Edmond's Business (part 4)

"I don't want a divorce. No matter what happens, I will keep my house. I'll fix all the mistakes I've made in the past. Especially now that my wife is pregnant. I can't divorce her, can I? How can this divorce happen if the wife is pregnant? I never did the KDRT. My only mistake was that I wasn't honest with my wife about my past. That's what's causing the discomfort in our relationship."

Mahira was surprised to hear Edmond's words before the judge and a counselor who mediated them in this first trial.

"Mrs Moreno. Are you pregnant?" ask judge.

"Yes." Yeah." Mahira can't lie anymore.

The judge gave some advice as well as the counselor. All of the advice directed them to rethink their divorce and suggested that they go back to make up for the baby who was temporarily conceived by Mahira.

The first trial was completed and is scheduled for another 2 weeks to hear the couple's confession.

After Mahira talks to her lawyer, she intends to return to the office but Edmond gets in her way.

"B.....!"

"You want what the hell, Ed? Why talk about my pregnancy? Aren't you barren? So this kid is not your son!"

Edmond held Mahira's hand as she was about to leave the parking lot.

"What else, Ed? I'm tired of all this. I'm traumatized by all your past about the mafia and everything. I want to live in peace with my children."

"I know you're pregnant with my son. On the eve of her death, Monalisa told me that she manipulated my lab results so that I would know I was barren and not force another pregnancy because mommy wanted a granddaughter so badly. I'm sorry to think that your second pregnancy was Teddy's son. I was so blinded by my jealousy and didn't try to find the truth."

Again Mahira was surprised to hear Edmond's confession about Monalisa who had deceived Edmond with the results of his examination.

"Let me be with you, Ra. Let me fix everything. If I married you first because I wanted to give you a grandchild but now I want to keep all this because I love you and Vienna. I can't leave you two alone when I find out you're pregnant with my son." Edmond's face was parched.

Mahira was confused. He pulled out the hand Edmond was holding when he saw his order had come.

"I have to get back to the office, Ed." Mahira got into the car and left Edmond who seemed so disappointed that Mahira did not respond to anything he said. But Edmond will not despair. He promised to fight to get his wife back.

All day Mahira could hardly concentrate on working. He was forced to have overtime because tomorrow is Saturday and the office is usually closed.

One by one the employees had gone home without Mahira realizing that he was living alone in his room.

By the time he reached the office lobby, it was already night. The time has already shown at half-eight in the evening. Mahira also stepped through the office yard to ride the angkot only. But a car enters the office yard and stops Mahira.

When the rider got off, Mahira immediately bowed respectfully. "Good night boss Jun!"

Jun, the oriental-faced man smiled. "Good night Mahira. Wanna go home?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"Let me take you!"

"No, boss Jun, I.....!" Mahira becomes uncomfortable when Jun has opened the door of his car and the movement of his hand allows Mahira to get into his car.

Mahira gets into Jun's car even though his heart doesn't feel calm.

"You don't go overtime often. It's not good for your health. The pregnant woman should have enough rest" Jun said when he was running his car.

"Yes, Jun boss."

"All right."

"How's your daughter doing? I saw a picture of him on your desk. He looks a lot like you, doesn't he?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"Mahira, you must already know how I feel about you, right? If your divorce with your husband is over, will you give me a chance to fill your heart?"

"I'm not the right woman for you, Juni. I will be a widow with two children. Out there, many women are single and have good personalities. Don't be with me."

"It's true that there are a lot of single women out there. I don't know why my heart chose you. I've been in love since I first saw you. When I know all your life, it doesn't dampen the love that grows in my heart. Especially when I found out that you were in the process of divorce, my expectations became even greater." Jun's words made Mahira feel even worse.

Jun's car stops in front of Mahira's house. There was also Edmond's car.

"Ra, don't you just refuse me. Let me be friends with you. Ok?"

Mahira nodded. Jun opens the car door for Mahira. Right at that moment, Edmond was looking through the window. His blood instantly boiled looking at a handsome man who opened the door for Mahira. Edmond's hands were clenched, but he was trying to control his feelings. There was Vienna behind him.

"Thank you, Jun!" said Mahira then immediately opened the gate and entered. He waved his hand until Jun's car disappeared. As he opened the front door, Vienna immediately greeted him.

"Mommy.., Om Ed bought Vienna a new doll. So now the Viennese doll is 10." Edewina raised all her fingers.

"Well, Vienna knows how to count." Mahira glanced at Edmond. He could see that Edmond was holding something back. Edmond's jaw that seemed to harden enough to make Mahira sure that Edmond held back angry.

"Thank you for accompanying Vienna." Mahira said subtly with the intention of letting Edmond go home.

Edmond could understand what Mahira meant. He grabbed his car keys on the table and intended to leave, but Vienna held Edmond's hand. "Om Ed, don't go. He said he wanted to accompany Vienna to sleep with the dolls."

"Darling, Ed has a job." Mahira tries to convince her son to let Edmond go home. But his son wanted to be with Edmod.

Edmond finally complied with the wishes of Vienna. He feeds Vienna a meal and helps her change her pajamas and asks Ed to accompany her in the room which is also Mahira's room.

Edmond was very pleased. He could smell Mahira's fragrant oil on the spot where he lay, reciting a fairy tale to Vienna until the boy fell into a deep sleep. One of his hands hugged two dolls while the other held Edmond's. Exactly like before. Before the shooting happened.

Mahira went into the room. Seeing Edmond sleeping with Vienna makes Mahira become restless. He did not know how to behave later after 2 weeks of time given by the judge.

Time has shown at 10 p.m. Mahira wakes Edmond. Edmond suddenly pulled Mahira's body with his eyes still closed and grabbed Mahira's body after kissing her back.

Mahira's heart stopped beating as Edmond's hand coiled around him. Mahira tried to escape Edmond's embrace but the man's hand was too strong to let go. Eventually, Mahira fell asleep because she was very sleepy.

The next morning Mahira woke up without seeing Edmond in the room. Edmond's car was no longer Adam No matter what time the man left but when Mahira took a shower and washed her face in the sink, she almost screamed to see a red mark on her neck. Thankfully, only one. Mahira was used to the office by rolling her hair, today forced to parse it.

Once he arrived at the office, he was again surprised by 2 flower packages from Jun which read: Spirit for you today

And the other one from Edmond that says Good morning my love and my breath. Ed
