Ch.23 - Victory
The battle between Alucard and Silvana was truly a marvelous spectacle for the inhabitants of Moniyan Empire Palace.
The fight opened the eyes of the soldiers if their level was still nothing and had to be more active in training to become stronger.
Alucard and Silvana continued to attack each other relentlessly, but none of them actually hit the target. Both did not get any injuries at all.
Silvana slashed his spear vertically downwards. Alucard easily dodged by tilting his body then leaping backwards, simultaneously performing slashes, unleashing waves of lightning energy.
The Silvana Spear let out a light, carving the runes on its spear lit up then slashing through the waves of lightning energy.
But the lightning energy first exploded before Silvana repelled it. It made a puff of smoke spread blocking Silvana's view.
Alucard uses it to move sideways and then issues the same. He kept doing it fast a dozen times.
Silvana sensed danger, he stopped the end of his spear handle on the floor, letting out a wave of wind until all the puffs of smoke disappeared.
Silvana widened her eyes as she saw dozens of waves of lightning already darting towards her from all directions.
Silvana's spear eyes suddenly split into several small pieces, hovering above his head then spinning fiercely, making waves of energy like tornado balls that became his defense.
Dozens of lightning waves hit his defense continuously causing numerous explosions.
Alucard continuously issued the same attack to pound Silvana's defenses without any intention of giving it the slightest pause.
That left Silvana completely confined within his own defensive technique.
“Do you intend to waste Mana with such an attack? You'll run out of mana first!” Silvana knew what Alucard was thinking.
“We will see Which one will run out first,” Alucard continuously launches attacks.
A dozen minutes passed but Alucard still did not look to run out of Mana.
“What the heck, is the mana can't run out?” Silvana frowned.
Using this defense will continuously consume Mananya. Although not as much as Mana Alucard issued in each attack but still it will be difficult to maintain this defense in the long term. Alucard continues to attack him.
Silvana slightly widened her eyes as she looked at Alucard's right arm. He forgot that Alucard had a large mana stash on his right arm.
“How is Princess Silvana? Can you still last longer?” Alucard increased the intensity of his attacks making Silvana even more depressed.
“I'm careless,” Silvana still doesn't want to give up but the situation doesn't seem to support that.
“All right, I give up!”
Alucard stopped attacking after Silvana surrendered. Silvana himself removed his defenses and all the fragments of his spear eyes fused together and returned to their original place.
Silvana sighed, he really did not expect to be defeated by Alucard. Before that, he could easily defeat her.
“So I won, right?” Alucard smiled faintly, for some reason he was satisfied with his victory.
Perhaps because he thought this was the reward of his previous defeat.
“Huh, I was just off guard, if only I..”.
“Silvana.”
Silvana fell silent upon hearing the familiar soft voice. He turned to the source of the voice, looking at his mother who was smiling meaningfully.
He coughed twice and then his attitude returned full of authority as a princess. I forgot that there are a lot of people here. It is always difficult to maintain the image of a princess when dealing with Alucard.
“Alucard, you are indeed great, worthy of being the easiest Legend-level demon hunter in Moniyan Empire.”
Alucard widened his smile, clearly he mocked Silvana who instantly changed his attitude so quickly.
“You... just watch out!” Silvana could only murmur an annoyance in her heart.
Silvana's smile that had been natural now looked like it was forced, the corner of his left eye also twitched with annoyance.
“Thank you for the compliment Princess,” Alucard slightly bowed respectfully.
Ah, he is not used to doing things like this. This is why he does not like to deal with nobles or the imperial family because he must always maintain his attitude even to gestures.
Queen Siliya approached her daughter.
“Silvana, you're not hurt, are you?” Siliya was certainly worried about her daughter as a mother.
He actually from the beginning did not agree Silvana learned magic and became a fighter on the front line to endanger his life. However what power, Silvana is the successor to the throne of the Empire, she must have the power to defend the throne and protect her people.
“I'm fine mother, I don't need to worry,” Silvana smiled gently.
Siliya turned his head towards Alucard, the young man immediately greeted with a slight bow.
“Alucard, you are so young and have such great power, what if you join forces to become part of the protector of Moniyan Empire? You can serve as commander.”
