"What are you doing?" kenzo asked his Boss who looked more and more like the undead.
A year after his wife died, Boss Kenzo seemed to shut himself up in a long mourning. Don't meet other people and just spend time in the apartment.
"What do you want?"
"I'm going back to Indonesia. My father is sick"
"When are you back?"
"I'm not going back"
This time his Boss paid a little attention by glancing at him.
"Go away" said his Boss weakly.
Kenzo approached and saw the man who was once so handsome and dignified looking had turned like a beggar. Hair, mustache and long beard, and clothes that always smell bad because of alcohol. It was so sad to see what love had done for his Boss.
"I'm leaving. All your asset ownership papers are on the table"
Kenzo turned around and almost walked out of his Boss' room when he briefly saw a photo of the woman on his Boss' cell phone screen. The photo of the woman he has not seen since he moved to London a year ago.
"Go!" the boss said again.
"If you feel guilty, make someone else's life happy. Don't sacrifice anyone else in the pain you're feeling" Kenzo says, then leaves his boss's apartment. Also from the work he had been doing for about ten years. His family had opened a shop and owned several Kenzo homes. So, he wants to live better now. Also have someone who will calm his heart when the rain comes. Unlike his Boss who had to be tormented every time he remembered his loved ones.
Adhi looked at the floor like she always did. Every second, every minute, every hour passed just like that in his days. A year ago he handed over all the management of the Feli family company to someone who is a member. He also gave all his land in Indonesia to the Feli family and just left for London. He tried to work again but could not do anything while in his mind always imagined his wife's rigid body. Finally Kenzo who runs all his business in London without his presence at all. He doesn't care anymore .. but his throat hurts once now. He needs a drink.
Adhi stumbled across the room in her apartment and found no bottle of liquor left. Everything was empty, drunk by him.
"Ken. Buy me a drink!" his orders are in an empty room. He just remembered that Kenzo had just left .. painted himself to be able to return to Indonesia.
"Damn the boy. Aren't you living happily like the rich here? Got a fancy car, a luxury apartment and girls ready to do anything for you? Why did you leave? ... Why did you leave me alone?" adhi Oceh sat down on the sofa. Enjoy the orange-colored sunlight that comes from the thick curtains of the window.
"Damn it!" he could not help the thirst in his mouth. He picked up a jacket and some money sheet that was on the table and left his apartment. He walked and tried to remember the location of the minimarket but could not. Everything in his brain seemed twisted and could not be deciphered anymore. Adhi wanted to ask someone but everyone avoided him. Probably because of his slightly bad appearance now.
"Ahh, stupid period" he said then again walked down the area around his apartment to find a minimarket. He had been walking for a long time but could not find what he was looking for. He's touching. He could no longer walk and sat in the corner of a building with high walls.
"Assynolajet. Are you okay?"
For a moment he thickened his ears and thought he had heard wrongly. But no, he seemed to hear the greeting that the woman often used in her ears. Adhi opened his eyes and saw a man with a cute hat on his head. Was this the guy that spoke to her? thought.
"Are you okay? Do you need something?" ask the man again.
Adhi forms a glass with her thumb and index fingers and tries to tell the man that she needs a drink.
"God's Masya. Wait here"
"Here" he said, and then offered a glass. What Adhi meant was not this but he still accepted it. After drinking, his mouth was no longer dry, but his throat was hot. He got upset and threw the glass on the ground. Sorry for receiving a drink he didn't like.
"Astaghfirullah" said the man very similar to what Ambar always said. That lady. The woman who made him ignore his wife and future children. The woman who made him let his wife and son die. The woman who broke her heart like this. Adhi got up from her seat and gripped the clothes of the man in front of her.
"Don't talk like that. Nay!! You ... "
He did not have time to talk again, his head felt dizzy and then fainted. He must be dead by now. Rather than live like this, it might be better for him to just die.
"Are you okay?" ask someone in her ear. Adhi tried to open her eyes and saw a white light in front of her. It's gotta be heading to hell. He deserves to be punished for all his sins. Adhi tried to open her eyes wider and saw the same man who had given her a drink. He woke up and realized he was still alive.
"Are you okay?"
But why is the man now speaking in Indonesian? It looks nothing like an Indonesian.
"You're Indonesian?"
"Not my wife is Indonesian, so I can speak Indonesian. You need to go to the hospital?"
"No. No need"
"Do you want to wait? I'll take hot soup"
Adhi wanted to refuse but the man had already gone away. Leaving him in a large building with a high roof. Inside the building were several people who saw him also doing something he had seen. If it is true what he saw, then this building is ... .
"It's a good thing you fainted in front of the mosque. I'm not going to be strong enough to lift your own body.It turns out your body is big too" said the man who had left it. Now the man thrust a bowl of orange soup at him. Mosques. Right. So this building is called a mosque? A place to pray for Muslims like that woman.
"Please eat. You must have been cold outside"
Once again Adhi wanted to refuse but some people started to realize his existence. It embarrassed him and accepted the soup. Slowly she ate the soup and hard bread she was given and felt her throat warm. It wasn't as hot as when he drank the water earlier.
"I am Heri, from Indonesia. You?" ask the man who gave her soup.
"Adhi. London"
"How do you speak English?"
"job"
"Ohh"
Before long the soup and bread that the man gave him had been eaten. Adhi put an empty bowl in front of him and stood up to immediately leave the place. He felt uncomfortable being there, probably because he felt his body stink.
"You can come here for hot soup. We give it every day to everyone" the man said as he put on his shoes and rushed out. He felt the cold of the night outside the mosque and looked back. The man was no longer in his place. It may be marching just like the other men in the mosque. He only saw how regularly the line was doing every move, just as Ambar had seen it. What's the name of that movement? Ambar once told her but Adhi forgot.
He walked back to the apartment and forgot his intentions. Her stomach felt a little warmer and she just wanted to sleep now.
