CHAPTER 27 Family dinner

One afternoon, Nadira's mother sits in the living room, tracing an old family photo album. She smiles as she looks at the childhood photos of Nadira and Andra, feeling warm and happy recalling those fond memories.

However, when he saw the little photos of his sons and daughters, he felt sad and full of regret. He knew that he had kept a big secret from them, and he felt this was the right time to reveal it.

"I think it's the right time to uncover the truth and tell them both" he murmured, feeling heavy but relieved.

He picks up his cell phone and contacts Nadira, inviting him and Andra to have dinner together at his house. "Hi, Nad," he said in a soft voice, "I want us to have dinner together tonight. There's something I want to talk to you both about."

Nadira was curious and excited, "Alright, Mom. But, what do you want to talk about?"

Nadira's mother smiled gently across the phone, "We'll talk over dinner, Nad. See you tonight."

Nadira agrees and hangs up the phone, feeling curious but looking forward to family dinner at their home.

The next day, Nadira decided to visit Andra's cafe. She wants to tell Andra about the dinner invitation from their mother and sees Andra's reaction.

As she entered the cafe, she could see Andra was busy serving customers. She smiled seeing Andra working with passion and dedication.

"Andra!" nadira exclaimed, attracting the attention of Andra.

Andra turned her head and smiled when she saw Nadira. "Hi, Nad! Can I help you?" tanyanya, welcome Nadira warmly.

Nadira smiled and sat down at one of the tables. "Actually, Brother, Mom called me yesterday. He invited us to dinner together at his house tonight" Nadira explained, waiting for Andra's reaction.

Andra looked surprised for a moment, but immediately smiled. "Well, thank you for telling me, Nad. I'll come" he said, happy to spend time with his family.

While they were talking, some customers in the cafe started gossiping about these sisters. "Look at the two of them, so friendly and romantic" whispered one of the customers. "Are they really siblings?" ask other customers with curiosity.

Although Nadira and Andra are unaware of the rumors, they remain focused on their conversation and look forward to having dinner together later tonight.

That night, Nadira and Andra arrive at their mother's house, feeling excited and curious about what their mother will talk about. The house looked warm and cozy, and the smell of delicious food greeted them as they entered the house.

Their mother came out of the kitchen, smiling widely. "Welcome, my children. Come on, dinner's ready" he said, taking them to the dinner table.

They sat at the dinner table, enjoying the delicious food their mother prepared. They talk and laugh, enjoy time together as a family. They share stories about their work, hobbies, and fond memories from their childhood. They feel warm and happy, feel close to each other.

After dinner, their mother looked serious. "Kids, there's something I need to talk to the two of you about" she said, her voice filled with anxiety and hope.

Nadira and Andra were tense, waiting for their mother to speak. They don't know what their mother is going to talk about, but they do know that this is important.

Their mother took a deep breath, then started talking. "Kids, all this time I've been keeping a big secret from you two. I felt like this was the right time to express it," she said, her voice trembling.

Nadira and Andra looked at each other, feeling anxious and curious. They never expected that their mother had such a big secret hidden from them.

Their mother continued, "This secret is about the blood relationship between the two of you. Andra, you're not my real son. Your father and I adopted you when you were a baby, and we raised you as our own son."

They were both shocked to hear this revelation. Andra was confused and in disbelief, while Nadira felt sorry for her brother.

Their mother continued, "Nadira, you are our only real child. That's why I really want you to master the piano instrument. I want you to inherit the musical talent that's in our family."

Nadira and Andra were still shocked, trying to digest this new information. They felt confused, angry, and sad, but they also felt relieved that this secret was finally revealed.

After a while, Andra spoke. "Thank you, Mother, for revealing this to us. I. I need time to think about it," she said, her voice soft and slightly trembling.

Nadira nodded, agreeing with Andra. "I also need time to think about all this, Mother. But, thank you for being honest with us."

Their mother smiled sadly, relieved that her children could accept her revelation. "I love you both, my children, no matter what blood flows in your body. I just want you to know the truth" he said, his eyes glazed over.

They embrace, feel warm and comfortable with each other, despite the pain and confusion they feel. They know that this will be a fresh start for them as a family, and they hope that they can get through this difficult time together.
