Chapter XVIII

"Lo know?" Will asked curiously.

"Yes. Vivi Sophie's junior on campus."

"Sophie Gunawan?"

"Yes." Yeah."

Will stopped his movement. He took off the plate and looked at Maddie, "What a coincidence? They died in a sadistic way and probably also by the same person."

"Yes, but-O Richard." Maddie realized something. But his netra hazel instead glanced at Will who was also staring at him. The girl shut her mouth tightly.

"Who?"

"Not really." Maddie smiled awkwardly, "You're eating already? I'll take some water to drink."

Maddie was looking for a reason to calm her mind. What Will said made sense. They are all familiar with the figure of a friendly lecturer whose hobby is gardening. They also died in a horrible way. Is this a coincidence again?

"Calm Maddie.quiet down.This may be a coincidence. Strange coincidence.The cast and new boyfriend Om Richard could die less than 2 months." Maddie laughed awkwardly, "Lo overthink Mads.yeah.."

Maddie immediately turned around and tried to eliminate the new facts she got. The fact that Richard Hartono is very suspicious, has a relationship with 2 victims, but somehow never suspected. He wanted to report everything to the police, but the girl was too scared. Afraid that Richard might be the culprit, and afraid that Richard would not be the next victim.

The owner of the long black mane was about to sit down as Will pulled him into the middle of the sporthall.

"Maddie. dance with me."

The Celline Dion I Believe song, which covers the school, invites anyone who wants to dance to come forward and enjoy every romantic melody. Will did not want to miss the opportunity.

"A Halloween party has a dance?" Ask Maddie who is now dancing to the beat.

"Only 2 songs and Mr. Kepsek will start with the distribution of gifts for the Guests, M&B's and Chairman of Osis." Will arranged some of Maddie's hair, "Our brother banned the kek gini dance, but some of the students ignored it."

"I can see that." Maddie replies with a glance, some members of the sausage are seen walking around the dance circle, becoming the supervisor of other students who are too close.

"Leon and Denada dance." Will said without looking away from Maddie's netra hazel, "The rules are just not too close, because the members of the sausage will quickly break if they are found too close."

"Are you thinking of going to college or work?" Maddie asked who was starting to get it wrong. Desperate to shift the topic so that he could neutralize his feelings.

"Gue wants to go to college while working. I don't want to after graduation, I still have to ask for pocket money with mama." Will replies, "Lo himself?"

"Lecture."

"Where?"

"NOROM."

Will raised one forehead, "That's where?"

"Singapore. I still have to choose between the Department of Jewelry Design or Photography."

"Wow."

Will could not hide his facial expression. Imagining Maddie studying in an elite place was expected, but not abroad.

"Where is Lo?"

"UPH, Faculty of Computer Science." Will replied with a smile.

"War?" Tone of surprise also can not be separated from Maddie's mouth.

Will nodded, "Gue planned to work at my aunt's restaurant there, as well as college."

"That's great." Maddie Mumbled.

"But I can keep a long distance relationship."

"Hm?" Maddie looked at Will confusedly.

"Gue can ldr-an."

"Huh?"

Will chuckles. He took Maddie's hand and looked at the girl, "Lo want to be my girlfriend?"

"Yes." Yeah."

It didn't take long for Maddie to reply. He glared then shut his mouth realizing he was answering Will's question as fast as lightning. And it was very embarrassing considering the volume of his voice could be heard by the surrounding students.

"really? Thanks Mads." Will pulls Maddie in his arms with a big smile that he has no intention of letting go. Maddie smiled faintly and returned the embrace of the man who is now a girlfriend.

Until someone pulls them apart. Maddie stared at the girl she recognized as a junior sister was sharp.

"Sorry Brother Maddie, Brother Will. But I have orders from Gerald." The classmate was nervous. He ran away before Madelline Blake went on a rampage and made her a victim.

"Too close." Whisper Will.

The two simply laughed and continued dancing until the song ended. Maddie is so happy. Had thought he would be alone to sit in college, just as Zoe said, but not. Will did not take his hand off until he reached the seat. Leon and Denada disappeared somewhere, Maddie gave a glance, intending to tell Denada but the black-clothed figure was nowhere to be seen.

"The pie is made."

Maddie turns and finds Zoe and Alis sitting at Leon and Denada's place. Maddie gave a rough breath. It could be that in the happy moment both heartless figures appeared.

"The goal is Madelline, William." Zoe said with a glance at Will from head to toe, while smiling sideways, "You guys are the most stunning pair. One of the kids doesn't want to know, the other one's Jim The Killer."

