When The Sky Fall

When The Sky Fall
Chapter 15's

"Order table five!" screeched one of the chefs while putting the food on the table in front of him. Dance took the food and placed it on table number five. The restaurant where he worked was very busy. It's been two weeks since he came back to New York. Now she works at a restaurant in New York City on Marisol's recommendation of course. She had worked there before and moved to auntie Na Eun's boutique because she liked fashion. Look from the way Marisol dress different from others.

Dance again took the order from another table, recorded it in a small book that was brought and then the note paper he brought to the kitchen. The restaurant was not too big but the visitors were crowded, making Tari a little overwhelmed at first work. But now he's getting used to it.

Dance could not return to the boutique because the person she replaced had already re-entered. But he still works at the bar with Marisol.

"Order number two!"

The dance that was taking orders moved from her place but her co-worker, David, hinted that she would take the food. Dance nodded and smiled. Dance back pasting the pasanan near where the chef cooks. He looked towards the kitchen and found the dishwasher hoarding. Dance immediately went into the kitchen, put on her rubber gloves and started washing dishes.

During her return to New York, Tari never met Renald. Dari hears from Marissa, if Renald's company is in trouble and Renald is trying to deal with it. That's why he didn't come home. Of course, dance doesn't care. He will only work as hard as he can. It might take years to get that money back, at least he tried. He did not want to just give up on his fate.

"Are you okay?" marisol asked as they cleared the bar. "You look exhausted."

"I'm doing fine. Maybe my body is still surprised to work in a restaurant. But I'm fine." replied Tari. Dance back to drink.

Marisol is still watching Dance. Yeah, he looks so exhausted. A job at a restaurant that drains his energy. But Dari never complained about it. He never complained about anything. Marisol is frustrated to know what Dari is thinking and feeling. Maybe he can help. But how can it help if he doesn't know anything.

...***...

Wake up early as usual. Today his body ached from head to toe. But he forced his body to move and went to work. Dance put her foot on the dining table. But his steps stopped suddenly. Renald was there drinking coffee and staring at his phone.

"He's already here? But it's still.."

Dance stared at her watch. It's still sixty-thirty but he's already at the dinner table? He usually has breakfast at half-eight.

"Sound.. Did he just come? Ahh what do I care!"

Dance walked to the dinner table, picked up an apple and left. All of that was witnessed by Renald who now frowned.

"Is he used to not having breakfast?" ask Anne and Marissa Renald. Anne tells Marissa to follow Dance.

"Mrs! Madam!" call Marissa. Dance stopped her steps.

"What's wrong with you? Is there a problem?" tanya Dance. " Didn't I tell you not to call me madam? Come on, we both know I'm not the mistress here."

"I'm sorry, miss. Signore... Master asked you for breakfast."

"I had breakfast. It's." The dance shows the apple he has eaten half.

"But it's not-"

"No! My breakfast. Tell him I've had breakfast. I'm leaving." Dance stepped back while waving her hand at Marissa.

Marissa quickly returned to the dining table and informed Renald of the Dance's words.

"So you mean... Is that apple breakfast? Not five apples but one apple?" ask Renald. Marissa did not answer. Just down. Renald breathed a rough sigh. "Change the breakfast menu from tomorrow and it should be available at sixty-thirty right!" Renald threw his napkin at the table and left. Marissa and Anne looked at each other. They know it's not the breakfast menu that's a problem but the presence of Renald. Dance always has breakfast before you go. Whether it's milk or bread, or just eggs and beacons, or sometimes fried rice cooking dance. But today it's just an apple. The problem is not on the menu, right?

The next day was the same, Renald was already at the dinner table at the same hour. Dari thought maybe she should turn her breakfast back to six o'clock just like she used to. Back when he was working at the boutique, he had breakfast at six o'clock precisely because the location of the boutique was a bit far from home. The restaurant is closer.

Dance had to pick up another apple and leave.

"Wait." Renald's baritone voice was clearly heard in Tari's ear, making him stop his steps.

"What else do you want this guy!" Dance grunting.

"You should have breakfast" Renald said. Dance still stood behind him.

"Why is he taking care of my breakfast now?!"

Dance sighed and then turned around. He showed Renald an apple. "This is my breakfast" said Tari. As he wanted to turn his body around, Renald spoke again.

"Does anyone have breakfast with just an apple?" ask Renald again.

"There was. I'm. It's." Dance returned to her apple and left.

Renald breathed. "He's so stubborn." he murmured.

...***...

"This is the item you asked Mr. Calleger and the file you asked for I've emailed" said the beautiful woman standing in front of Alex's desk. Alex just turned to the woman for a second and went back to her laptop. The woman tries to get Alex's attention. The woman pulled down the top of the top of the pay*d*r* it looked perfectly round and she also pulled her hair back, so that the pay*d*r* was clearly visible.

"Thank you, Miss Lambert and you can leave" Alex said without looking at the woman. The woman left with a pang of annoyance on her face.

"It seems to be true, he's gay!"

That's what many office people believe. Alex is gay. Alex gay? Of course not. He is normal, even normal. He just stopped looking for a lover five years ago. Her crazy work makes it hard to be able to have a lover. He has a boss who is workaholic, grumpy, stiff and... It's hard to guess. She tries to hang on to her past relationship, but she finds her lover cheating on her with another man. Well he can't blame his girlfriend and doesn't want to blame her. She blames her always busy self that makes her lover lonely. He refused to have another lover.

