Ch.19 - Recovery

Necrokeep won the war against the demons. This is the first time in the history of Necrokeep.

The Necrokeep troops cheered their great victory, and there were no casualties in this war, for all had been raised by Faramis.

Alucard lay on the ground due to exhaustion. He wanted a little rest to recover his stamina.

“Thank you for helping us,” Faramis stood beside Alucard while extending his hand.

Alucard welcomed Faramis hand and stood up.

“So it's over, right?”

“Yes,” Faramis nodded slowly then took out Twillight Orb, “swapai promise I will only use this Twilight Orb once and I will return it.”

Alucard took the Twillight Orb, looked at it for a moment before staring at Faramis.

“Is this Twillight Orb really able to revive people?” Alucard watched as the fallen Necrokeep troops rose again.

“I don't know.”

Faramis answer made Alucard frown slightly.

“How can you not know? Then how do you explain the rise of all of Necrokeep's previous troops with your magic?”

“Undead in Necrokeep is different from the Undead you know. The moment the Queen released the mist of despair, it left the bodies of all the people of Necrokeep dead yet their souls still remained within the body and continued to be eroded by the mist of despair!..

All those who are exposed to the fog of despair will not be able to get out of here. But I who was not in the Kingdom was saved from the fog of despair until I became Necrokeep's only hope to save all the people!..

I tried various kinds of potions to heal souls but none of them could last long. The longer, the more Necrokeep people whose souls were depleted were eroded and ended up becoming completely Undead!..

Until I finally found out the only way was to use the Twilight Orb. That Twillight Orb possessed such a powerful life energy that it could heal a wounded soul!..

Moreover, life energy can revive our body and we can come back to life!..

Alucard silently did not reply, he stared at the Twillight Orb in his hand for a moment then inserted it into his dimension pocket.

“But you can use it to heal wounds or remove toxins. Although it cannot turn on but can cure.”

“Ya,” Alucard nodded slowly.

“Then let's go to Necrokeep Palace, Her Majesty the Queen invites you to come to thank and give a banquet for you.”

“No need, just give me the rewards you promised and I will go straight from here.”

“You're still exhausted, haven't fully recovered after the fight. If you do not want to be given a banquet, at least enter first, you can recuperate calmly in the Palace.”

Faramis continued to persuade Alucard, and the young man finally complied with Faramis' wishes.

Faramis led Alucard into the fortress to the Necrokeep Palace.

Since Vexana was busy working on some things after the war, Alucard also wanted to recover first, so Faramis took the young man to a quiet and comfortable room.

“This is the 10 best herbs I have, 7 of which are herbs that can increase Mana capacity and strengthen the body as well as purify mana. While the remaining 3 were healing herbs, poison neutralizers and Mana recovery potions!..

Although I know you don't need those three because it has a Twilight Orb but I don't have any better potion than this. Maybe you can give it to your friend if you don't need it.”

“Alright, I'll accept everything,” Alucard take all those potions.

“Then you can recuperate calmly in this room, I will go out to meet Her Majesty the Queen,” Faramis bowed respectfully then walked out of the room.

Alucard took out the Twillight Orb then absorbed the life energy within it. He could feel his body becoming very fresh and cool, his fatigue felt disappearing quickly and the wounds he had no longer hurt.

“This is amazing,” Alucard feels like sleeping because his body feels very comfortable.
