Ch.21 - Meet Silvana
After his affairs were completed at Necrokeep, Alucard immediately returned to Moniyan Empire.
Upon arrival at the Demon Hunt Union, Alucard hands over the proof of completion of the mission to Gista and Giska. He did not tell about his discovery in the Lantis Mountains and the events in Necrokeep.
“This time you run a mission long enough Mr. Alucard. Did you find any problems fighting the demons?” Gista asked as he examined the demon body parts that Alucard had handed over.
“Nothing,” Alucard answered briefly and Gista did not ask further because he knew what Alucard's nature was like.
Gista and Giska finished checking and rewarded Alucard for his mission. As usual Alucard immediately ordered a meal and a drink after he went to the room to rest.
The next day, Alucard went to the Moniyan Empire Palace. He wanted to see Silvana to apologize and give her the potion he got from Faramis.
Alucard arrived in front of the gates of the Moniyan Empire Palace which was guarded by two soldiers with full armor.
“Stop. Outsiders without necessities are not allowed in.”
The two soldiers straightened the road.
“I am a Legend-level demon hunter,” Alucard pulled out a badge which is proof that he is a Legend-level demon hunter.
One of the soldiers took the badge and checked it. After confirming its authenticity, he handed it back.
“So it turns out you are Mr Alucard, what is the need in Moniyan Empire Palace?”
The two soldiers became more polite after learning of Alucard's identity.
“I want to meet Princess Silvana.”
“Do you already have previous appointment with Her Highness Princess?”
“No.”
“Then forgive us Mr. Alucard, we cannot let you in. This is our duty, please understand.”
“Hah... I guess this won't be easy,” Alucard muttered inwardly.
“Then can't you help me tell Princess Silvana that I've come to see her? If he refuses then I will go straight away.”
The two soldiers looked at each other then nodded simultaneously.
“If only that didn't matter. So please wait a minute, I go first.”
One of the slightly bowed soldiers then rushed off running Alucard's request to notify Silvana.
Alucard waited for almost half an hour in front of the gate of Moniyan Empire Palace, and the soldier returned with a girl walking in front of him. That girl was none other than Silvana.
Silvana came with an expression of judes staring at Alucard. It seems like he was still upset that Alucard had left his birthday party without meeting him first.
“Good morning Princess,” Alucard salutes Silvana.
“No need to say much, just tell me what purpose are you looking for me?”
Alucard stared at Silvana's annoyed expression before replying.
“I..”
“What?”
“If the Princess does not like my presence here, then I will leave,” Alucard immediately turned around.
“Wait wait! Where do you want to go? Do I allow you to go!” Silvana quickly held onto the back of Alucard's shirt, restraining the young man from leaving.
“But earlier..”.
“I didn't tell you to go!”
“Then..”
“Stay here!”
“I..”
“You should stay here!”
“At least let me finish talking!” Alucard said in a high tone making not only Silvana surprised but also the two gate guard soldiers.
This was only the first time they had seen anyone who dared to shout in front of Silvana. Even the supreme general of Moniyan Empire would speak carefully before Silvana.
Yet this young man.he was a demon hunter but dared to behave like that?
“You! Dare to shout in front of the Princess!”
“Even if you're a Legend-level demon hunter, we won't let you!”
The two soldiers instantly brandished their weapons. What Alucard does is legal.
“Wait! Stop it, get back to where you are!” Silvana immediately regained his senses and stopped the soldiers.
Silvana only realized that her image as the princess had just disappeared. He was not angry Alucard shouted because he realized it was his fault.
“But Princess, this guy..”.
“You dare to refuse the order?”
“K-we dare not, Mr. Princess.”
The two guards instantly returned to their positions as gatekeepers.
“Alucard, follow me!” Silvana walked into the gate, followed by Alucard.
Silvana took Alucard to a small park nearest to the gazebo in the middle.
After they sat there, then Silvana again put on the expression of judes.
“So why did you meet me?”
“I want to apologize about the previous incident when I left during your birthday party.”
“Just apologize? You didn't bring anything?”
“You are a Princess, what kind of stuff you can't get until you have to ask for something from a commoner like me.”
“At least I want to ask for the rights to my birthday gift,” Silvana stared intently at Alucard.
