The Witness's
Chapter XII

Leon and Denada were in sporthall talking, occasionally laughing as Will came and sat between them. His face was very cheerful, like a child newly given candy.

"Udah is not?" Will asked enthusiastically. No matter Leon who has been looking at him upset because it interferes with his time with the girlfriend.

"What?" Reply Leon jutek.

"School's gonna have a Halloween party."

"Oh yeah?"

"That's cool." Reply Denada.

"And cool again Mr. Kepsek will work together with M&B's Party Decor."

Leon screeched, "That's Maddie's advice."

"This time is not."

Suddenly Maddie interrupted their conversation. The girl with the hair in the high tie was sitting next to Denada while snacking on potato chips.

"My father announced, Mr. Kepsek has made an appointment tomorrow afternoon." Further.

"Remain here? Isn't every break in your cafeteria?" Ask Denada ketus.

"With almost 1 month I do not disturb other students. Lo includes. You guys aren't proud? Proud of sure."

Maddie's words make Leon, Denada and Will leave. Not because of Maddie's words, but her speech style is very unfeeling. He said it all at will, like he never made a mistake.

"Where are you going?" Ask Maddie plain.

"Classily. Pull the bell in." Reply Leon turned his back to Maddie who was following them.

"Yuk street school. I treat." Bidar Maddie with her chilling.

"Males." Answer Denada.

He and Leon speed up the pace, leaving Maddie irritated. Maddie turned around and climbed up the stairs next door, towards the classroom. With an annoyed grumble he sped up the pace, equating his position with Will's.

"Lo is lonely?" Will asked with a brief glance at Maddie.

"Who said?" Maddie Reply.

Will stopped in front of the class, followed by Maddie, and looked at the girl, "Among all the students, you've got the three of us."

Maddie shrugged indifferently, "We're both just like Will. We're 10th grade class."

"Are you Leon?"

"Additional." Maddie replied that she would not lose.

"You don't like Leon anymore, and that's the only reason you used to stay away from Denada, why until now you still don't like each other?"

Will's question made Maddie's mood instantly change. He threw out his snacks, grabbed a tissue in his pocket and cleaned his fingers and mouth. He hugged the front hand of his chest and let out a rough breath.

"It's none of Will's business."

"My business is Maddie too." Will tightened their distance while pressing every word that came out.

"Urusan lo from where?"

"I like the same color. And I don't want to kayak first. I love you now."

Maddie could only be silent. Will has just expressed his feelings. And Maddie doesn't know how to respond. He had never been in this position before. His heart is starting to go bad.

"What?"

That's all Maddie can say. The next moment he cursed himself. How could he reply to someone who had just expressed his feelings with the word 'What'.

"Yes, you're still a bitch. But at least you do not bully people anymore and you have more attention to each other. I love that Mads."

"What attention?" Maddie asked confusedly.

"Gue saw you with Denada last week. Let's take him for a jog, right? Leon also told me you asked him to go."

Maddie rolled her eyes irritatedly, "Take a jog instead of my attention to her."

"But you want to deket again is not the same Denada? Want another meeting? Or because Zoe and Eyebrow are far away?"

"It's none of your business."

Maddie's patience is gone. Will just ruined a good situation with a question Maddie doesn't want to discuss. Questions about the change and Denada. Maddie resentfully leaves Will in front of the class and continues to ignore the man."

The moon had already appeared when Maddie came out of the bathroom. While humming, the girl sat in front of the dressing table, wearing face cream, then combed her long hair. He grabbed a textbook and started reading every word written there, not forgetting the notebook he used to write schoolwork.

In the middle of learning activities, the sound of a cell phone attracts attention. He picked up the flat object with the apple logo and saw a number he did not recognize. At the second sound Maddie decided to take the call by installing a loudspeaker.

"Hello?"

"Hey Mads."

Maddie glares. He recognized this voice.

"William?"

"Yes." Yeah." Will chuckled softly, "Gue was sorry about this afternoon. I don't mean to interfere with your business with Denada."

"Yes." Yeah."

Maddie swore softly as she could only reply briefly again. I don't know what's going on, Maddie's never been like this before. The wrong behavior.

"Lo.. still angry huh?"

"No."

Maddie patted the eel, feeling stupid for a moment.

"Tomorrow to be home from a busy school?"

"Yes." Yeah."

Maddie immediately turned off her phone. He cursed himself. He patted his eel and covered his mouth with a pillow while shouting.

"Oh my gosh.. What am I supposed to be so bego huh?"