Alex stood up and knocked on Renald's office door.

"Get in" said Renald. Alex opened the door. He walked over to Renald's desk.

"This is the car key you requested. The car's already in the parking lot." Alex put the key on the table.

"Hm.. Thank ye. Uhh!! Just take her to my house. Get Alan."

"Good sir." Alex took the key back and left.

"Alex." call Renald.

"Yes sir?" Alex turned around and looked at Renald.

"Tell me. Does anyone have breakfast with just one apple?" ask Ranald.

"There, if he's on a diet."

Renald frowned. "Diets? A body that big?"

"Areally who do you mean?" ask Alex.

"Oh that-"

"Hi Ren!!" a small screech made the two handsome men turn their heads.

"Ve?" Renald was surprised. "What are you here for?"

"I'll excuse you sir." Alex pamit's.

"Byee Alex's.. You're getting good-looking." teased Veronica. Alex just stumbled and walked past Veronica. Veronica walked sweetly towards Renald who was still sitting in his chair.

"I miss you, baby." Veronica tried to hug Renald. Renald held Veronica's hand.

"You stink of alcohol and we break up Ve, remember? You decide me." Renald said in a soft tone of voice. Doesn't look like a man who has broken up with his lover.

"I have to work, Ve. I have a meeting."

"You and your work! It's hard to separate. You didn't even ask me why I got drunk so early." Veronica folded her hands in front of her chest and folded her legs.

"Then say, immediately. I'm busy." Renald said without seeing Veronica. He read the writing on the paper he was holding.

"My family. They're annoying. Always asking me for money. I'm like a dairy cow. Hey, did you hear me?!"

"I heard Ve. I didn't see you but my ears are still functioning perfectly. And just get out of that house. Find your own home. The apartment? What trouble? We've already talked about this."

"But you know I can't do that. They were my only family and I was my first child. So then.. When are you going to marry me?"

Renald stood up from his seat. He took his suit and put it on while saying

"First tell your sister to work. She was already twenty-seven years old but she was still unemployed and could only have fun. I understand if your father, he's old. But not your sister."

"But he-"

"Second, you don't want me to marry, remember? You rejected me. And third, I need a meeting. Go, I'll be long."

Renald left his office.

"You won't take the curse, because we broke up?"

Renald stopped his steps and looked at Veronica.

"You can use it and save. Don't spoil your family constantly" he said and walked back. Veronica smiled and followed Renald out of her office.

"I love you, Renald!!" his screeches. Renald just shook his head.

"Where are you going?" ask Randy who just came.

"Meeting. Why?"

"You're talking about a new project."

"I'll call you after the meeting." Renald patted Randy's arm slowly and walked past him. Randy just nodded.

"Hi Ran.." said Veronica. He walked up to Randy.

"I didn't see you there. I'm gone." said Randy and turned around but Veronica held his arm.

"Where are you going?"

"Back to my office. I got a lot of work" Randy said a little coldly.

"You are just as boring. What if we had fun? Come onl... You used to have fun with me." - teased Veronica.

"No, I don't want to." Randy brushes Veronica's hand.

"Come on... Don't be cold to me..hm?" persuade Veronica. Randy smiled.

"No, thank you. Have fun with you... It's boring." Randy again walks away leaving the surly Veronica. The two handsome men in her god rejected her. He had never been rejected before. It sucks!

...***...

The same days happen at breakfast. It seems like Renald does want Dance to diet in the morning. Dance back to pick up the apple and leave immediately.

"Wait." Renald's baritone voice again stopped Dance's steps.

"Ugghhhh what else would this cockroach man want?!"

Dance grunted angrily and then looked over. He was surprised to find Renald already standing next to him.

"Well? Why is he suddenly here?"

Dari stared at Renald from top to bottom in turn.

"It." Renald puts a glass of milk on Dance. Dari stared at the glass for a moment and then looked at Renald.

"Why about that?"

"Don't you know what to do?" ask Renald.

"Bu--I mean for what I have to mi-"

Renald took Tari's hand and put the glass in her hand.

"Drink." she asked.

"After drinking I can go right? Without being called again? Huh! How troublesome!"

Dance drink the milk until it runs out without pause.

"Easy?" he said while wiping his mouth.

"Stop working" Renald said suddenly. Dance surprised.

"Huh? What's?"

"What is your hobby of making people say things over and over again?"

"Why should I stop?" tanya Dari was confused. He felt he had done nothing wrong and had never troubled him with his work. Then he was told to stop?

"Because it would ruin my name." Renald made Tari dumb. What did he say?

"Ahh wait, what does your name have to do with me working, exactly?"

"What if my colleague, my partner's business, or my friend sees you? Didn't it ruin my name that's his name?"

"Wait, which friend? Those three friends? Don't they know how we are? Anyway, colleague? Parner's business? They don't even know me! Ever seen me not. If I stood in the middle of them, they wouldn't recognize me as your paper wife!"

Renald rounded his eyes and hardened his jaw. This woman in front of him was stubborn.

"Stop from your job!" Renald is gone.

"Hey!" A small running dance chased after Renald and stood right in front of him. "Regardless of what reason I work, it's my personal business, my privacy. I never took care of and interfered with your personal affairs. So don't ever interfere in my business. You have no right. Especially with all that bullshit!"

Dance turned and left. He didn't want to argue with all the bullshit Renald said.
