CHAPTERS 80. Disappeared

Since meeting at an Italian Restaurant, William has never sought out Emma and the members of the Watson Family again.

William focused on working in the office and often overtime. William wants to prove to shareholders that he still deserves the position of CEO of Pattinson Company.

William spent a week thinking and making decisions for his future.

William tells Hans that he is willing to be transferred to one of the company's branches in Singapore for one year.

Hans was very pleased with William's decision. Hans hopes that during this one year William can let go of his excessive obsession with Emma and look for a suitable life partner.

Jimmy is still living in Bali. Chris' cousin hired some bodyguards to protect him. Jimmy was waiting for the right time to execute the second plan.

Time passes quickly. Without feeling the day of departure William to Singapore is only two days away.

It just so happens that tonight the Watson Company's birthday celebration is in the ballroom of a five-star hotel and invites many business associates from other companies.

Of course Pattinson Company gets an invitation. William asks Hans for permission to attend the Watson Company's birthday celebration.

Initially Hans balked at William's request, but William vowed not to mess up the event so Hans granted it with misgivings.

Hans took two bodyguards with him to prevent the possibility of bad things happening if William could not control himself.

The Watson Company's Birthday Celebration officially began when the hotel's ballroom was filled with invited guests.

Chris and Emma wore matching white suits and dresses. Owen also wears a white coat combined with a bow tie.

The first dance in the ballroom was performed by Chris and Emma. The pair of lovebirds danced beautifully to the music. A smile on Emma's lips without stopping.

While in one corner of the room, William stared at Emma unblinkingly. William admitted in his little heart that Emma now looked more cheerful, beautiful, and happy.

Emma's pair of eyes focused only on Chris proves the young woman loves her husband.

Emma and Chris' intimacy makes William's heart even more hurt. Even the wine glass in his hand was tightly grasped.

William's movements are clearly seen by Rocky, who has been watching William since the man was in the ballroom. However, Rocky has not taken any action as Hans looks more alert and watches over William closely.

Two of Hans' bodyguards are on standby on William's left and right sides to prevent William from messing up tonight's show.

Chris takes Emma to their original seat after the dance is over.

"Emma! You must be hungry. I'll get you some food.Wait here, yeah," said Chris.

"okay!" emma replied with a smile.

Chris looks at Rocky first and signals Rocky to look after Emma, before heading to the buffet table to pick up food.

Emma looked around. Dylan and Tom were having a conversation with a business partner, while Liam was having a conversation with Jack.

"Since when has Liam been close to Jack?" inner Emma.

Emma felt astonished that the quiet Liam could chat with the cold Jack. Usually Liam will only talk at length about matters related to his work as a doctor.

Tonight Alana didn't come because she was sick. Tom asks Chris to invite Jack in person so Jack comes in for a while, then goes home to see Alana.

"Maybe Jack asked about Alana," Emma's inner self.

Emma knew Alana was being treated at a Medical Health hospital, but Alana forbade her from visiting. Emma respects Alana's privacy and sends only fruit baskets and wishes to the hospital.

"Something seems lacking!" emma's inner self while spreading her gaze around again.

"Dome!"

Emma turned to the source of the voice calling her name. William stood up and looked at Emma with a smile.

"What's CEO William doing?" ask Emma in a flat tone.

Tonight many business associates from other companies were in attendance, including reporters of Sunshine magazine and Kiss magazine. Emma doesn't want her to make big news on the internet or in magazines tomorrow morning.

Therefore, Emma answered William's greeting in a flat tone, as if talking to a stranger.

"The next day I moved to Singapore for a year" replied William.

Emma was silent without giving any reaction. The results of this internal meeting decision have been known by Emma some time ago. Emma didn't understand why William said it again.

"I hope you can be happy!" continued William.

"of course! I'm so happy with Chris!" emma replied spontaneously.

"If you're divorced for another year, are you willing to be with me again?" The words that had been at the end of William's mouth were unspoken as Emma's gaze was diverted in the other direction.

A wide smile decorated the corner of Emma's lips when she saw Chris coming to bring her a dinner plate.

Chris sat down next to Emma and gave a fork to Emma's hand. "Eat, honey!" said Chris.

