When The Sky Fall

When The Sky Fall
Chapter 21's

After the incident everyone was lined up neatly early that morning by Renald, everyone's attitude became changed, drastically. Everyone was being very polite to Dance. Thats odd. Whether waitress, chef, driver, bodyguard or even gardener usually take a relaxed attitude to Dance and to be honest, Dance likes that relaxed attitude. His overly formal attitude was very uncomfortable. Dance knows herself too. He's a nobody. Just a wife on paper. There was no way he would expect such a special treatment.

But this time it's different. They bowed respectfully, calling her mistress carefully, not even allowing Tari to do anything despite only making provisions herself. Dance should also use a driver and a private car if going to work and accompanied by a Bodyguard. Marissa, who is usually cheerful and often tells her stories, turns stiff and very polite. So early in the morning before leaving for work, Tari forced Marissa to tell him what was really going on.

"Do you really not want to tell me?" insist Dance. He asks Marissa to tell him a story, but Marissa is silent. Dance grunting. Yeah, I want to swear. What the hell is it?

"I'm afraid.. You'll be mad, miss." said Marissa. "Later we'll be fired." Marissa lowered her head. Dance nodded.

"alright. Well, then." Dance grabbed her provisions and left. Marissa really can't act like she used to because she knows Renald wasn't just threatening that morning. Renald was known to be temperamental but he always kept his word. Therefore Marisol and the others were quite afraid.

Dance walked through the open car door waiting for her. The driver and bodyguard assigned to him were shocked and confused. They quickly caught up with Tari and persuaded her. Of course Tari, with a face more fierce than Renald, refused him. Enough to be the lady of the house. It really makes people feel uncomfortable!

Eventually the driver relented and Tari left for work as usual, but was followed by a bodyguard. It feels like an artist or an important person. Even if he asked others on the subway, he was sure that no one knew him. It's really going to be crazy!

Tari would like to ask Renald for an explanation. He wants to get an answer from Marissa but he can't, so he'll get the answer from Renald himself. Hate dance must be faced with an uncomfortable situation. That's why it has to end.

Dance deliberately asked for permission to go home early at restaurants and bars. To get home early and ask Renald. But when he opened the entrance, he was confronted by the quarrel of two lovebirds, Renald and Victoria. They both looked solemn and full of emotion while Alfred just stood still at the end of the room. Their words came to a halt when they saw Dance coming. Unwilling to get involved, Tari walked quickly past them without even looking at them in the slightest. Whatever, they want to fight, jam-jambak or make love there. Just don't involve me! Big no's!

...***...

"So how?" ask Marisol the next night at the bar.

"How's what?" tanya Dance back.

"Do you know why everyone is nice to you?" ask Marisol again. Dari decided to tell me everything. Even the reason it works and others.

"I don't know. Early in the morning they kissed in the living room. Uggh... It's disgusting." Shudder dance.

"So... The woman stayed over? Any more? Gee whiz... Your husband's really gone crazy." Marisol shook her head quickly.

"He and the woman. Much the same. Because it's. I'd love to pay off that debt and leave."

"I support you, mi amor. I support one hundred percent!" Marisol patted Dari's back slowly.

"Sorry.." One man was already standing in front of them. The man was wearing a black shirt with neatly combed blonde hair. Symmetrical face with a child's nose.

"Yes?" answer Dance.

"May I have a drink?" ask the man again.

"Of course, of course. What message do you want?" ask Dance again.

"What's the best?"

"Uhmmm I guess it depends on each other's choice."

"Then, what's the best-selling? Forgive me for asking too much, just the first time here." said the man with a sweet smile on his face.

"No problem. So the most common in message-"

"No, no. Just look. Make me the drink you think is best." ask the man. Dance was silent for a moment.

"Ahh.." That's all he could say. "Wait a minute."

Dance began to concentrate on concocting drinks. He has done it many times so he has memorized the right way and concoction. Before long the alcohol was ready. Dance handed it to the man earlier.

"I don't know if the drink will suit your taste" said Tari. The man drank it. He then nodded and drank a sip.

"It's delicious. Really!" praise the man. Smiling dance.

"Thank you." Dance bit her lower lip, her face blushed.

"I want that drink too" said Randy, who had just sat there. The look on Dance's face changed instantly.

"I'm sorry, sir but this drink is special to this master" said Tari very politely.

Randy looked in wonder. "Seriously? You're gonna do that?" randy asked to see a change in dance attitude. Dance only shrugged her shoulders.

"I'll make you a drink, sir" said Marisol.

"But I want that one." Randy pointed at the drink in front of the man sitting next to him.

"Not Available, sorry" said Tari. Randy grunts. He knows Dance is lying. Dari just mix it up but Tari does not want to mix it for Randy.

"Please very much." Randy clucked.

"It seems like it's my lucky day. Sorry." the man raised his drink glass. Randy smiled.

"Enjoy your lucky day." They both chuckled.

"This is your drink, handsome sir" said Marisol, handing over the drink.

"Thank you, mi amor." said Randy teasingly. Marisol smiled then brushed off the air in front of her.

"Why are you here again? Isn't he bored? I'm just tired of seeing you continue." said Tari while making another drink.

"I... Just tired, need some entertainment. Maybe a little laugh. I know this is the best place."

Dance stared in disbelief. "Bah... You really think of me as a clown."

"Not a clown of course. But a pretty clown." Renald smiled sweetly.

