We are Not Honey

We are Not Honey
Chapter 8. Flashback Part 4's

Kenan Hermawan's house looks very tense. Today, the entire family escorts Rayan, one of the sons of the homeowner to his final resting place.

Riyan Hermawan, a man who holds the title as a cardiologist and blood vessel doctor from one of the best universities in Germany, swung his step towards the bedroom of his twin sister. Leaving the living room that is still covered by so deep sorrow.

Rayan Hermawan, his sister who has suffered from heart disease since just born has returned to his lap. Leaving him and his family with grief and memories that increasingly make his chest tight. How not, the goal is to learn about the heart, because it wants to save his twin sister, however, the, look now even a doctor who is so respected as himself is not able to fight the time limit that has been recorded neatly in the far reaches of mahfuz.

Slowly and carefully, Riyan pushed open the door of her late twin sister's room. Tears immediately poured over, when entering the room was immediately presented by many prewedding photos of his twin sister with a girl he knew named Zahra.

Not because he knew her directly, but he knew all about her from her sister. Every time they talked about Rayan's health, her sister would turn the topic around and talk about the girl she loved named Zahra.

Riyan took her body, and sat on the edge of the bed so cold that the owner had just left the room today. Bedcover is white, in his swab gently like when he rubbed his sister's head when he could take time in the middle of his busy Berlin lecture.

"I'm sorry I didn't get to save you." Said slowly.

Moments later, the door he left open, was pushed from outside the room. A girl he had left in the living room was crying sadly in his mother's arms, now stepping into the room.

"Excuse me, Mas. I just wanted to take that picture frame for me to keep." Zahra's permission before stepping deeper into the room of her late husband-to-be.

Namira Zahra Maulida, the girl who was supposed to be the happiest bride in a few days, now has to strengthen her heart to take her future husband's departure to eternal life.

Riyan nodded.

Zahra stepped inside the luxurious room with such beautiful decorations. Her beautiful face was on almost every corner of the room. Carefully, with faint sobs and tears pouring down her swollen cheeks, Zahra began to drop one by one images of herself from inside the room.

Riyan went silent without a sound, while linking her hands.

"She's so pretty, Bang. I really want to take care of him. She's a good girl."

The words full of happiness that Rayan said a few months ago before his parents proposed to Zahra to the owner of the orphanage where the future wife of his late sister lived, keep dancing in her brain.

"If Zahra is not happy, then I will sue you before God."

Riyan was getting deeper. Tears also trickled out of the corner of his eyes when he heard the faint stuffing of the girl who was lowering some frames in the room. The closing sentence of his sister's age today, kept ringing in his head.

Zahra placed several picture frames in her arms, onto the bed where Riyan was sitting. After saying goodbye, Zahra went down to the lower floor where her future husband's family was. Also the owner of the orphanage where he lives is waiting for him.

Eliana looked at the astonished girl who was entering the living room where they were. The prospective daughter-in-law was said to take some picture frames in Rayan's room, to be made into memories. However, Zahra entered the room empty-handed.

"Where's the frame, son ?" Ask Eliana.

Zahra had not had time to answer the question of the prospective mother who canceled her mother, Riyan had stepped into the room while carrying some picture frames.

Eliana smiled. The middle-aged woman who still looks beautiful even with her eyes moist, couldn't help but smile when he saw his son not ignoring the girl who was desperately wanted by his other late son.

Riyan put the frame containing the picture of the late twin sister and her future sister-in-law on the sofa table, then brought her body to sit on the sofa in the room. For a moment he was silent, staring at Zahra who was bowing deeply.

"Iyan will marry Zahra, ma'am." Said Riyan sure.

Zahra immediately raised her head, then looked at the man who was also staring at her.

"Marriage preparation is ripe. The invitation has been spread. If this marriage won't go live, what will people say." Keep Riyan.

"No, you would never marry Zahra if the reason you married her was just because you wanted to keep the family's good name." Kenan. Indeed, he had considered Zahra like his daughter ever since she became an assistant nurse who looked after her late son. How will he meet his little son there, if Zahra will be hurt by a marriage that is in direct solely want to keep the good name of the family.

"Marriage is the longest worship in the life of a human being. There's a lot of merit available there, son. And Satan always does many things so that the marriage does not last long. Mom and Dad know you have someone you want. I just don't want Zahra to get hurt because of our family's good name." Obviously Kenan again.

Eliana nodded confirming the long sentence that had just blown from her husband's mouth. He did not want the girl, loved by his late son, to be harmed by another son.

"Iyan will marry her with the intention of worshiping God. There would be no one better to look after Zahra than Iyan, Mom." Her request. He did not want to feel more regret if later found Zahra unhappy with others.

Doesn't he just have to try to open his heart, and learn to love ? That's not a hard thing to do. Moreover, Zahra is one of the most meritorious people in taking care of her twin sister during life.

"I'm just asking for a chance to open my heart, and learn to love you like Rayan did all this time. It doesn't seem like a hard thing for you to give. Time, that's all I want from you, and I promise I'll do you good." Said Riyan again, this time while staring fixedly at Zahra's face.
