, his eyeballs slightly heating up. "Can that be? I mean, do I still have time?"

It was not without reason that Chang Hongli said so, for many years Chang Hongli had run away while looking for a way to recover his dantian. But no, there is no meaningful change. But those years further shortened the rest of Chang Hongli's life.

"Nobody knows before trying." Yang Jian's reply did not necessarily make Chang Hongli relieved. Especially if you see the flat and indecipherable look of Yang Jian made Chang Hongli unable to know the contents of the young man's mind.