"Marisol, do we still have rat poison?" tanya Tari while sticking a knife to cut the lemon on a small cutting board. He squinted his eyes.

"Whoaa is so fierce" said Randy, raising both hands.

"Oh no, no... Don't do it." said Marisol, carrying away her knife and talent. "Don't sacrifice yourself for a handsome man. Not for the second time. They're nuts. Just ignore it."

Randy and the man laughed. They introduce each other and end up engaging in conversations about business and work and of course.. Womens. You guys!

Cell Phone Dance vibrates. He opened his phone. Dari was silent staring at her phone screen. He let out a long sigh and ended up keeping his phone in his pocket.

"Are you okay?" ask Randy who caught him daydreaming.

"Hm? Ahhe... I'm good," replied Tari.

"Visibly... Not so good." Randy looked at Dance's face. Little smiling dance.

"Then, answer my question. What's your college major? Sorry, maybe you didn't go to college. I'm sorry if it's presumptuous." said Randy suddenly.

"No need to apologize. Business management." replied Dance who looked confused.

"Goodle. Then work for me."

"Huh??"

"You need a better job. Not that I meant to say your job is not good. It's just, it would be better if you work just one job. You enter the qualification. We needyou. I need you."

"There are still many professionals from me, Ran. Better find them."

"Do you underestimate yourself?" ask Randy.

"No, I feel like you need professionals like them."

"Don't think of them, just think of yourself." Randy gave me his card. Dance took the business card. "We're friends, I should have known your phone number, but I gave you my business card instead. Call me if you change your mind. Or maybe... Be bored. I'll go first."

"So fast??" marisol half shouted. Dari shook her head looking at Marisol. "I think he's right. Why not accept it? Sorry I heard your conversation."

"No problem, Marisol. L'm... I don't know I just don't want to bother people."

"Dance, listen. You're independent, you're strong, that's good. Sometimes you have to ask others for help. Can't just try it alone. And this is a good opportunity. First you work in a nice office, I'm sure of it. Second, you only work in one place and third, you can quickly pay off your debt to your husband. That needs to be considered."

"Yes, I know that."

"Don't tell me you feel bad for your husband."

"Well... A tad? He also offered to work at his company."

"Your husband?" Marisol surprised.

"Hm.. She's."

"What a suprise! Then?"

"I refuse of course. I'm not comfortable with one house with him and then in addition to one office anyway? No, thank you. I could die young." Dance shook her head quickly.

"Then accept Randy. Your discomfort can be used as an excuse." persuaded Marisol.

"I'll think about it, okay?"

"OKAY. But I need to tell you. I'll stop here" Marisol said. She felt bad leaving Tari.

"What's? Why?" Dance surprised.

"You know. I'm very into fashion. I really like fashion. Therefore while working in a boutique, I will learn about fashion. I've enrolled in fashion school."

"really? Ohh that's good... I'm so happy for you." Dari hugged Marisol for a moment and then let go. "Then.... When did you get out?"

"My school starts next week. So then... This week is my last day."

"Welcome forward."

"thank you. And I hope you too. Forget your fucking husband. He said you can do anything, right? Then work with Randy. Find a good experience there. Most of all, your debt is paid off."

"I told you, I'm considering it."

"Don't take too long."

Dance smiled and nodded. "All right."

...***...

Dance parted ways with Marisol. Marisol picked up her lover while Tari picked up her driver. Dance actually prefers taking a taxi. The driver was waiting in front of the bar.

"Dance." call someone when Tari gets in the car. Dance turned. Veronica smiled then waved her hand at Dance. Dance was surprised. What's he doing here?

The dance runs towards Veronica.

"Hi.." greet Dance with a clumsy smile.

"Want me to take you?" ask Veronica kindly.

"Uhmm no." Dance pointed to the car that will be in his vehicle. "Thank you for the offer."

"certain. Renalds. He's too protective, isn't he?"

"Uhmmm... I don't know.. I don't know."

"Oh come on don't pretend not to know. Just look at him sending the car along with the driver and bodyguard. He's protective of you."

Little laughing dance. "I think it's more about watching me than being protective. He's watching me so I don't do anything that defames him."

Veronica stared meaningfully. "Anyway's... I'll just go straight. Please don't get too close to him."

"I? Too close? With Renald? Is it not wrong?" Dance frowned.

"Are you going to pretend to be naive too? He's throwing a party for you, he's going to Korea for you, even now he's protective of you. Is there anything I don't know?"

Dance stared in disbelief. "Ask him. Why ask me? Isn't she your lover? And let me reiterate you. I'm not even close to her." she said.

"Then divorce her!" Veronica looked at Dance as if she was a disgusting insect.

"Tell him that too. Tell me to divorce me. I will be happy to divorce her. I don't need the treasure. All I want is to get divorced from him. So I beg you, very much, please ask him to divorce me. I'll be very grateful to you."

Veronica laughed mockingly. "Didn't you like it? Come on, don't be a hypocrite. He's handsome and rich. Don't forget the hot. Everybody wants it."

"Yes, right. Everybody is. Except me. I'd rather go back to my old life than here. Come on, this marriage is not entirely my fault. I deserve to be happy. Then you think I'm happy? Looking for money by working hard like a madman just to pay my debt to get me out of it? Is that what you think about me liking it? No thank you. I'd rather get divorced from him. And please, ask him. I beg you."

Dance back to her car and get inside. He didn't want to argue anymore especially if it was about Renald. He liked? Of course not. She used to love it but it died when she knew what her marriage really meant.
