We are Not Honey

We are Not Honey
Chapter 9. Flashback Part 5's

A month had passed after Rayan's departure. In the end, her wedding plans with her late lover who had left, were canceled by the family because there was no answer from her about the offer of Riyan who wanted to marry her.

The night began to go. The time of the third night is the right time to use to complain to the almighty about the anxiety that makes us worried. After returning from the residence of his future in-laws, Zahra chose to remain silent in the room. Decades of time passed, drowsiness that he expected, still did not come to say hello. Until finally he chose to wash his body parts with ablution water and began his night prayer.

I don't know how much time he spent on the couch. The scriptures that always accompany his day, he has read a lot. The request of the man who was supposed to be his kaka-in-law this afternoon, still continued to dance in his mind.

However, the time is almost at the end of the night, maybe less than an hour later the morning adhan will reverberate, he said, and she still did not get the right answer from the request of the family of her future husband who has gone home this afternoon.

"Mas, what should I do ?" Ask after closing the scriptures that are on his lap. He embraced the holy book tightly.

Mukenah is ivory white, wet with tears that continue to flow by itself. Her cheeks were getting puffy, her eyes getting swollen from crying too much today.

"I'm sorry, Mom. Not because I didn't let you go, but where else am I looking for someone as good as you are in this world." Zahra rubbed her cheek again with a face.

Tok...

The knock on the door of his room kept Zahra awake. He realized that he was sleeping on the bed. Mukenah still wrapped his small body, he then moved from the top of the prayer mat on the floor of his room, then stepped towards the door to see who came.

"Mother ?" He said when he saw the mother of the orphanage was already standing in front of his room.

"Mom thinks you're asleep. Yes, continue your prayers, son." The middle-aged woman gently rubbed the head of her foster child, then immediately passed from there. Seeing his daughter's pitiful face was heartbreaking.

"Ara will receive an application from Mas Riyan, Mom." Said Zahra, and instantly held back the middle-aged woman's footsteps. "Mother would say, in addition to sustenance, the one we cannot refuse is the goodwill of others. Riyan is well-intentioned, isn't he, Mom ?" Connecting with glassy eyes.

To be honest, this is hard for her, but when she met her lover in her dream last night, this was the best decision she thought.

The mother who had been caring for Zahra since she was a child, turned back and took a quick step and took Zahra into her arms.

"We won't know where destiny will take us. But rest assured son, any good or bad destiny that comes from God, we must believe it. Surely God will give His best soul mate to His good people like you." Said the woman while rubbing Zahra's face-covered back.

Just like Zahra, Riyan was standing on her bedroom balcony with a cell phone that she kept tightly holding. Eager to contact someone who was in another building in this same city, however, he was at a loss where to start. Meisya was the only girl who occupied a special place in her heart, and she was at a loss to tell the girl what to say about her decision yesterday.

Riyan re-entered his bedroom and put the phone on the table without doing what he was supposed to do to someone who might be waiting to hear from him tonight. The man still in his pajamas stepped into the bathroom to clean himself up. A few moments later, the man was fresh out of the bathroom, and began to stretch out the prayer mat next to his luxurious bed.

Well, the place where to share the burden of the mind that feels heavy, is none other than to the almighty.

After holding a prayer rug on the floor, in a place where he used to perform obligations to the khalik, Riyan again stepped into the dressing room to change clothes.

While passing the bed, Riyan undoes his intention to the small room in his room, and first steps towards the nightstand beside the bed. One small frame on the nightstand, he grabbed it and took it into the dressing room.

After preparing, Riyan returned to the room and started his duties in the early hours of the morning.

Fix the intention, then God will make things easier. Intention well to anything, of course, all processes until the results later, will be improved by Him.

Marriage is not always about love, however, by marrying we will know if loving someone who is married is mandatory.

After the two rakaats he had tuned, Riyan was still so comfortable sitting on the prayer mat. The pale face that always smiled when he saw his return first, flashed back. This time he smiled, with tears flowing down his cheeks.

"I have nothing, Mom. I realize you deserve Mei better than me." The short sentence that was the cover of the complicated relationship between them first, again ringed in Riyan's ears.

In the past, Rayan let Mei to continue to be in a relationship with him, even though her sister also loved Meisya very much. And now, he decided to let go of the girl and decided to marry the girl his sister loved.

Riyan took a deep breath, to reduce the rumbling inside his chest. Meisya's happy face as she promised to marry the girl after successfully assuming the post of hospital leader, returned to her feet. He moved from the top of the prayer mat, then stepped towards the work desk in his room. Without thinking, he immediately contacted his girlfriend's mobile number, to tell all his decisions and end the story they had built together for years.

The call was connected, but the girl he was calling never picked up the call. Riyan looked at the time on her phone screen, then smiled guiltily. Meisya is still asleep. That girl was not a girl from a family like her.

Riyan put the phone back on his desk, and began to check all his work. Grief is still enveloping, but it cannot be denied if their lives must continue. The hospital, which is still led by his uncle, needs people who will take care of it later. So whatever the reason, he still has to live his life well, even without his twin sister.
