CHAPTER 02 Melody of the Heart

The next day, Nadira meets Moona at school. She tells Moona about her frustration and fear. Moona listened attentively, giving her the support and advice she needed.

"Nadira, you should talk to your mother," said Moona, "You should tell her about your feelings and your expectations."

"I just need to get used to it, my mom is a famous pianist then how is it possible if I don't follow in my mother's footsteps" Nadira replied.

Nadira was doubtful. She was afraid that her mother would not understand or accept her feelings. However, he also knew that he could not continue living in his mother's shadow.

"If only I had enough courage to say that, I would at least have to express my heart to my mother even how she thought after hearing this".

"As long as you're fine, don't push yourself" said Moona, "Be yourself, because you shine the most when you're yourself" Moona's words managed to take and touch Nadira's heart.

The following week, Nadira decided to take a bold step. She asks her mother to sit down and talk, and she expresses her feelings and desire to pursue her own interests.

"Mom...I can't play the piano like mom and I don't like playing the piano either, can I stop doing all this" Nadira said with her head lowered, "I'm going to look for my own dreams and my mom always demands that I play the piano and be a pianist like you do". Nadira's voice sounded a little shaky. However, for the sake of straightening this mistake he had to take a bold step.

His mother was surprised at first and did not know how to respond. However, after a while, Nadira's mother tried to understand the circumstances of Nadira also who felt depressed by him.

With her mother's confession and apology, Nadira was relieved. She felt as if a huge burden had been lifted off her shoulders, and she felt freer to pursue her own dreams and interests.

"Is it okay, what would everyone say if Evelyn's trophy-winning son didn't pass on her mother-like talents?" Nadira asked softly to see the mother.

His mother seemed surprised because Nadira asked like that, all this time Evelyn thought that Nadira, her son was a girl who likes to learn the piano and lazy. But he only realized how much Nadira thought about the outside talk about his family.

Nadira's mother breathed a long sigh and said, "Mother didn't know that you were also thinking so much about what outsiders were saying about our family, now you can stop playing the piano and find your own dreams" Evelyn looked at her child affectionately and continued saying, "Mom won't force you anymore".

"Thank you mom, I know you're the best mom in the world". Nadira hugged his mother happy because regardless of the shadow of the mother's trophy.

Nadira decided to continue learning piano, but she also decided to pursue her interest in painting. He joined a painting club at his school and began making his own paintings.

Nadira and Moona become closer, and they often spend time together outside of school. They share their dreams, hopes, and fears, and they support each other in pursuing their goals.
