Ch.12 - The Poor Nobility
The young noble immediately held his breath looking at Alucard's cold gaze. But he refrained from stepping back because people were already looking at him.
As a noble, he would maintain his dignity and pride not to lose to a mere commoner.
The young man was named Alex Clue from a Viscount-class noble family. The nobles in divided into several clear, starting from the highest were the nobles of the Duke, Marcuis, Count, Earl, Viscount and Baron.
“Hm, where did you come from commoners? Don't tell me you broke into this big party just to get some food?”
Alucard didn't care about the guy, serving him was just a waste of time so he continued eating cookies, not looking at Alex at all.
“You.. again you dare to ignore me!” Alex clenched his hand.
He was eager to hit Alucard but if he did that it would be tantamount to offending Moniyan Empire for making a mess at Silvana's birthday party.
The people watching began to laugh at Alex for being toyed with by the commoners.
“Warrior!” Alex could finally just summon a soldier.
Some soldiers came to him.
“He is a commoner who dares to enter this party event. Catch him and drive him out!” Alex pointed at Alucard with a triumphant smile.
The soldiers nodded then walked over to Alucard. They were trying to drag the young man out.
“No need to touch me, I can get out myself,” Alucard raised his hand then walked away without glancing a single bit towards Alex.
People were just staring at him, some were staring with condescending looks, some were confused and uncaring.
When Alucard just stepped outside the door of the party room, he passed Guinivere who was still with Granger.
“En Alucard, where are you going? The party event will start,” Guinivere raised his eyebrows.
“I've not received here,” Alucard continues to walk while waving his hand for a moment without turning to Guinivere.
Guinivere wanted to stop him but he didn't. He walked in, saw some soldiers who also wanted to go out, back to their respective guard.
“Wait for the soldier, did something happen earlier?” ask Guinivere.
“So we were called by Mr. Alex Clue, we were ordered to expel the blond young man who was said to be a commoner,” The soldier said politely.
“Oh then you can go.”
“I'm sorry Miss, Mr.” The soldier bowed slightly then walked away.
With a slightly grim expression, Guinivere walked over to the person named Alex Clue.
“Nona Guinivere, nice to meet you,” Alex salutes the noble style with a bright smile.
He didn't want to look bad in front of a Duke's daughter.
“What happened to something earlier?”
“Ah is just a small matter Miss. There was a commoner who dared to enter with the appearance of a noble. It was fortunate that I was able to recognize him as a commoner so I kicked him out before he made a mess at this magnificent event.”
This guy is really brave. Guinivere really didn't know what to say to this fool.
Alucard can be said to be the most special guest at this birthday party. Even Silvana came alone with a Moniyan Empire warrant to invite him to come.
And Silvana's efforts were in vain because of this man.
“Who is your name?”
“Alex Clue, Miss.” Alex introduced himself proudly.
“Alex Clue, you're done.”
After saying that, Guinivere immediately went to take Granger, leaving Alex with a confused face.
After quite a while the guests waited, Silvana finally came.
“Mr Princess Silvana has arrived!” the host used magic to amplify his voice, making all the guests able to hear clearly.
Guests look up at the end of the stairs to the second floor. Silvana, in a beautiful white dress with the Queen, began to walk down the stairs with graceful steps.
Silvana dressed modestly with unraveling hair, a simple smile on her lips could really make the heart become washed away.
All the guests bowed respectfully.
Everyone stood up again, they all put on smiles welcoming princess Silvana and the Queen.
The people began to congratulate and give each other gifts to Silvana.
“Mr Princess Silvana, I represent the Paxley family congratulate you on your 20th birthday.”
A gray-haired man with a golden cut cut on his cheek handed a present to Silvana. He is the heir of one of the Duke's nobles in Moniyan Empire namely the Paxley Family, Aamon Paxley.
“Thank you Aamon.”
People started handing over their gifts, until it was the turn of a young man with red hair. He seemed to have an expression like a Granger, flat as if he could not make any other expression.
“Congratulations that year Mr. Princess Silvana. I'm Julian from Monastery Of Light, Holy Chruch member,” Julian gave me his gift box.
Monastery of Light is the largest church in the Moniyan Empire whose members believe in the Lord Of Light and worship it.
The Monastery Of Light Church is located not far southeast of the Moniyan Empire capital.
Holy Chruch is a group formed by the Monastery of Light, containing the best witches and knights of the church.
Guests continue to give their gift boxes until the gift box is wrapped. The last one is Guinivere.
“Happy birthday Princess, this is a gift from me,” Guinivere gave her gift.
“Thank you Guinivere,” Silvana smiled, “oh yeah, did you see Alucard? I don't see him here at all?”
Silvana was convinced by the warrant, there was no way Alucard wouldn't come.
“Uh.. that, actually Alucard came but he's gone.”
“Go? What do you mean? How can he leave before the party starts?” Silvana frowned.
Guinivere told him what happened before that caused Alucard to leave.
The smile on Silvana's face faded.
“Sorry Princess, I couldn't stop Alucard before.”
“It's not your fault, Guinivere. Do you know which one is Alex Clue?”
Guinivere looked towards the guests, looking for Alex's whereabouts. He found her and took Silvana to where she was.
Alex was now chatting with some noble class Viscount.
“Mr Princess.”
Alex and the others immediately saluted as Silvana approached them.
“Who is Alex Clue?” silvana asked in a monotone tone.
“I'm Mr. Princess,” Alex smiles kindly.
“Alex Clue, from now on your family's noble title will be revoked, you are now no longer a Moniyan Empire noble,” Silvana turned around then walked away, leaving Alex and his silent friends stunned.
“T-wait Princess, don't you have to explain to me, what a mistake I made until my family's noble title was revoked?” alex's body trembled slightly.
“You still dare to ask! Do I need to chop off your head?”
Alex was instantly silent, he fell to his knees with a stunned expression, not knowing what to say. He remembered what he had done at this party, and he found no fault.
He was always polite and always smiled at everyone, except....
Alex widened his eyes as he recalled himself expelling a commoner earlier. And after that Guinivere came to say he was finished. Was that commoner actually a very important person?
“The party ceremony is over, everyone can go home now!” Silvana left immediately.
The Queen immediately approached her daughter to hear the statement. Even the party is just starting, the birthday cake has not been taken out, how can the party end just like that.
“Silvana, is there a problem?”
“Mother, I'm tired and want to rest.”
After bowing for a moment, Silvana went straight up the stairs, went to her room, leaving the guests speechless without knowing what to say.