Had enough. Maddie slaps Zoe hard enough to attract all the party invitations. Netra hazel Maddie exuded fury.

"Never talk to that cake again!"

Maddie doesn't care if she's the center of attention. All activities stopped because of Maddie's rampage.

"So your mouth! You don't know anything about Will and his family!"

The long-spirited girl continued to shout while pointing at Zoe who did not look afraid in the slightest, in contrast to the Eyebrows who chose to stay away.

"What else do you want to deny? The killer is a murderer!" Shouted Zoe.

Will hugs Maddie from behind, preventing her from attacking Zoe. But Afrian Blake was already standing in their midst.

"Zoe and Madelline. To my room now."

Will releases Maddie with relief. Will smiles thinly knowing Maddie is still defending himself even though reality is in sight. His father was a murderer. Maddie knows. But the girl put the reality aside and accepted Will anyway.

About an hour Maddie walked out of the Afrian room after Zoe and the gray-haired man. The party is over and Will is still sitting in the same place, waiting for his girlfriend to hug Maddie's sling bag. There were still a few students, mostly dorm children, as well as a few wandering teachers.

"Are you ok, Will? Zoe's mouth should indeed be in ******. Take it easy, I'll make sure he apologizes as soon as possible."

Will just replied with a smile.

"The one who said Zoe had it. I'm a killer."

"The bad guy is him, not lo." Maddie Reply. He was already quite satisfied with the few people who were blocking him from getting close to Will because of his father. Maddie wants to be selfish. He likes Will.

"Gue take you home."

Maddie jerks. He suddenly recalled that he had come along with Denada, whom he had not seen since the dance that his mind had focused on Will.

"Where's the situation?"

"Home home at most. He was the same Leon. Leon's got a car, too."

Maddie nodded slowly. I don't know why she doesn't feel good. Denada came home without saying goodbye. Not calling or sending messages.

The sound of an apple-branded phone kept ringing until it woke the owner up. With narrowed eyes and a distinctive hoarse voice just waking up, Maddie answers the call without seeing who is calling.

"Hello?"

"Good Morning."

Maddie. He turned on the screen and saw Will's name on it. The girl took a sip of water that was always provided beside the bed before returning to the story.

"Good Morning."

"Gue take her to school?"

"Can." Maddie replied, her voice was back to normal.

"Don't forget breakfast, today we have Pop Quiz."

Maddie patted the eel, "Geez. I forgot."

"We can still learn in class. I'll pick up at 7, we can study before the 8:15 bell."

"OKs. I took a bath."

Maddie jumped out of bed and ran to the bathroom. It's his first day at school with his girlfriend. He doesn't want to be late.

But when Will's car enters the school grounds, they are greeted by the police and all the students who roam the parking lot. Very unusual. Maddie immediately went down, followed Will and approached their class leader who had just finished telling one of the police.

"Why rame gini?" Ask Will.

"Since the Halloween party last night Denada hasn't come home yet."

Maddie's heart stopped. His mind started to get messed up. Denada did not come home. Without realizing it, tears began to wet his cheeks. Will realizes that and hugs Maddie. Jim Adhicandra's only son tried his best to calm Maddie down. Although the boyfriend and Denada do not have a good relationship, but he knows Maddie is trying hard to improve their relationship. Maddie. Very hard hit.

Netra hazel Maddie catches her Uncle walking into the schoolyard. He ran to meet Afrian. Maddie has to say something. Something he believes could help the police. And he'll start with Sophie Gunawan.

"Uncle."

"Not now Maddie."

Afrian rejects Maddie. He sped up the stairs, heading for his room as Maddie continued to talk to him. The man ignores her until Maddie pulls Afrian's hand, and makes the headmaster look at him.

"I'm a witness."

"What?"

The attention of the uncle he managed to get.

"I think Denada's disappearance has something to do with the discovery of corpses in the city. I know something."

Afrian brings Denada into his room and lets Maddie tell him what she knows. Maddie is the last person to be with Denada at the party.

"Whose name are you?" Ask a man dressed in a police uniform.

"Madelline Blake."

"Well Madelline, my name is Dawn and I'll interview you. Tell me everything you know and remember. Understood?"

Maddie's interview went well. The girl said everything she remembered, the reason she suspected someone and where she was last night when Denada disappeared.

"And you know this man you suspect?" Ask Dawn to make sure.

"Yes." Yeah." Maddie nodded steadily, "But I don't know for sure if he did. I'm afraid I'll give you names, and you'll catch people."

"That's why there's an investigation. All information, no matter how small, will help the investigation."

"His name is Richard Hartono."
