Ch.20 - Offer

After drinking the potion given by Faramis, Alucard could feel his strength increasing a lot. Starting from his body that is getting stronger and more Mana capacity and Mana getting purer.

“Truly amazing, being able to make potions like this, I'm sure Faramis is the greatest Alchemist in the entire Land Of Dawn.”

Alucard suddenly remembered Silvana. He had previously left the party without meeting the girl first.

He intended to apologize and give the girl a gift but he was confused as to what the gift was. Now Alucard knows what he'll give Silvana.

He'll give Elixir to her.

Alucard got out of bed, stretched his body for a few minutes before exiting the room.

When Alucard opened the door, there was already Faramis waiting for him.

“Oh turns out you're done recuperating. I can also feel your aura getting stronger.”

“Ya,” Alucard just replied briefly, “I no longer have any business here, so I will go directly.”

“At least meet Her Majesty the Queen first. He wants to meet the hero who saved Necrokeep.”

Alucard could only sigh softly. He knew Faramis would have continued to persuade him if he refused and it would have been very troublesome. So Alucard decided to meet with Queen Necrokeep for a while before leaving.

“Show the way.”

Faramis smiled then carried Alucard towards the Main Hall of Necrokeep Palace.

When opening the door of the Main Hall, Alucard saw a red carpet that stretched from the door to the Queen's oversized chair that was several steps from the floor. Dozens of kstaria including Leomord lined up neatly next to the carpet with the Queen Vexana sitting on her seat of greatness.

Alucard certainly knows ethics when meeting high status people but he is reluctant to do so. It was very troublesome for him so he just walked beside Faramis then slightly bowed to say hello.

In contrast to Faramis who immediately knelt one leg respectfully in front of the Queen.

“Your Majesty the Queen, I have brought Alucard.”

Vexana nodded softly with a friendly smile, “stands Faramis.”

Faramis stood up but still slightly lowered her head, not looking directly at Vexana's face.

“So are there any more problems until I get called here?” Alucard spoke as if he were not in the presence of a Queen.

“Lamcang once! At least pay respect to our Queen!”

One of the knights certainly did not accept the behavior of Alucard who he thought was not polite.

“He is a guest as well as a hero of Necrokeep, let him act if it is not excessive and does not harm anyone!”

“Mohin sorry Your Highness,” The knight immediately apologized.

Vexana stood up and walked down the stairs until she was in front of Alucard.

“Alucard the brave knight of Moniyan Empire, I as Queen represent all my people thank you for your help, otherwise Necrokeep would have been destroyed,” Vexana bowing to Alucard leaves the knights not knowing what to do.

“Tidal needs to bend, besides I help too because I get the advantage, not because I want to willingly help.”

“But it does not change the fact that you have saved us, made us able to live again like normal humans as before and brought us out of the agony of the mist of despair.”

Vexana is indeed very beautiful, her smile is charming, Alucard admitted it. But unfortunately he had never thought about the special relationship between men and women, he only cared about how he would slaughter the demons in this world.

“So now can I go home?”

“Hm.. Actually I have an offer for you.”

“What?”

“Are you interested in becoming King at Necrokeep?”

Vexana's words made Faramis and all the knights in the room shocked.

Become King? Doesn't that mean the young man should marry their Queen? It's too sudden.

“I'm not interested in something as troublesome as that. Being king does give high status but many troublesome things to do.” Alucard refused.

“Alright if it's your decision, I won't force it. If you want to go then I will take you all the way outside the fort.”

“Then I left,” Alucard turned around and walked away with Vexana beside him.

Faramis and the Vexana's protective knights intend to follow but Vexana immediately signals no need for escort.

They were also silent at the spot to see the departure of their Queen with a young man.

“Did the Queen really already fall in love with the young man?” said one of Kstaria.

“Is that possible? The Queen should have just met and spoken directly to Alucard,”, Leomord said.

“Love is very mysterious, Leomord.” Faramis patted Leomord on the shoulder, “it could come without you noticing.”
