When The Sky Fall

When The Sky Fall
Chapter 32's

Dance stood still. He did not return his embrace. Just listening to Renald's heavy breath and smelling the pungent smell of alcohol on his body.

"Ren, I think it's enough" said Tari. A few minutes had passed and Renald was still hugging him. Renald moved and let go of his hugging. Renald looked down for a moment and looked at Dari. This was the first time that Dari had clearly looked at her. Usually only from afar or when illumination is inadequate. Renald's eyeballs are blue to gray, with a pointed nose, thin whiskers and a thin beard covering his stern jaw. Renald looked at Tari with a sad look that made Tari wonder in her heart. What's wrong with her?

Renald walked away from Tari and entered the mansion. Dari stared at Renald's wide back until she was lost from his sight. Something seems to be happening, he thought. The next second he dismissed his thoughts about Renald. He can't think about it.

Renald hasn't been out of his room all day. And strangely it made Dance worried. If her appearance was not that sad, maybe Tari would not worry. Dance sighed a few times. He sat at the table playing his food.

"Miss, you... All right?" ask Marissa.

"Hm? I'm kind. What about your master? Is she okay? Didn't you guys check it out?" tanya Dance.

"There's Mr. Alfred taking care of it, miss." replied Marissa.

"Yes, that's right." Dance nodded her head. Dance bribed food into her mouth. I don't know why he's not feeling.

......***......

The next morning after breakfast, the dance departed. He met Renald who was preparing. She's fine, good, thought Tari. He only looked at Renald for a moment and left without saying anything. Renald stared at Tari's feet as well without saying anything.

"Marissa." call Renald. Marissa came to her master.

"Yes sir?"

"Has his leg healed?" ask Renald. Marissa who understood who Renald meant, nodded.

"It's starting to heal, sir. Only occasionally the pain. And the lady also routinely gave him medicine." Marissa explained.

"Miss?" Renald frowned.

"A-ah.. Ahhe.. I mean madam." Marissa lowered her head deeply.

"I don't care what he says, you should call him madam. She's my wife. Youunderstand? Once again I hear it, you will I fire and I can make sure you will not be able to get a job in this city, let alone among the rich! You know very well I would do that and can do that. You understand?!"

"Ba-good p-pak..." Marissa lowered her head and body. Renald snorted then immediately went to the dining table.

Yes, Marissa knows very well the habits of her employer. Her employer never just threatens her, but always does what she says, whatever it is. Once a servant messed up in this house and Renald put it on the black list, which made it not accepted by all houses both among the rich and below. Marissa certainly didn't want that to happen to her.

Cell phone ring Dance sounded. Dance looked at the name on her phone and then frowned. Youngest sister.

"Hello?"

"Assalamualaikum. It's Adit." It's Adit."

"Yes, waalaikumsalam says. Tumben you called. I can do it."

"Adit wants to tell me something, brother. But don't be surprised, brother."

"Kabari what? Papa's sick again? Pain relapsing?"

"No brother. That's not. Papa's... Papa died, brother."

Seemed in a lightning strike, Dance froze.

"Ja-jang is joking, Dit. Not funny." said Tari in a trembling voice.

"Adit, no kidding. Papa died, brother. Papa's having a heart attack."

Speechless dance. He doesn't know what to say. The news surprised him too much.

"What should I do, brother?"

"Y-yes.. Yes Dit, you calm down. Mama! Mother where?" tanya Dance. His voice was trembling.

"Mother is taking care of the return of my father's body from the hospital, sis."

"Hm.. If.. Then, you report RT sir and... And.. Ask for help for... To take care of dad's body. Older brother... My brother will send money... To... To take care of dad's body." Dance's voice was stamped. Her tears began to fall.

"Non't you come here?"

"Kesana. But.. But it takes time. You know a trip from here to there is enough.. Pretty long. So don't wait for brother. Immediately buried. Okay well? You hear brother?"

"Sister horrors."

"What's really going on. Why suddenly?"

"Adit doesn't know either. When Adit came home, his mother was no more. Adit went to papa's room to check on his condition but when Adit called, he did not answer and his body was cold. So Adit took her to the hospital. Papa's doctor said he was dead and caused by a heart attack."

"Where is mom?"

"Adit doesn't know, brother. Mom always goes out with her friends. Everyday usually. Dad was always alone. It's just Adit if Adit comes home."

Dance clenched her hands. Very much his stepmother.