Maddie was embarrassed. But he re-occupied himself with school lessons. Although his fingers were stuck to the pen, but his eyes were not. He keeps glancing at the phone, hoping Will gets back on the phone, but he doesn't. The phone screen is not on.

Maddie couldn't take it anymore. He closes the book and calls Will back. This time he caught his breath.

"Hello, Will?"

"Maddie?"

"Gue's not busy tomorrow. I-I mean, tomorrow I have time- eh?"

From there, Will laughed softly. And strangely Maddie was ashamed. He smiled as he covered his face with a pillow.

"Yes yes. I understand. The new nyokap store is open tomorrow, and he told me to go there and bring his order from Holland Bakery. You wanna come with me?"

"OKs. I can do it."

"That's great."

"OKs. Bye."

"B-"

Just now Will wants to reply Maddie immediately press the red button. He gawks when he hears a single letter coming out of Will's mouth, but he turns off the connection.

"Bego's. Begos. Begos. Very bego. Oh, my god." Maddie nodded her head slowly, "So-shame. God fucking. Fucking brain."

Like yesterday's conversation, Maddie and Will leave school as the bell rings. With misgivings Maddie enters Will's car, not wanting anyone else to see her. Upon entering Will's black car, Maddie realizes that the car is clean enough for a man. The smell of coffee also greets the sense of smell.

Will enters the car with a break. He set the rearview mirror before turning on the car, honking at some friends who kept calling him, and leaving the schoolyard.

"Why don't you get mad when you bring a friend?" Maddie asked felt bad. It's Will's parent's boutique opening, and Will's taking Maddie.

"What is angry for? You didn't come for a storm, did you?"

Maddie scratched the nape not itchy, "Yes the hell."

"Lo why nervous? Not usually." Will asked with a big smile. Although his gaze was focused on the road, but Maddie's face was hot looking at Will's smile.

"Fall be."

Will only responds with a laugh, "Confidence dong. It's beautiful."

Will looked slowly and blinked his eyes. Maddie could not help her smile. He turned his gaze out the window while squeezing his fingers.

Will ******.

Will and Maddie have arrived. It is located right in front of a hotel. Next to the boutique is a supermarket and next to it is a food stall. Strategic enough. Nervously Maddie followed Will from behind. The shop is crowded with people. Will continues to lead him until he arrives at the end of the building, precisely the cashier section. Looks like a beautiful woman about 40 years old sitting while sipping a glass of tea.

Will immediately approached the woman and hugged her briefly. Netra hazel Maddie looked at the woman as she hugged Will.

"Sore aunt." Greet Maddie awkwardly.

"Maddie?"

Will handed me a crackle bag containing a box, "This is my mom's order and I brought a friend." Will said as he pointed at Maddie who was smiling awkwardly.

"Good, how many of these?"

Someone's call interrupted them. The woman named Beautiful gave a waiting gesture as she wore glasses placed on her head.

"Auntie go there first." Lovely farewell to Maddie before going to serve a buyer.

After his death, Will invites Maddie to sit behind the cashier table, and offers a plate of cake that is already available.

"Not bad right?" Will asked.

"It's good to you." Reply Maddie by taking a piece of pastry.

"Gue just found out you know each other."

Maddie shut her mouth while chewing, "Tante Indah has been with the same train as me. So I know each other."

The two spent the afternoon in the boutique telling stories. When it gets dark, Will takes Maddie home. They stopped in front of Maddie's chocolate house. Will stops the car and turns off the engine.

"Thank you for coming home."

Maddie said after Will turned off the car and looked at her. Even though only in the scant light from the front of the house Maddie could see Will smilingly looking at her.

"Thank you for that. If I was alone there, full of aunts."

Maddie responds to Will with a chuckle recalling that in the boutique filled with women, only male Will lives there.

Maddie's laughter was replaced with silence and nervous when Will decided to take his hand.

"Listen Mads, I know you don't like me, and maybe this sounds cheesy, but I actually like you. At least be my friend." Will stroked Maddie's hand slowly, which managed to make the person with Blake misbehave, "Gue also knows you don't just claim someone 'friend'. So you want to at least be my friend, until you can be my girlfriend?"

"OK." Maddie's reply was quick. He pulled his hand and immediately got out of the car. Face heated.

Will finds out and is amused to learn Maddie is misbehaving. The short-haired man came out and leaned his chin on the car. Staring at Maddie meaningfully.

"See you tomorrow?" Will asked with two raised eyebrows.

Maddie replied with a faint smile before walking in, turning her back to Will. You can be sure that Maddie is starting to put some flavor on Will. The feeling he put on Leon while still in Junior High.
