When The Sky Fall

When The Sky Fall
Chapter 41's

Renald tried to attract the attention of Dance. Trying to convince herself that what Dari thought was not right. But Dance, she's away as far as she can. Of course, if it was close to Renald, he was afraid, his feelings would be shaken again. Yes, just moments before Veronica died, Renald's treatment made her feel unshakable. He admitted it. But eventually his heart returns pessimistic, that he will never be able to defeat Renald's first love.

Moreover, Renald's attitude seems to make him a replacement for Veronica. He bought her and gave her all the things that Veronica liked. Even the brand and color! Of course, Dari refused.

"So you're gonna give up?" ask Ted. They just finished a meeting about the progress of their project in Randy's office.

"Hell no! It never will. Just chill. I'm just out of ideas." Renald exhaled his coarse breath. James and Ted laughed.

"And he doesn't even care." Renald rubbed his face rough.

"Obviously he doesn't care." this time it was Randy. "You treated her like you treated Veronica. Of course he doesn't like it because he's not Veronica. You can't just level them."

"Gosh you did it?!" screeches James.

"Shall you scream like that?" Renald grunting. James laughed again. "Then what should I do? I just want to make her happy!"

"If with Veronica, certainly with money and luxury and expensive items, that's a great way. But not with dance. Dance isn't a money-loving woman like Veronica" Randy says.

"Where do you know that?" ask James.

"Didn't Renald ever tell you about a credit card he never used? From there I knew he was different."

"You really know about a lot of women. Is that why you want to marry her?" ask James again.

"Of course."

"What did you say?" Renald was getting upset.

"Hey, women like Dance are rare. Hard to find. Most women today are pathetic. One level with Veronica."

"Hey, Ran. Vero is dead. Don't call it that" James said.

"I'm just telling you the truth. If Renald can't make him happy with whatever he's doing, I'll move on. I'll try it. He deserves to be happy with me or the other. Am I wrong?" Randy defended himself.

"No, you're not wrong" replied Ted. "He deserves that."

"Because of that, I've been quiet all this time. Because you're my friend, Ren. We were friends from childhood. But if you can't make her fall in love, you have to give in."

Renald stared meaningfully at Randy. But he didn't look upset or angry. He knows Randy was right. Only, he would not be able to see Dance end up with someone else. Yeah, he's selfish, he knows it.

...***...

Dancing sitting pensively on the subway. He should have picked up Renald but today he came home early from the bar because the bar owner wanted to use the bar for a private event. So all his employees are returned. That's why here is Dance, sitting in silence.

Brakk!!

One young girl fell. He collided with a black man. The man helped the girl stand up but Dari noticed that there was a strange gurgle from the man. He secretly ripped off the bag that the girl was wearing. His movements are very fast. It is almost invisible so it is not realized by the owner. The thief took the girl's cell phone and wallet. No one noticed except Dance. The girl just plainly apologized to the man earlier.

"Wait" said Tari. "Please return the wallet and phone you stole."

"What do you mean, lady? Don't be so reckless!" the man stared dislikefully.

"I saw it myself, sir. You ripped off this lady's bag and took the phone and the lady's wallet." said Tari.

"Based on a crazy woman!" maki the man then wanted to leave. Dance quickly prevented it.

"Give back her wallet and phone first." urged Tari.

"What are you talking about?! I'm not stealing!" the man tried to pull over Dari's hand, making Tari almost fall. But Tari managed to hold on.

"Miss, check your bag" Tari told the young girl who was helped by the man. The dumb-assed girl saw the dispute between Tari and the man, directly checking her bag.

"T-bag.. My bag.." the girl was surprised to find her bag torn.

"show? Miss's bag is ripped. Now give me back the wallet and the phone!" dance Pinta again. The man is rebelling. He brushed away the rough dance until it fell on the cold subway floor.

"Hey, sir. That's not the way to treat women" said a young man wearing a light brown long coat and suit.

"Don't interfere!" said the man half-shouting.

"I didn't want to interfere at first. But seeing you babysitting that girl, it's unacceptable. If you're not wrong or don't take anything, you don't have to be this angry" said the man calmly.

"Hey! He's accusing me. Of course I'm mad!" the man turned away in anger. His eyeballs look like they're coming out of his shell.

"Then let us check you out first."

"No, it won't. Is it because I'm black so you guys discriminate against me?!" the man shouted louder and louder.

"Ohh calm down, sir. We just want to make sure this lady's accusation is wrong." the man explained.

"No! I'm going!"

"If you go, this lady's accusation means right."

