The Dilemma of Edo's Heart

Edo looked pensive, his mood completely erratic. That morning he got word that Hans, his father, would be free within 20 days. From what he heard, after being free Hans would stay in Indonesia for some time later following Peter to stay in Germany.

Edo did not deny that he missed his father so much. A person who loves him so much that he is desperate because he does not want to lose himself. He also loved the family who raised him. It was hard for Edo to separate from his foster family.

"Ed, you napa..??" Asked Aris who was already sitting in front of Edo.

"Father." Answer Edo briefly.

"Lo don't lie, Ed. You think we've only known each other for two days..??" Bryan.

"Gue pull it off first." Edo without answering the questions of his two best friends.

Bryan and Aris looked at each other and could only stare at Edo who was getting away with many questions in their minds.

Luna was just getting ready to start going around the sales when Edo arrived. He was surprised to see the young man arrive early because Edo had to attend college until the afternoon.

"Edo, how have you come..?? Didn't you say today there was a lecture until the afternoon..??" Ask Luna. But Edo was just silent and immediately hugged tightly onto Luna's body.

"Ed..??" Call Luna.

"Let's gini first, Al. Please." Edo said as he tightened his embrace. She felt calmer as she hugged Luna.

"What's up..??" Luna asked after Edo let go of his embrace.

Edo was silent and stared fixedly at Luna's face. He guided Luna to sit on the mat in the room.

"Al, do you love me..??" Edo asked without taking his eyes off Luna.

"What are you talking about, Ed..?? Of course I love you." Answer Luna.

"What are my circumstances and my background..??" Edo asked again, making Luna even more clueless.

"Yes. I love you no matter what you are." Answer Luna.

"What's really going on..??" Ask Luna.

"You remember I used to say I was taken care of mommy and daddy because papa was in jail..??" Edo and Luna asked.

"Papa's in prison for trying to kill Dit-dit. Daddy and mommy who was pregnant with Rania were also seriously injured. Even mommy almost got killed." Said Edo.

"Yes, Ed. How can it be like that..??" Scream Luna while closing her mouth.

"My biological mother had congenital heart disease and died in childbirth. I was born with the same disease. For the first 12 years of my life I really struggled to survive. When I was 9 years old my condition really decreased and had to undergo a heart transplant immediately. Actually, when you thought about killing yourself and giving your heart to me. But it turns out the results of the examination stated that papa's heart is not suitable for me. Papa who was so afraid of losing me became so desperate. "I'm confused, Al. Within 20 days you will be free. For a while papa will stay here, but after that papa will follow to Germany to stay with Opa. I love you so much, Al. Kangen is also the same papa, especially during his imprisonment papa never let me there. And papa has sacrificed so much for me. But on the other hand, I also love my family here very much. Edo arrived home shortly before dinner. His whole family gathered at the dinner table. Kira looked paler than usual, but the woman kept trying to take care of her extended family.

"Mom... mommy's sick..??" Ask Edo worried.

"Mommy's okay, Ed." Kira replied with a warm smile.

"Sister, sit down. This is the laper." Satria protest is among the most hobby of eating. Edo hurriedly sat in his chair.

"The one who's still at Yudhi's house, mom..??" Ask Edo.

"Yes, Ed. Eyang putri and eyang kakung will stay there. He said he still misses Alvian and Shafa." Answer Kira. That day Edna and Darius visited Yudhi and his wife because they were missing their children.

"How many days are they staying, baby..??" Ask Shaka.

"I don't know." Answer Kira.

The Rahardians had dinner as usual. There was always joy and excitement between them. Edo kept laughing and looked at his family in turn. He always loved the times his family got together.

Edo's gaze came to a halt as he caught Kira continuing to look at him with a sad look. Her favorite woman that night looked grim despite laughing with her family. Edo recalled the time Peter had come to ask her to stay together. Kira cried all night for fear of losing her.

Later that night, when his five younger siblings had entered the room to rest. Edo saw Kira still sitting alone on the back garden bench. Shaka, who usually accompanies Kira, is busy in his study.

"Mom, it's night. Why haven't you slept..??" Ask Edo.

Kira looked over and smiled at Edo. He spread out his arms calling for Edo to come closer and hugged her. His body sank into the arms of Edo who was indeed as tall as Shaka.

"Mommy's still not sleepy, Ed." Kira said.

"Better mommy sit inside. The wind is cold outside, mommy's gonna be sick." Tegur Edo's.

"Mommy likes the night atmosphere in this park. It feels fun and soothing." Kira Sahut.

"alright. But don't slow down. I don't want mommy to be sick anymore." Edo's orders. Kira chuckles to hear Edo who starts to come out and likes to organize.

"Mom. I love mommy. Mommy was my mother, my first woman, and my first love." Edo said as he tightened his embrace.

"Mommy knows it, Ed. Mommy also loves you. Love you so much." Sahut Kira then took off his embrace and cupped Edo's face with both hands to make their views meet.

"Listen to mommy, Ed. Wherever you are. Whatever your circumstances. Edward Henry Tanzil will always be the eldest son of Shaka Maulana Rahardian and Kirana Adichandra Hardisiswo. Although your name is Tanzil. You are part of the Rahardian family. And will always be a Rahardian. Always remember and cam is fine..!!" Firmly Kira with a choked voice and teary eyes.

Edo sobbed to hear Kira's words. He hugged Kira tightly. Edo knew, despite the weight of Kira Iklas if he finally had to release Edo back to Hans, his father. Because as a real father, Hans was the most entitled to Edo.

Kira knows that Edo loves and misses Hans very much. During his detention, Hans did not allow Edo to come to see him because he did not want his son to see him in his prison uniform. Hans was afraid that it would make Edo burdened and feel guilty. It makes Edo must continue to hold his longing on his father.

"Mommy knows you haven't made up your mind. But whatever your decision may be, remember that your father made a mistake because he loved you so much. He was willing to give his life for you. Love her and take good care of her, Ed." Kira's Message.

"Good, mom. I will always love Papa. Just like I love mommy and daddy." Edo Sahut.

Edo was worried. He doesn't know what to make. Both Hans and his family were equally important. And Edo loved them just as much.
