Chapter XV

The cause of Leon's mother's death makes Maddie curious. Leon said he died of illness while Chester gave another clue. Upon arriving at school Maddie immediately looks for Denada. And lucky that Leon hasn't arrived. The girl entered the 12th grade IPA and sat in front of Denada.

"I want to talk to you."

Not intending to say hello, Denada fingers danced agilely on top of her smart phone.

"Denada."

"Inka Winstone's chest."

Denada let out a rough breath and left, leaving the classroom but Maddie intercepted him. Angrily he is forced to face Maddie in front of the class.

"Lo why cuekin me?"

"Lo why decetin me?" Reply Proud Denada. Although their relationship has improved, but it does not change Denada's feelings. He still didn't want to get too close to Blake's incumbent.

"Something I want to ask you. Important."

"Moran?" Denada let out a rough breath.

"We can't talk here."

"Jude."

As Denada turned around Maddie pulled Denada's hand and gave a serious look.

"I mean it Denada. That's as important as that."

Denada was kept silent again. She is confused by Maddie's recent behavior.

"Entar's coming home from school I have to help Aunt Mala cook. His son goes to the hospital and there's nothing anterin food."

Maddie nodded steadily and passed. Maddie changed. Denada likes that. He no longer bullied a single student, Maddie's grades were also better than before.

Maddie throws an origin bag when entering a minimalist house Denada. The girl tied her hair high, and pulled out a cell phone, typed something there and followed Denada into the kitchen.

It is not as big as the kitchen at the Blake residence, but enough for 2 people to go back and forth there. The light blue kitchen is clean and tidy. No dirty dishes, empty trash cans even the stove is shiny.

Denada who has changed clothes began to remove some materials from the refrigerator, remove the knife and kneading and put the apron on.

"Lo what do you want to do?" Ask Maddie.

"The chicken will be fried and in sous, the vegetables will be in the light and the paste in fried flour." Clearly Denada while pointing at all the neatly arranged materials on the kitchen table.

"Gue the fried parts of chicken and tempeh." Maddie turned her head with two raised eyebrows "Lo's room is still the same right? I want to pinjem the t-shirt."

Maddie passed up the stairs leaving Denada with a mouthful. It hasn't been 1 hour and Maddie has pissed Denada off.

In the middle of the cooking activities of the two students Denada remembered the main purpose of Maddie coming home.

"What do you want to ask?"

Maddie who just remembered him raised the tempeh that had been cooked and replaced with chicken. He washed his hands and approached Denada who was smoothing the onions. The smell of chicken meat that has been in the salt and garlic began to greet the sense of smell

"Tante Devi and Om Richard are sisters, right?"

Denada gave a lazy look at Maddie, "This Topic again?"

"important."

"Yes." Yeah." Answer Denada lazily.

"How long has it been since Aunt Devi's death?"

"6 years ago, it wasn't wrong."

"The events of Om Jim were also 6 years ago." Maddie muttered softly, "Lo know why Aunt Devi died?"

Denada took off the knife and placed both hands on the waist, "That's way out of my line. Why the hell then?"

"Curious. You see the incident Om Jim a few years ago took some victims and somehow bokap I had mentioned about Aunt Devi. I think Leon is one of the victims."

"It's none of our business, Mads. There's cops. That's their job. And I'm sure Will doesn't want to poke into his father's past." Denada said, "Oh and FYI, Aunt Devi died in an accident."

After that, they both remained silent. No more talking about Jimmy Adhicandra. Both are painstaking with their respective tasks. Even so Maddie is still in a curious mood.

Returning home from Denada, Maddie invites Gavin to accompany her to buy books at the bookstore and stop for bread at the Singapore bakery. Gavin had asked why his brother did not invite Zoe or Alis but was not responded to.

"Zoe equals Eyebrows where? How do you rarely go home?" Ask Gavin while they're in line.

"No more fuss." Maddie Reply.

"Kalo Zoe and Alis are no longer your friends, and the Incas are not. Who's your friend's trus?"

Maddie fell silent and glanced at Gavin briefly before replying, "Will."

"Papa was angry with you friendan with him."

Maddie shrugged indifferently, "Don't care."

"His father was a criminal, Mads."

Netra hazel Maddie exuded fury. He's been holding back enough emotion ever since people started telling him to stay away from Will because of his father's fault.

"Gue was with his son, not his father."

The girl pressed down on every word. With the volume of sound that only Gavin can hear, Maddie makes it clear that she no longer wants to be rebuked for being friends with William.

"Ok fine." Reply Gavin, "But you have to be careful. I'm afraid Leon died because of Jim."

Maddie who was about to put the book she wanted to buy at the cashier's desk suddenly stopped. He turned his head towards Gavin with glaring eyes before he put the book down, and paid without taking any change, pulling Gavin out of the bookstore as quickly as possible. The two Chester children slowly walked into a Singapore bakery and began to tell stories.

"You mean Aunt Devi the victim of Om Jim 6 years ago?"

"Yes. He said there were 6 victims, and Aunt Devi was the last." Gavin said half in a whisper.

"Who said?"

"Papa. I didn't accidentally talk to you in the backyard."

Maddie shakes. He received 2 different pieces of information within 1 day. Mind fucked.

"That's impossible. Leon died in an accident."

Gavin raised one forehead, "Who said?"

"Denad. He said it was."

"Snack."

Yes, Maddie knows. Bizarrely. There's no way Chester Blake would lie and there's no way Denada would lie. He just told me what Leon told me.

The smell of chocolate and bread freshly removed from the oven filled the room. Maddie and Gavin began to pick up the tray and filled it with bread.

"You know Aunt Devi was Om Jim's victim, and Will and Leon know, why are they winning?" Gavin asked, "It's not wrong either, but if my mother killed my parents, I was angry. I don't want to talk to him anymore, look at his face I don't want to."

"Yes too."

I want to avoid the truth but the facts are clear. Jimmy Adhicandra is indeed a cold-blooded killer, and it makes sense that Leon would not be friends with him. But now both Leon and Will are close friends.

"But if Aunt Devi wasn't the victim, and Leon did die in an accident, why did Papa say we don't need to know about Aunt Devi's death?"

Gavin's consecutive questions were quite curious. Wh why? That's the main question in this suspicious case.

"What's so weird, huh? Denada said something else, papa said something else. I can't possibly ask Will or tell him who was the victim of Om Jim 6 years ago."

"Lo couldn't have asked Leon. He hates you." Gavin's right. Although Denada's relationship with her begins to improve, Leon still hates her.

Maddie could only hope. Hope all the truth will be revealed as soon as possible. William and Leon are two men involved in a great secret. Whether they realize it or not, but the people closest to them are dangerous.
