Chapter XI

"Nyokap bokap lo kali." Reply Denada as much as possible to stay calm.

"They won't knock on the door." Maddie's reply was quick.

"Denada, you hide there." Gavin then turned to Maddie, "Gue open the door, you hide behind the door." Gavin approached and whispered, "There's a knife under my futsal shoe."

As the only man in the house, Gavin must act. He dared to open the door. Upon seeing who was tapping Gavin's eyes widened. The fingers still holding the door's hand hinted Maddie to peek at the blemish of who their guest was.

"Ah, good night Gavin." Richard Hartono appeared smiling at the door of Blake's residence.

Gavin did not say a word. His mouth closed, but he did not know what to say.

"Om wake you up?" Richard asked with a smile. A pretty creepy smile considering he was seen at 12pm when Gavin and Maddie suspected him of being a psychopath.

"What does it take to be here at midnight?"

"Oh yeah, your parents put this away." Richard Hartono reached into the pocket of his pants and pulled out several keys that were hung together, "Om just arrived from the village. Actually Olivia dropped the key yesterday afternoon but Om forgot."

"Morrow can be Om." Gavin replies to Richard's astonished excuse of knocking on the door in the middle of the night just for the keys to his parents' care.

"I think you might need to." Reply Richard while thrusting the key, "Then go first. Good night Gavin."

As fast as lightning, Gavin closed and locked the door. Maddie breathed a sigh of relief and Denada came out from her hiding place.

"It doesn't make sense." Maddie.

"Positive thinking only. You may need that key as long as your parents are out of town." Reply Denada "Udahlah, I'm sleepy."

Denada immediately climbed the stairs, heading for the guest room that had been specially reserved for her, leaving Gavin and Maddie who were still faithful in place, struggling with their thoughts.

As the new sun showed itself, Maddie decided to jog with Denada. Last night's incident made Maddie think until she had to take medicine to sleep. Luckily, he did not forget to set an alarm to wake up early. Now the two girls sit on the edge of the Grand Puri hotel which is quite far from the Maddie housing, and order chicken porridge.

"Who else? He has motive, right?" Denada took a sip of water before returning to tell him, "Partially why did you suddenly poke?"

"We don't have any other story material."

Denada finished off his porridge, carrying a portion and took out his black wallet.

"How much bang?"

"Ten thousand."

"Gue can pay." Maddie nodded with her mouth full.

Denada gave her the money and took the headset at the dinner table, without heeding the already grumbling Maddie.

"Gue has to go home. I'll wash the clothes."

"Lo want to walk home?"

"Gavin! Madeleine!"

"Inka's? Junior High friend Maddie?" Ask Chester who is also curious. Gavin only replied with a short nod.

Shortly thereafter Maddie entered while humming with the headset still attached to the ear. As usual she took off her white shoes before entering the living room.

"Mom, Papa, are you home?"

"New to." Chester replied, "Where is Inka?"

Maddie throws her sweat towel at Gavin in annoyance, "Gavin's bucket mouth."

"Dispose." Gavin stood up and threw the towel back at his brother.

"Loh, why the hell? My mom hasn't seen him in a long time either." Ask Olivia who is now sipping tea made by Bi Foni.

"He's home." Maddie's reply was brief.

Gavin, who had finished playing, and kept the expensive object back, looked at the older brother, "Street?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"Home is far away." Gavin swears to find Maddie willing to let Denada walk home.

"Gavin's." Olivia's rebuke made the 3rd year Junior High student smile awkwardly and Maddie who smiled widely while mocking her sister.

Just like their agreement, Gavin decides to spend the night in Maddie's room, while watching Richard Hartono's house visible from Maddie's balcony. They just wanted to make sure Richard was the real culprit or not. Various equipment has been prepared by the two brothers. Starting from the camera to record until the telescope to see the benat the face of the perpetrator.

It had been 1 hour waiting when a black car pulled over in front of Richard Hartono's house. Both Gavin and Maddie held telescopes to see more clearly.

"That's the same car that kidnapped Angelina." Whisper Maddie.

"Of Richard." Gavin said when he saw who got out of the car.

Richard was seen in all-black clothes out of the driver's seat and running small, opening the passenger seat, and a woman came out of it.

"That's who?" Ask Gavin slowly.

Maddie was surprised to see who was holding hands with the lecturer, "Vivi. He went to the same school as Sophie. I talked to him when Sophie disappeared."

The two brothers continued to monitor Richard and Vivi. The two men initially just sat in front of the house while telling stories, occasionally laughing. Until the next second Richard pulled Vivi's chin and kissed the girl.

"Kiss." Maddie says quietly but Gavin can still hear her.

"They're dating maybe."

The next thing was that their kiss was getting bigger and Vivi's knee-length skirt was now lifted. Maddie and Gavin immediately removed their telescopes and turned off the cameras.

"OKs. I don't need to see more." Kqta Gavin fast.

"Gue too."

Gavin awkwardly keeps the telescope back from Maddie's closet, "Maybe we're too suspicious."

"Yes." Yeah." Maddie's reply was brief.

In the silence of the night Vivi's hot voice started to sound. Gavin and Maddie are so uncomfortable that Gavin decides to leave Maddie's room.

"Gue won't sleep here."

After Gavin left, Maddie tried to sleep, but Vivi's voice was heard. And Maddie was very uncomfortable and disgusted.

"Where's my headset?"

And as Maddie baffledly searches for a headset to cover her ears, Vivi and Richard Hartono increasingly voice their voices. As quickly as possible Maddie put her headset in her ear and played the song, at full volume.

"Om fucking Richard." The grumpy girl was upset then covered herself with a blanket.

Maddie was almost late for school because she couldn't sleep well. When he was wearing shoes, the voice from the Papa's phone sounded quite clear.

Richard Hartono suddenly appeared at home with a red folder in his grasp.

"No papa." Richard smiled, "Either why can I forget that I'm allergic to peanuts, and last night I ate a peanut butter cookie."

Chester who had been silent, suddenly chuckled softly, "That one in the neck is also allergic to Cad?"

A distraught Richard approached the mirror on the nightstand near the shoe-spot, and found a container, - to be exact Vivi's ex - clearly emblazoned.

"Oh my god." Richard immediately closed the container, "I'd better go."

Richard left as quickly as possible leaving Chester who was already chuckling.

"Shame on Richard, Ches." Olivia combed her hair in front of the mirror.

"He is not in control." Chester replied indifferently.

On the other hand Maddie and Gavin as quickly as possible enter the car and give each other a disgusting look, because they know what happened last night, even before the father's innuendo.
