Chapters 14. Athalla's Marriage

After all the sitting down, dinner began. Mami gets rice and side dishes for Fitri. Kania took a breath and could only smile. Why would Kania survive? He appreciates Athalla and does not want to embarrass the man even more if he runs away.

Throughout the dinner Kania completely ignored both of Athalla's parents. Only Athalla invited him to talk occasionally.

"Atha, Fitri's a prospective doctor. Fits you. You can know him better. Take him out on the road" said Mami.

"Mommy, don't play a soul mate like that. Who knew his Fitri had a partner, didn't he?" ask Athalla.

Before Fitri answered the mother directly who spoke as if representing the girl.

"Fitri has no partner. He never went alone with any man. You're the first man to plow the road if you like. I was wondering in the kitchen!" said Mami.

"Kania's just your office mate, right? Papi and Mami think the friend you're going to dinner with is a guy friend!" say Papi again.

"Kania, you're just an Athalla employee, right? Your kehadiarnmu makes Fitri so wrong. So did his parents. He thinks you're Athalla's girlfriend. So it's not good for everything!" said Mami.

"Mommy, Papi, Kania this ...." Before Athalla continued his remarks Kania had cut him off.

"Yes, Mom. I'm just an employee. It just so happened that we were so close that Mr. Atha invited me to dinner. Is that right, Mr Atha?!" Kania spoke with great emphasis so that Atha could understand and justify his words.

"Mommy asked you to come back inside, Atha. Don't make Mommy embarrassed. From yesterday Mami has said if you want to introduce you to the children of Mami's friends. However, why did you bring Kania?"

"Didn't I ask permission to bring a friend with Papi and Mami yesterday?" ask Athalla.

"But you didn't say she was a woman!"

"It's Mommy's fault. But now my mom asks you inside. Get Fitri to talk. Bring it in the living room. Let us parents talk in the living room!" said Mami.

"Mi, why am I talking alone. Don't-don't Mami want to match me? If that is Mami's intention, please forget it. Because right now Kania and I are taking an approach to a more serious relationship.

Papi who realizes his son and wife are too long to leave guests finally follows. Seeing Mami and Athalla arguing, Papi approaches.

Athalla and Mami are forced to return to the living room where Fitri and her parents are still there.
