The Witness's
Chapter VIII

Gavin could only frown upon hearing Maddie's words. The night the man disappeared, Gavin was convinced his brother was at home. How could he have known the man was dead even before the police made the revelation? The woman has not even been found.

"Gue was the last person to see the missing person."

Gavin leaned against his back while twitching his head, "Where's the story?"

Maddie sighed softly, "What's his name?"

"Angelina Tatori."

And there's a story that starts with seeing the night star witness Angelina Tatori's abduction. A pretty strange coincidence considering from the start Maddie was sort of tied to Sophie's death when she suspected Richard Hartono. And now Angelina's abduction happened in front of Richard's house and he was a witness to the incident.

"We need to call the police." Gavin said quickly.

"No." Blame Maddie quick.

"Maddie.. It's a dangerous situation. If this psychopath finds out you saw him that night, your life will be threatened." Gavin pleaded with resignation. She doesn't want Maddie even her family why-why. "This is not a game, Maddie. It's real."

"That's what I mean by Vin.. If I report, our family will be threatened." Maddie began to raise her voice, then let out a slow breath, "We don't know who did it and don't know where she has been since."

Gavin let out a rough breath and let his eyes close for a moment, while scolding his head that began to hurt. There's no other way than to listen to Maddie, and Maddie has a point.

"We started at the beginning." Gavin sat down, trying to calm his mind, "Lo look at the culprit stopping in front of Om Richard's house, hiding behind the car as if he knew Angelina was going through"

"He knew Angelina was going to pass. It's not a coincidence."

"You suddenly become a detective anyway? I used to be Maddie."

Maddie snorted in annoyance before allowing Gavin to return to the story.

"After that he hit Angelina's head with something and put her body into a black avansa car, had no license plate, at twelve o'clock in the night, and entered her Green House Om Richard, which was the, then go out and bring something about the length of my arm."

Gavin wrote an outline that could help them for a while. At least they should be on guard from all those who have these traits.

The two brothers began to think of other ways. They can't see the cctv, they can't report it to the police while Angelina hasn't been found, later in case they're involved. Maddie decides to monitor the streets with Gavin next week after researching the timing of Sophie's body discovery and Angelina's disappearance. They were convinced that the person who killed the two women was the same person.

Maddie is looking forward to the day she and Gavin will be up all night just to make sure something bad doesn't happen again. It's been four days and there's still no word on Angelina. Maddie has concluded that tomorrow the poor woman was found then the perpetrator is the same person, considering Sophie was also found five days after disappearing. During lesson hours Maddie only stays in her Uncle's office, not intending to take lessons. The girl sighed softly when this case was very time consuming and attention.

As the break bell echoes in the school, Maddie decides to go out and buy some food. But just a few steps out look Zoe and Alis is cool bully a girl who is carrying a lot of books. He's Intan, Maddie's victim, too, before she herself stops bothering the girl.

"Soge away." Madelline interrupts Zoe and the Eyebrows. Intan is more down scared, afraid Maddie will also bother him.

"Gee.. The hypocritical friend came. How's Madelline Blake doing?" Sapa Zoe is full of sarcasm.

Zoe and Alis could only be astonished to see Maddie suddenly drive out Intan.

"Any possessed?" Sahut Eyebrow wonder.

Maddie still had a flat face and hugged her front chest hand, facing the still confused Zoe.

"Which girlfriend did I take, huh?"

The girl who had unraveled the black shoulder beside Eyebrow instead let out a small laugh before showing off a slanted smile, "Who say you snatch my girlfriend?"

"Say one school."

"Oh that.. That's all gossip." Reply Eyebrows indifferently.

"Gossip from your mouth." Maddie began to raise her voice, struggling with anger.

Zoe who realizes it is approaching Maddie, looks at the girl demeaningly, "Who would believe Maddie who likes to threaten and bully?"

"Gue believe." The three popular girls turned around. When he saw who said he trusted Maddie, the three girls became even more confused.

"Lo believes he's been bullied for the last 2 years?" Ask Zoe.

"Lo bego or what?" Add Eyebrows that are equally confused.

Now Zoe and Alis are walking towards Denada. The girl did not budge despite knowing Zoe and Eyebrow would do something. On the other hand Maddie is arguing inwardly. Does he have to defend Denada too or ignore him? He didn't want to look concerned, his prestige was too high.

Soon Leon arrives and pulls Denada, positioning the 3-year-old girl he's been dating right behind him. Maddie breathed a sigh of relief. At least Denada is safe.

wait, why do I care?

"Leon, bring your girlfriend before-"

Leon brushed off the raised hand of Eyebrow, pointing at Denada haughtily. Eyebrows flinched before returning to show off a look of anger.

"This is the first and last time you stuck your dirty finger in front of my girlfriend!"

Leon immediately pulled Denada away. And then Maddie exploded.

"Who do you think you are?" His screams began to attract attention.

"Most popular girl in school." Reply Zoe confidently.

Maddie just grumbled hearing that.

"Inget yeah.. Without me, you're nothing."

It's fact. Eyebrows and Zoe wouldn't be popular without Maddie. They only hitchhiked on the first day of school with the news that the school owner's nephew was there. They started to style and act like Maddie to attract her attention and it worked. Eyebrows and Zoe are indeed the children of rich people, circumstances alone that make them difficult to get along. And Maddie's the shortcut. Not only in school, but Alis and Zoe were famous in other schools even in the dance community of Gavin, because Maddie often visited Gavin in the company of Alis and Zoe.

"Lo who's nobody without us!"

Looking at the unaccepted Eyebrows, a wide smile was even imprinted on Maddie's face. That smile meant he knew his opponent was losing and was looking for all sorts of reasons to stay on top. Maddie really likes that.

"Don't fuck with me. You know what I can do, right? So if you still want to graduate quietly, stay away from me and Denada."

The two girls could only grumble in annoyance. If only they were in the 11th grade they might be expelled from school. But when it comes to exam classes, no school will accept them.
