One night, lightning struck so hard that it made the apartment window shake. It was raining heavily, and the sound of lightning sounded extremely loud. Nadira, who had always been afraid of the sound of lightning, felt extremely agitated. He tried to calm himself, but it was difficult.
Eventually, she decides to go to Andra's room, hoping to feel safer with her brother. Nadira walks towards Andra's room, her heart skipping a beat every time lightning strikes.
He knocked on the door twice, but there was no answer. Nadira stared at the door with a passcode, thinking hard. She remembers that Andra once told her that her passcode was a combination of the dates of their birthdays.
With a pounding heart, Nadira pressed the number of Andra's birthday, then his birthday. With a beep, the door opened, revealing Andra who was sleeping soundly on her bed.
Nadira felt relieved and immediately ran to Andra's bed. She hugged Andra, feeling scared but also safe. His embrace made Andra wake up, and she opened her eyes slightly, looking at Nadira who was hugging him tightly.
Andra looked a little surprised, but she immediately smiled widely. She hugged Nadira back, feeling happy to be a safe place for her sister. "Calm down, Nad," whispered Andra, "I'm here."
That morning, Nadira woke up feeling full and warm. He opened his eyes slowly, trying to remember what happened last night. He remembers lightning, fear, and a hug with Andra. And now, she woke up in Andra's room, feeling confused and a little awkward.
Nadira turned her head and saw Andra still sleeping next to her. She saw Andra bare-chested, and she immediately covered her face with a blanket, feeling embarrassed and surprised. "Oh, God," whispered Nadira, "What happened last night?"
Nadira was relieved to hear Andra's words, but she still felt ashamed. He tries to get up from the bed, but Andra pulls him back. "Not to be ashamed, Nad," said Andra, "We are brothers."
Nadira nodded, feeling calmer. He lay back on the bed, looked up at the ceiling and thought about what had happened. Although she felt embarrassed, she also felt warm and safe with Andra.
After the incident that night, something changed in Nadira's heart. She felt a thump whenever she was near Andra, and she felt a shy blush whenever Andra smiled at her. She felt confused and scared, because she knew this feeling she should not have felt to her own brother.
Nadira tries to dismiss that feeling, trying to convince himself that this is just the effect of the events of the night. But the more he tried to brush it off, the stronger the feeling arose.
One day, while he was at Andra's cafe, he saw Andra serving customers with a big smile. Seeing that smile, Nadira's heart skipped a beat, and she felt warm on her cheeks. She felt confused and scared, but she could not deny that she liked Andra.
Nadira was very confused and scared. She knew that her feelings were wrong, that she shouldn't feel this way towards her own brother. But he could not deny what he felt.
He decided to keep those feelings to himself, hoping that someday those feelings would disappear. But for now, he had to deal with this confusing and frightening feeling.
