THE SECRET OF EDMOND'S LOVE
Our Happy End

In front of the maternity room, Edmond seemed to go back and forth unsettled. He was supposed to be inside to accompany Mahira.

The doctor has actually given a 3-day surgery schedule again. But somehow this morning Mahira actually experienced a contraction and when taken to the hospital, he had already experienced the 6th opening.

"Ed, relax!" Rachel called her son but Edmond looked very nervous.

"How can you calm down, mom. Mahira was supposed to be operated on and not give birth to an ordinary child. I'm afraid something's happened to her."

"The doctor said surgery was no longer necessary. Edewina is 6 years old. So it's a long way off."

Edmond was still worried. At the time when the doctor had allowed Edmond to accompany him, Mahira did not want to.

Finally, there was the sound of crying babies from inside the maternity room. Edmond and Rachel looked at each other with happy faces.

"The sound is very loud." said Rachel.

Edmond's eyes even glazed over. He can't wait to meet his son.

"Mr Edmond, come on in!" bring one of the nurses. Edmond entered with great enthusiasm.

He saw Mahira who had finished cleaning and their little baby who was now in Mahira's arms.

"Congratulations sir. You guys have a handsome baby boy."

Edmond's approaching. His tears immediately flowed when he saw the handsome face that looked so calm in Mahira's sling.

"She's a lot like you at birth, Ed!" said Rachel who was standing behind Edmond. She also cried because of happiness.

"Welcome to EDGAR ERALIO MORENO."Edmond said with great pride.

6 months have passed, Mahira who has stopped working, is now focused on taking care of her son who is increasingly plump and adorable.

Rachel never returned to Madrid. He chose to stay with Edmond and Mahira because Edewina was his favorite.

Edmond takes care of his family's business in Manado, although at the end of each month, he has to go to Samarinda to take care of his business there.

Lerry is married to a girl from Japan and a marketing expert at the company. So Edmond became a little calm when he had to leave the company because Lerry now has an expert who processes the company and also loves him.

Edewina is also active in her school. He was known as a clever boy and was very spoiled for Edmond.

Edewina was very similar to Edmond. Starting from sleeping habits, favorite foods and even their likes who like to watch football.

Until one morning, Edewina screamed while crying when she saw her fainted oman in the bathroom. Rachel was immediately taken to the hospital and the doctor stated that the cancer cells in her body had spread to her heart. Rachel will no longer be saved.

Edriges, apparently devastated to see the wife who had been with him for almost 40 years, now lay weak. Rachel refused when they would take her out of the country for treatment.

One by one, his children were called to talk to him. After that he asked to speak specifically with Mahira and Edmond.

"Ed, thank you for bringing in an excellent daughter-in-law like Mahira. Mommy is very happy because Mahira is the ideal daughter-in-law in mommy's eyes. Actually, mommy's pain was so bad before your wedding. However, the birth of Edewina was like a cure for mommy to continue to survive." Rachel took a deep breath. "Mommy loved Edewina even though mommy finally knew that Edewina wasn't your flesh and blood, Ed."

Mahira and Edmond looked at each other. They're shocked.

"In his letter, Monalisa tells about the truth of Edewina's identity. Teddy is his biological father. But mommy's not mad that you're hiding this from mommy. Mommy's proud of you, Ed. You want to accept Edewina like your own son. Mommy burned all the letters that Monalisa sent to mommy. Edewina's secret is safe with mommy. For mommy, Edewina is the first granddaughter of the Moreno family and it will last forever. Never hurt Edewina by revealing her identity."

Edmond and Mahira promised to keep everything.

That night, Rachel Moreno died in the arms of her husband Edriges. He died in peace when he asked Edewina to sing a song they often sang while playing together.

Edewina looked sad because she lost her eyes. Likewise, the entire Moreno family who seemed very devastated when they saw their loved ones finally had to be buried.

A week after Rahel's death, Eduardo and his wife returned to Madrid, Edina returned to college in America while Edriges chose to remain in Manado.

The sound of children singing happy birthday songs was heard in the backyard of Moreno's house.

Edgar who was able to walk at his first age also seemed very happy. Edgar was very close to Edriges.

"Darling, why is your face a little pale?" edmond asked as he wrapped his hand around his wife's shoulder. The party was over and Edgar had gone with his opa and brother to play inside the house.

"Not sure, Ed. I feel like my body hurts all."

"You're too tired to possibly be preparing for Edgar's birthday. Want me a massage?" asked Edmond teasingly.

"Ed...., don't fuck around? It's still afternoon." Mahira understood what Edmond's gaze meant.

"Darling, I really want to massage you. Let's go to the room."

"Let's just a minute when you're going to sleep."

Edmond laughs. Mahira already knew her husband's strategy which was always the mode of wanting to massage but the edges ended up in bed with a heat struggle.

"You're getting pretty in my eyes, baby."

"Oh yeah?"

"of course. I can get through all my grief over mommy's departure because of you. Daddy even stayed here because he said, you are the best daughter-in-law who always makes Daddy happy. Especially with Edewina and Edgar."

"I haven't had parents since I was a kid. So I'd be happy if I could make Daddy happy."

Edmond kissed his wife's cheek. "Come on in. We'll prepare dinner together and then massage each other."

"Basic bawdy!"

Mahira's face immediately smiled when she saw the two red lines on the test pack she was holding. Last night while making love to Edmond, he felt more passionate than the previous days and it made him think to do a test this morning. It turns out what he thought was right. She's pregnant again.

"Darling.....!" call Mahira when you get out of the bathroom. Edmond who was temporarily wearing his work coat looked at his wife.

"What's wrong?"

"I have a surprise for you."

Edmond smiled. "I like surprises."

Mahira showed me the tespack in her hand. Edmond immediately grabbed it impatiently and was surprised to see there were two lines there.

"You pregnant?"

Mahira nodded.

Edmond hugged his wife with great joy. "Ah, dear. I'm very happy. Vienna and Edgar will have another sister. But baby, aren't you using a pregnancy-preventing pill?"

"When I was making plans for Edgar's birthday two months ago, I felt very busy and often forgot to take his pills. While you almost every night always ask me for rations."

Edmond chuckles. He caressed his wife's face. "Thank you for getting pregnant again. God is so good for giving me a wife like you."

"Thank you for never giving up on my love. I'm happy, because that afternoon let the Princess call you. I am happy because you accept me for who I am and never bring up my past. I'm happy because when I left, you never stopped chasing me. Our meeting at the campus gate on the day of the ospek was a gift. Because it turns out I've met my life partner. As hard as I build my relationship and my heart to be with Teddy, fate keeps bringing me back to you. I'll love you, Ed. Now and forever. Until I close my eyes."

Edmond kissed Mahira's lips very gently. "You're the most beautiful gift I've ever had. I'll never replace you with anyone until I close my eyes."

Then the two went back to kissing very affectionately. This morning felt so beautiful for Edmond Moreno because after a long time, this was the first day Mahira expressed his heart very long. Edmond will protect Mahira, Edewina, Edgar and their third child with all his breath.
