The Pawned Wife

The Pawned Wife
Chapter 26 > Audrey Ketar-ketir

Audrey Rooms ....

Audrey is getting ready for bed. He had even turned off the headlights and replaced them with sleeping lights. However, just as he closed his eyes he suddenly came back to hear the sound of knocking on the door.

In a fit of annoyance, Audrey opened her eyes again and turned on the lights. "Good God, who else comes in these nights. It always bothered me, "Audrey grumbled as she kept moving away from me and walked over to open the door.

As the door opened, Audrey furrowed both of her eyebrows. He saw no one outside his room. Out of curiosity, Audrey took a few steps forward and swerved back and forth looking for the person who had knocked on the door of her room. However, the pawnshop woman did not see a single person around her room.

Audrey was about to enter the room again but, before closing the door she accidentally noticed there was a glass of milk and a letter on the front floor of her room. Audrey crouched down and took a glass of milk along with the letter. Who keeps the milk? All that was not important, the most important thing was that Audrey still brought the milk into her room.

Audrey sat on the edge of the bed and put the milk on the nightstand. He did not drink the milk directly, but was curious about the contents of the letter. Without lingering, Audrey read the letter.

{I make a glass of warm milk for you, hopefully after drinking this milk you can sleep well. Good night and sweet dream my wife :)}.

After reading the letter, Audrey gave a small smile. His face immediately shone with embarrassment. "My wife? Haha how could she call me that when I was still someone else's wife" Audrey chuckled after reading the letter.

Audrey kept the letter in a drawer and immediately drank the warm milk until it ran out. After that, he tried to sleep. But after a few minutes, Audrey did not feel sleepy at all.

Because she was not sleepy, Audrey decided to get out of the room with a glass of milk. Audrey walked down the stairs to the kitchen. He intended to wash the glass and clean it a little to make it sleepy.

Arriving at the kitchen, Audrey's steps suddenly stopped. His body pecked with a gaze that pointed at the sink. He saw someone washing the dishes. However, that person was not the servants but rather a dashing man in his sleeping pajamas.

After a few seconds of sculpting, Audrey slowly stepped her feet closer to the man. "Ekhem, what are you doing here? Let me just do it," Audrey bargained with a slight thud.

Prangs!

How shocked was Audrey to drop the glass in her hand when the man who was washing the dishes turned his back. "**-master?" call Audrey in shock.

It turned out that the man who was washing the dishes was none other than Akandra Xaquille. "You haven't slept, miss. Why come to the kitchen? Do you need anything?" Akandra washed her hands and looked at Audrey.

"I'm sorry, sir. I'll clean this up." Audrey was about to go get a broom and a pengki. However, Akandra's burly hand pulled Audrey's arm.

"Shut up there! You'll get hurt, let me." Akandra who in the end took the broom and the pengki.

And sure enough, Akandra cleaned all the broken glass. After that he threw it in the trash. Meanwhile, Audrey could only fall silent while dumbfounded at seeing the other side of an Akandra.

'Is this really what I see, Mr Akandra? But, why did he do all this work when he already had many servants?' inner Audrey wondered about the other side of this Akandra she saw.

Nah!

Akandra flicked her finger in front of Audrey. Audrey also regained consciousness from her monologue. "Eh .. yes, sir."

"Why bengong? Are your legs hurt? Let me see." Akandra knelt before Audrey and immediately checked Audrey's feet.

"Eh, Sir. Don't be like this, my legs aren't hurt. Don't humble yourself like this, wake up." Audrey extended her right hand.

Brugh!

Without Audrey expecting it, Akandra pulled Audrey's arm until her body jolted towards her and fell over her burly body. Instantly Audrey's two eyes immediately fiddled. Unlike Akandra, she was even engrossed in staring at Audrey.

"What's? How ridiculous!" Audrey stood up. "Wake up, before anyone sees you here." Audrey extended her hand.

"What if someone sees me here? This is my home, I am free to go anywhere including going to the secret room in this house." Akandra held Audrey's hand and immediately stood up.

"Secret room?"

"Yes, do you want to go there with me?" Akandra raised his eyebrows.

"Abviously it is possible if a stranger enters the secret room? What if someone protests?" audrey asked with an anxious face.

"Who dares to protest against me? Again, I say this is my home. I'm free to take anyone to every room in this house including you, Miss." Akandra smiled with charm.

"Looks like you forgot that I'm just your pawn lady. I'm just a foreign woman here,"

"Miss woman? But, I never thought of you as a pawnshop. Ever since you entered this house, it's a sign that you've been mine. Your husband has lost you since he delivered you to me. And you know what, Miss? Whatever is already mine I never let go that easy, including that Miss herself. Wait, in a few weeks you will be mine! You'll see what Devanka looks like" Akandra explained with a serious face.

Hearing that, Audrey simply fell silent. He did not answer his master's words. 'This guy, I don't think why he wants me so much? Is it because my face looks like Alessa?' inner Audrey again wondered as she looked at Akandra.

"Forgot that, come with me!" Akandra pulls Audrey's arm and takes her to one of the elevators in her house.

Audrey just followed him without protest. "Sir, why not just go up the manual stairs? Why do I have to take the elevator?"

"Do you want to walk up to the 20th floor?" instead of answering, Akandra asked back.

"Floor 20?" Audrey's two eyes immediately widened as if they were about to get out of place.

"Yes, you want to go up the stairs that far, heum?" Akandra raised his eyebrows.

Audrey quickly shook her head. "No, Mister. Oh yeah, if you'll know, how many floors are there in this house?" audrey asked with a curious mimic.

"27 floors. Already, don't ask that. Ask me something that makes me happy" Akandra said without turning his head.

"What should I ask, sir? I don't know what makes you happy, sir,"

"You want to know, Miss?" Akandra looked beside Audrey.

Audrey assented. "The thing that makes me happy is your confession of love!"

Audrey's heart was pounding uncontrollably. He doesn't know what to answer. It was obvious that Audrey was misbehaving her master's words. Seeing this, Akandra approached Audrey and supported her with both arms.

"Why is your master?" ask Audrey who's been getting ragged.

Akandra did not answer, he just smiled a little while continuing to bring his lips closer to Audrey's. Audrey's heart was pounding. He was confused about what to do, because he could not go anywhere. Now the woman is in the corner of the elevator.
