Chapter 38 > Double A Bickering

Akandra's heart immediately beat fast. Her heart trembled at the sentence Audrey blurted out. The words he had always been waiting for.

Akandra let go of her embrace and looked at the two Audrey beads with a warm gaze. Then her burly hand grabbed Audrey's hand and brought her in. Meanwhile, Daniel remains silent at the unit's doorstep.

Audrey continued to look towards her hand that was being held. Her lips smiled, she had never been held this warm by a man, not even Devanka. It can be said that Audrey is indeed a woman and ex-wife who lacks affection.

That's what makes Audrey touched when getting warm treatment from Akandra. Without him noticing, that happy smile turned into teardrops. He lowered his head, so that Akandra would not know.

"Sit down, I want to ask you something." Akandra tells Audrey to sit on her long sofa.

Without saying anything, Audrey immediately sat down. Followed by Akandra who sat next to him. When Akandra looked directly at Audrey's face, he saw tears dripping from her bead.

"What makes you cry? Is my grip so tight that your hand hurts?" akandra asked as she checked Audrey's hand she held.

Audrey raised her face and looked fixedly at Akandra. "No, Brother. I cry because I am moved. I'm lucky because I'm surrounded by good people like Big Brother" Audrey replied with teary eyes.

"MasyaAllah .. is that true? So, about what you said just now-"

"Yes, Brother. I accepted you. From now on I will try to open my heart to you. I'll treat you the same way Big Brother treats me with all of Big Brother's sincerity. However, I have not been able to get married or get engaged because I am still in the iddah period" Audrey said.

"Thank God, I'm glad to hear that. This is what I've been waiting for all this time. Don't worry, I will be faithfully waiting for you. Hearing this honesty of yours alone has made me very happy."

"Thank you for understanding me, brother. If Big Brother pleases, can I find out the story of Brother's past? So that I can get to know Brother even further," Audrey said with full of tenderness and accompanied by a warm gaze.

"Yes, my parents are dead. I am an orphan, just like you. However, I still have Affandra as well as Grandpa Abirama" Akandra replied with a soft eye.

"I'm sorry, brother. I didn't mean to hurt your heart like this." Audrey touched Akandra's hands with a bad feeling.

"It's okay, honey. You deserve to know everything about me." Akandra replies to Audrey's hand by stroking Audrey's cheek.

"Sister, if I may .. I want to know my sister's love story" Audrey said.

"Love story?" Akandra scrunched her forehead.

"Yes, Brother." Audrey nodded her head.

'Should I be honest about my love story with Alessa? Should I be honest if the cause of Alessa's death was myself?' inner Akandra wondered.

Akandra's waking up from his monologue. "All right, I'll tell you. But, before that you have to promise first."

"Promise? What promise?" Audrey knitted her two eyebrows.

"Promise, if you will not leave me no matter what happens or whatever you are with from my story. Because it's about your sister." Akandra thrusts his little finger.

"All right, then I promise. Whatever I hear and whatever happens, I will never leave you. I promise I'll always be with you." Audrey smiling.

"I actually broke off my engagement to Alessa after I discovered she was having an affair with another man. And at that moment, an accident happened that killed Alessa and it was me. After hearing this honesty of mine, will you stay with me?"

"Kill Alessa? Wh-what do you mean?" ask Audrey.

"I accidentally shot him back then."

"What's? Brother shot Alessa?" Audrey was surprised not to play.

Both of his eyes were perfectly wide. She did not suspect if the cause of her sister's death was the man who would become her future husband. Audrey confirmed her sitting position. He looked a little away from Akandra.

"I didn't mean it, Audrey. I don't know if the shot will hit Alessa. If only I knew if Alessa would risk her life for her affair, I wouldn't have fired that shot. She would rather die for that man than marry me" Akandra explained, continuing to approach Audrey.

"Why did you take away my sister's life? Is there no other way to vent your anger? Should it take his life? Where is your conscience, Akandra? Big sister has separated me from Alessa." Audrey immediately cried knowing that fact.

"I'm sorry, Audrey. By Allah SWT, I have no intention of doing that. It just happened. I have sinned, forgive me. Trust me, I don't intend to take his life." Akandra immediately rested at Audrey's feet as Audrey stood up and was about to leave.

"Don't mention Allah SWT just to hide your evil, Brother! Really, I didn't expect that the man who had just melted my heart in an instant had already made me doubt!" audrey was firmly accompanied by tears that kept coming out of her two eyes.

"Trust Audrey, I didn't do that on purpose. If you want, you can punish me. But, I beg you to forgive me." For the first time Akandra rested at the feet of a woman and asked for her forgiveness.

"Don't apologize to me, brother. Apologize to Alessa and also ask forgiveness to Allah SWT. I'm really disappointed in you, brother." Audrey kept crying feeling the pain in her heart.

How not, in an instant his heart was broken with a fact about the death of his sister. It had only been a few hours that she felt the beauty of falling in love, but it had been broken back. Audrey turned her body and walked towards the room.

Seeing that, Akandra got up and held Audrey's hand. "I'm sorry, Audrey. I'm willing to do whatever it takes to forgive me. Really, I'm sorry for that." Akandra still continues to explain to Audrey.

"Let me alone, brother. I don't know what to treat you like. Understand, this is very difficult for me," explained Audrey without looking back.

Hearing that, Akandra would not let go of his hand grip and let Audrey alone. 'Had I not told you the truth, Audrey would not have been this disappointed. Am I destined to never succeed in a relationship? Is this a punishment for me?' Akandra regrets what happened.