Emma nodded her head and tasted the spaghetti on her plate. Chris smiled slightly and stared intensely at Emma eating her food. Sometimes Chris wiped the corner of Emma's lips that were exposed to spaghetti sauce.

The pair of lovebirds interacted with each other and forgot William who was still standing there.

William turned his body and walked towards where Hans was in a doldrums. Now William realized he had lost completely.

Emma and Chris are very close. Even it seems clear Emma is very dependent on Chris so the possibility of them getting divorced is very minimal.

Hans breathed a sigh of relief seeing William manage to control his anger and keep his promise. William asked permission to speak with Emma.

"Father! Let's go back to the mansion!" said William.

"All right" replied Hans.

"Emma! Will it bother you again?" ask Tom.

Emma chuckled at the worried faces of Tom and Dylan.

"No, Pa!" answer Emma.

"What did he say?" ask Dylan.

"She said she wanted to move to Singapore one year" Emma replied.

"Really, Rocky?" ask Tom and Dylan at the same time.

"Yes!" answer Rocky with certainty.

"So Wil just left" Tom murmured.

Tom thought William would go crazy as usual. Dylan was as thoughtful as Tom so the two of them immediately approached Emma.

"He knows he has lost" Chris said in a flat tone.

As a fellow man, Chris could read the expression of deep disappointment on William's face earlier.

"Good! Watch out that he still dares to bother Emma again!" said Tom.

"Father! Brother Dylan! Let's eat together!" take Emma.

Emma knows Tom and Dylan haven't eaten since the show started.

Tom and Dylan head to the buffet table to get some food. Emma continued to eat her spaghetti.

Moments later, Tom and Dylan joined in and tasted the food on their plates.

"Father! Brother Dylan! Where is Owen?" ask Emma.

While Emma and Chris were dancing first, Owen was still at Tom's side. However, Owen is now nowhere to be seen around Tom or Dylan.

"Owen!" Dylan and Tom looked around.

"Maybe Owen's in the toilet! I'm looking there!" chris said as he stood up from the chair and walked quickly to the toilet.

Tom and Dylan ate with an uneasy feeling. And so does Emma. The remaining spaghetti three mouthfuls were not spent by him.

Ten minutes passed and Chris still did not return so Emma followed Rocky to the toilet.

Rocky goes into the boys' toilet and checks every toilet room carefully. There was neither Chris nor Owen there.

Emma called Chris's phone immediately. Bad premonitions haunt Emma's mind at this time.

"Dome!" call Chris when you get a phone call.

"Where are you Chris? Owen met?" asked Emma with a trembling voice.

"I'm in the hotel's cctv room. You wait for me in the ballroom, yes" said Chris in a soft voice.

"All right" replied Emma.

Emma walked into the hotel ballroom and sat down at the place she was. Emma realized Tom's face was very tense, while Dylan was not there. Even Liam and Jack disappeared from the ballroom.

"Father!" call Emma with teary eyes.

"Silence Emma! We wait for them!" tom said as he patted Emma's back gently.

Emma nodded her head slowly. His tongue was too faint to say what was implied in his mind at this moment. Emma just hoped her conjecture was totally wrong.

Fifteen minutes passed and it felt like a long time. Chris, Dylan, Liam, and Jack approach the table where Emma and Tom are.

Chris clasped Emma's hand. Chris' heart ached because Emma's hands were so cold. Chris was sure Emma was worried and frightened at this moment.

"Honey! You and papa go back to the mansion, yes," said Chris.

"Going home? Ye? You and Owen?" ask Emma.

Although Emma's question is unclear, Chris understands her point.

"Silence, Emma! Jack and I will definitely find Owen" Chris promised.

Emma hugged Chris tightly. "Chris! You have to find Owen!" emma said in a hoarse voice.

"Surely, Emma! You wait for the good news in the mansion," Chris replied as he patted Emma's back gently.

Emma let go of her embrace quickly. Emma knows Chris's top priority now is to find Owen as soon as possible.

"Father! Let's go home!" said Emma.

"Liam and I have reached out to reinforcements to find Owen" Dylan said.