The man was silent for a moment then suddenly pushed the man's body away and fled. The man in the suit pulled the jacket the thief man was wearing and pulled him back. The thief took a few steps back and fell down because he lost his balance. The man in the suit flipped over the body of the thief man, locked his hands and held his body.

"Dave, check on him!" said the man in the suit to his friend who had just been staring at his face. The man's friend immediately examined the thief man's body and sure enough. He found several cell phones and wallets in his jacket pocket.

"There's Den" said the man named Ed.

"show? You stole it." said the man in the suit. Before long comes some cops and secures the thief man. Dari and the two men who helped her testified to the police. The police returned the stolen item to the girl and took the thief away.

"Are you okay?" ask the girl Dance. "Check, who knows something's missing."

"That's not the case" said the girl in a soft voice and head lowered.

"Hm?"

"I don't care if my wallet or my phone is stolen. I don't have a problem. It costs nothing but my bag! My precious bag is broken!" the girl looked sad.

"T-bag?"

Dance still silently looked at the girl. He was still processing the words that the younger-looking girl had spoken. The girl was blond with her pretty blue eyes.

"You... It's okay, right?" tanya Dance. "I mean... Are you hurt?"

"No, I'm fine. But my bag is not!" the girl was still lamenting her bag. Dance smiled slightly and massaged her forehead.

"Are you both okay?" ask the man in the suit who helped her earlier. Dance looked over and looked at the man. The man was very handsome with a fitting suit on his body and neatly combed brown hair.

"We're doing fine. Thanks for the help" said Tari.

"No problem, lady" said the man.

"My train's coming, I'm leaving first" Tari told the girl. But the girl held him back.

"Where are you? Help me." Help me."

"Help?"

"Help me to an address. I-i didn't... I mean I know the way, it's just... I can't go there" said the girl.

"Ahh.. What about a taxi?" tanya Dance.

"Taxi?"

"Yes Taxi. Taxis can quickly get you to your destination, right away."

"really? I don't know that." The girl seemed to think.

"He didn't know a taxi could take him? What era is he actually living in?" think Dance.

"Come, we're going" said the girl. He pulled the hand of Dance. He saw the two men who helped him earlier still standing nearby.

"I'm sorry and thank you very much." said Tari on the sidelines of her steps.

"Dave, did we ever meet that girl?" ask Aiden.

"Which one?"

"Yes.. Looks more mature and has black hair."

"Can't remember. But he's very familiar. Can we go? Our train has arrived. Somehow you choose to use the train when you can use a taxi." Dave scolded and left.

"Hey, I just want to take a walk once in a while." Aiden followed Dave by occasionally looking outwards.

"Where are we going?" tanya Tari when they were on the side of the road. They keep walking somewhere.

"Searching taxis. But I didn't find it."

"Uhmmm taxi.. It's there." Dance pointed to one taxi passing them. The girl stopped her steps suddenly.

"Where? Where's?" the girl was drowning. Dance pulled the girl's hand to the side of the road and called a taxi. A taxi stopped in front of them. Dance opened the car door.

"Come in." said Tari.

"Within? All right." the girl got into the cab. Bowing dance.

"Just give the address you are going to to the taxi driver. He'll deliver you." Dance said to the girl.

"Are you not coming? Come, I beg you." ask the girl. "I'm afraid of being alone."

Dance sighed. Maybe he could go home in this taxi, he thought.

"All right" said Tari and went inside. The girl smiled happily. "Give the address to the cab driver."

"Ahh right. These. To that address sir." said the girl as she handed him a piece of paper.

"Okay" said the driver and ran the car.

"I'm sorry, it's been a hassle" said the girl.

"No problem. But how do you trust me?" tanya Dance.

"Why not? You look like a good guy, no, very good. So I believe you."

"Just like that?" tanya Tari doesn't believe.

"Just like that. You even helped me catch the thief. Huh! I'm still pissed my bag's broken. It's a limited edition! I wear it to meet my lover."

"Ahhh so that address is your lover's address?"

The girl nodded and smiled widely. "Yes, sweetheart. I hope."

"You wish?"

"I've loved him since I was a kid and I think he likes me too. If we like each other that means we're lovers, right?" ask the girl.

"Oh uhmm.... Maybe?"

"I've loved her since childhood." the girl seemed to sparkle when she told me about her lover. "Ah my name is Brittany."

"I'm Dance."

The car drove to the address. Dari thought, after this, he would just go home using this taxi.

But the taxi stopped in front of the house which made Tari gawk successfully. That house was the old mansion he used to live in with Renald. Wait, so the lover he was referring to was...