"Yes, already. You did what you told me. Don't wait brother. Brother ask for a photo later. Youunderstand?"

"Good brother. I'm closing up, brother."

"Hm... Careful."

"Assalamualaikum sis."

"Getishalight."

Dance shut her phone. He was crying in the car until the driver looked at him from the glass. He never thought how his mother could leave his father alone. Dance squeezed her phone. He sent some money to his brother to take care of his father's funeral. He also booked a plane ticket leaving in two hours. Tari also sends money to her other sister who is studying outside the city, in order to go home to help Adit. No matter if his savings run out or he will work hard again later. Most importantly, he had to go home.

"Sir, please go back home." tari asked the driver in a voice shaking from crying.

"A little while until the lady. Is there anything left? Let me take the lady later."

"No! Just go home."

The driver turned the car around and went back home. At home, Tari has not seen the car that used to bring Renald to the office is no longer there. Dance went straight into her room and cleaned up her clothes. Any clothes she can carry with her other items. He doesn't want to waste time. Don't forget he told his division manager, Dwaine.

"I'm sorry sir. But before that I had finished my work that you gave me the other day. It's on the report's father's desk."

"I've accepted it."

"I'm sorry sir. I know it's impromptu and I haven't even spent a year here but I've had too many permits."

"It's good if you know."

"I don't care if you fire me. Because I was wrong."

"There's nothing wrong and I don't have to fire you because it's an impromptu disaster. Not planned, especially your parents. Go, let me tell Randy."

"Okay sir, thank you."

Dari hung up her phone and breathed a sigh of relief. It's all done. He dragged his suitcase downstairs. He tried to hold back his tears. He had to leave immediately rather than just cry over his papa's death. He wanted to see his face for the last time. But the distance was currently so far away and he did not want his father to be derelict just like that to wait for him. His father must be buried immediately.

"Mrs-lady... What are you doing?" asked Anne who was surprised to see Dari carrying a large suitcase.

"I have to go back to Indonesia. My father died."

"Oh madam... I'm so sorry." said Anne. He also looked surprised and concerned. "Are you okay, miss?"

"good. L'm... I don't know, I'm not good, Anne. I have to go." Dance hugging Anne and Marissa alternately.

" Do you know, madam?" ask Alfred. Dance looked at Alfred for a moment. All this old man cares about is Renald and Renald. So annoying!

"Lord told him, I'm too late. Excuse me." Dance dragged her suitcase towards the car. The Dance driver was surprised.

"Mistress?"

"Please take me to the airport. I have to get on the plane." Pinta Tari.

"But... But mr--"

"Now or I'll take a cab!" tengas Dance.

"Good madam."

The driver stuffed her suitcase into the trunk and drove the car straight to the airport.

...***...

"Building has started and there are no obstacles. The building materials have been delivered and the quality is very good. I'm the one who checked it out myself." said Randy.

"Our money is fine until now. Good entry." said Ted. They're in a meeting at Randy's office.

"good. I hope everything goes well until the end" Renald said.

Tok tok tok tok

A knock on the door stopped the meeting for a moment.

"Get in." said Randy. Dwaine came into the room.

"Sorry sir, this is the file you asked for" said Dwaine.

"Isn't this dance's job? Did he go to the location again?" ask Randy.

"No sir. It just so happens that his work there is done sir. Need to come back but a few more days." explains Dwaine.

"Ahh so. Then where is he? Why isn't he the one who dropped the files?" ask Randy. Renald clenched his hand.

"Why tell Tari to drop off her files? Why not the others?" renald murmured in the heart. He did not want to ask directly, for his pride's sake.

"He's coming back to Indonesia sir."

Everyone was shocked by Dwaine's words.

"What do you mean?!" asked Renald slightly raising his voice.

"You don't know? It's weird." muttered Dwaine. "Dari's father died sir, therefore he went to Indonesia for his father's funeral."

"What?!" peekik Renald's.

"You don't know, Ren?" ask Ted.

"You think if I knew I'd be here?!" ask Renald.

"That's possible. You're a workaholic." replied Randy casually. Renald stiffened his jaw and stared intently at Randy.

"When is he allowed?" ask Ted to Dwaine

"Hm... About two hours ago, sir."

"That means he's already on the plane and it's possible the plane has taken off."

Renald stood up and left, followed by Alex.

"Prepare my plane. We're leaving soon." said Renald.

"All right, sir" Alex said, then started calling.
