Chapter XXI

At exactly 11:30, Maddie entered the courtroom in a hurry. Netra hazelnya found Leon who was sitting in the back and very coincidentally there was an empty seat. The girl circulated a glance to see who was present. In addition to the jury and the judge and several police officers, there is the son of Aunt Mala with his wife, Leon and himself.

"Sorry I'm late."

Leon looked annoyed, "Wake up at what time?"

"Hour 7."

Leon glared in disbelief. He looked at Maddie with furrowed brows, "Explain why it was too late. You're not going to school today."

"No clothes."

Leon simply replied with a flat gaze, "That's the most stupid excuse ever to come out of the mouth of a Madelline Blake."

"Sorry, I'm bad luck."

Leon no longer responded. The trial is almost over. No family from Richard Hartono had come but him. Leon's father just swore at the man and cursed him. Leon won't come, but he's family anyway. And Leon had to attend the hearing.

"The sentence of Richard Eddie Hartono has been decided. Richard's gonna be in law for life without-"

"Sorry Leon." Maddie holds Leon's shoulder to hear the jury's decision. Leon did not react. He just sat back and held the match he prepared for a cigarette.

"He deserves it all." Mumbled Leon slowly.

In between it was seen some policemen taking Richard out of the room. The trial is over, which means he'll be taken to jail soon. Leon and Maddie immediately went out and looked for the man dressed in orens.

"Excuse me sir, I'm a family member of Richard Hartono. Can I talk to him for a minute?" Leon asked permission from an officer standing guard outside Richard Hartono's room.

"Where are your parents?" The well-bodied policeman asked back while staring at Leon from head to toe.

"I'm the only family." Leon insists. I don't know what he wants to say, which Maddie would not want to hear. Leon was quite scary when angry.

"3 minutes."

The brown door opened, letting Leon in. Maddie decides to wait for Leon while informing Will about the outcome of the trial. It did not feel like 3 minutes had passed and Leon came out with a face that Maddie did not expect. Leon looks scared.

"Hey Leon." Maddis runs after Leon, "Gue's going to the hospital. You wanna come?"

"No, I want to rest. I haven't been able to sleep quietly since the Inca disappeared and now that Om Richard has been arrested, I can sleep peacefully tonight." Obviously Leon is long. He stopped his steps and looked at Maddie, "Titip greetings to Aunt Mala."

Leon immediately jumps on the bike, puts on a helmet and leaves Maddie.

1 Week has passed and Denada's condition has improved. It's been the 2nd week in December and Denada is still at home in bed, in the hospital. Although different classes, Maddie took the time to do all the tasks Denada remembers the exam in a moment. The girl also did not forget to bribe the chairman of class 12 IPS to copy all the notes that Denada missed and give it to him.

Good friend, right? This time Will did not dare to rebuke Maddie. He did this for Denada.

"Is the number active?"

"Not yet."

Now Maddie and Will are pacing the front of a 1st class room with a huff. The patient was conscious and the person they were looking for had not yet revealed his nose. It makes Maddie snitch.

"Where the hell is he going? I was swallowed by the earth, suddenly said." Maddie continued to chatter and lash out at Leon whom she had not seen since the trial.

"Many thoughts possible. The case of Richard's Om is too much for Leon. I'm also staying put." Will tries to understand Leon who has not visited his girlfriend, who has been in the hospital for 1 week.

Will decides to take Maddie to Denada for the first time since she woke up yesterday. Showing off a smile they both entered the room filled with flowers. Tanta Mala who saw them came out, gave them their own time.

"Hi."

"Hi." Denada replied with a hoarse voice.

"What's sick?" Ask Maddie. He tried not to shed tears.

"I'm a pegel." Reply Denada weak.

"Udah eat? I brought corn soup with bread." Will said as he put his luggage on the table and set it all on the table.

"Take a loaf."

"Ready." Will said loudly.

"Thank you for donating your blood, Will."

"Together." Reply Will smiled as he offered a piece of bread.

Denada turned to Maddie, "Thanks is also looking for a donor. Thanks to your parents too."

Maddie replied with a short nod.

"Lo..why what happened that night?"

Maddie scolds Will with a glare, "He needs Will's rest. Don't force it."

"still. It's too obvious." Reply Denada. He understood the curiosity of his friends.

"No need for a story."

Denada fixed her seat with Will who helped arrange a pillow for her to lean on, "That night I decided to go home by myself. 15 minutes after the party was over I pesen ojol. When we just came out of the ear, the rider immediately took me to a supermarket, he said he was thirsty, so he bought a drink. I was also bought."

"And you had a drink right then and there?"

Denada nodded in response to Will's question, "The bottle is still sealed so I don't think it's been sabotaged. After we walk again my head starts to get dizzy. Long story short when I realized I was in a room, in the house of Om Richard."

"Did he.. touch you?" Maddie asked very carefully.

"According to the results of the doctor. Still my P. But when I wanted to tell a story, he suddenly received a phone call and shouted at the caller, I don't know who it was, which he was definitely not happy. The next second I'm on the crest, kicked in. at.."

Tears came out when Denada told him what Richard Hartono was doing. Maddie hugs Denada, calms the girl down and gives her water to drink. Maddie stroked Denada's head slowly while smiling wryly.

"Where's leon?"

Denada's question manages to make Maddie and Will stare at each other.

"We don't know where he is either. Last time I saw Leon was at Richard's Om trial." Obviously Maddie is also confused where Leon, "Om Richard is in prison for life. He also admitted killing Sophie, Angelina and Vivi on the grounds that killing could calm his mind."

Saying that made Maddie shudder in horror herself. Just imagine the man had to take a person's life for his mind to calm down. Until now Maddie did not end up thinking Om Richard is a psychopath who horrendous city. Neighbors who he knows as friendly lecturers who have a hobby of planting have mental disorders. It was fortunate that the police found Denada before Om Richard finished him off as well.
