Bring Him Back

Kira smiled at Darius and Edna who were each holding her baby. For two days his parents had stayed at the hospital and accompanied him because Shaka suddenly had urgent needs so he could not say goodbye to him.

"If Dara's asleep just put it in her box, pa. Don't carry on, papa gets tired." Tegur Kira's.

"My life is no longer young. But still strong holding my grandchildren. Let alone Dara and Bara. Even Edo's holding papa is still strong." Denied Darius.

"Don't be so bragging, Pa. Didn't you see that Edo was nearly as tall as Adam..?? You will complain of back pain. I'm also a bother." Grouser Edna.

"But even if I have back pain, it can still make you scream and helpless." Valid Darius with face me**m.

Edna gawked at the words of Darius. Her mouth was slightly open with a reddened face in embarrassment and annoyed to hear her husband who was still me**m even though she was 75 years old.

"Speak the truth in front of the kids..!! Can you talk like that in front of your child and your two grandchildren..??!!" Spray Edna.

"Why should I be ashamed..?? Kira could even make 7 grandchildren for us." Darius cuek.

"Papa..!! But Bara and Dara are babies. Can you poison them with your dirty thoughts..??!!" Edna was getting upset.

Darius only grimaced at Edna's scolding. Thankful that they are holding their grandchildren. Otherwise, Darius would have been attacked by his wife. Kira cleared her throat to wake her parents up if she was in the room too.

"If papa and mama still want to continue the conversation, better put Bara and Dara in their box. I don't want my children's minds to get polluted at a young age." Kira Protest.

Darius will return Kira's words when he realizes that his wife and daughter are staring at him with a gaze that seems ready to throw him off the roof of the hospital building. Finally he chose to silence rather than have to face the anger of his two favorite women.

Darius and Edna finally put their two grandchildren who were sleeping in their baby boxes. Edna turned her head towards Kira and walked over to her daughter. He sat down on the chair beside Kira's bed and gently grasped her daughter's thin hands.

"How are you feeling today..?? Do you feel better..??" Edna asked as she gently stroked Kira's head affectionately.

"Every day I feel better. I can't wait to take my treatment. Yudha and the team of doctors who handled me said that my hope of recovery was very high. And the day after tomorrow I can start chemotherapy." Kira replied excitedly.

"of course. You'll be healed. My beloved daughter is a strong and strong woman. So mommy's sure you can get through it all." Edna said with a warm smile. She stared fixedly at Kira's face with teary eyes.

Darius who was sitting on the sofa just fell silent to hear the conversation of his wife and daughter. As a father, he was not willing to lose his son. He himself felt bad when he saw the condition of Kira which had decreased drastically. Darius knew that chemotherapy was very heavy and he himself did not know if he would be able to see his daughter tormented due to the effects of the therapy. But as a father who was always supported by his children, Darius could only be quiet and strong. How could he be a backrest for them if he looked weak..??

The sound of the door opening. Apparently Yudha came to visit Kira. The youngest son of Darius and Edna looked even more handsome when wearing his doctor's suit. Although she was 42 years old, Yudha still attracted the interest of every woman who saw her.

"It looks like your conversation is exciting." Yudha said as she walked closer to her mother and sister.

"Your brother can't wait to start treatment immediately." Darius Sahut. Yudha turned to look at Kira.

"Goodoo. Stay excited. That'll help you a lot." Yudha said encouragingly.

"After Kira completes the adjustment process, ma. In this process, Kira will undergo chemotherapy. The adjustment process takes about 5–10 days. During this stage, Kira will experience side effects, such as hair loss, diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting. But the doctor will give you medicine to relieve those side effects. After the adjustment process was completed, Kira still had to rest for a few days before undergoing the transplant process." Yudha explained.

"Why does it sound so horrible..??" Edna asked with a look of despair.

"I'm okay, ma. Don't worry like that." Kira said to calm her mother even though she herself was actually scared.

"What about Adam..?? Is the condition ready to become a donor..??" Ask Darius. Yudha shook her head and smiled.

"We will use stem cells from the umbilical cord of Dara and Bara. Blood from the umbilical cord of a newborn is generally still immature, so the risk of post-transplant incompatibility is smaller. It just so happened that when we did the test, they had a match with Kira. So I'm sure this operation will work." Yudha answered with confidence.

"Do whatever it takes for your brother's recovery." The word Darius that sounded more like an indisputable command.

"Without asking for anything, I'll do it." Sahut Yudha while clucking annoyed.

"You heard that, baby. Everything's gonna be fine. You will definitely be healed. All you have to do is stay up and stay up during chemotherapy." Edna was excited again. Kira smiled and looked at her parents and sister in turn.

"thank you. I'll definitely try to stay afloat." Kira said. He was silent for a moment and then took a long breath.

"I just wish Shaka could be here while I'm going through it all." Kira. Darius, Edna, and Yudha were silent.

"Shaka will definitely come once all his business is done. You take it easy, baby "Said Edna trying to comfort Kira.

"Already, ma. Stop your lies. From the first time you said it, I've known that you lied about Shaka's whereabouts." Sahut Kira with a smile made his family misbehave.

"I know my husband very well. He wouldn't just leave without saying anything to his family, as important as anything he had to handle. Plus he didn't contact me at all. Every time Shaka goes out of town, no matter how busy he's going to keep calling me." Kira said with teary eyes.

"I knew something bad must have happened to her and you lied to me for fear that my condition would deteriorate. All this time I kept quiet because I believed you guys would definitely help Shaka. Shaka wants my recovery and I promised him I would fight to survive. And that's what I'm doing. No matter what process I go through for my recovery, I will be alive when Shaka comes back. So make sure you also bring Shaka back alive." Kira said calmly without taking her eyes off her parents and sister.

Kira's face looks so calm and shady. It was as if he was filled with confidence that Shaka would return safely soon. Edna's cry broke, she scathed and tightly hugged her daughter's body. Edna continued to kiss Kira's face in tears.

"Mama's daughter is great and strong. You will recover and live. Shaka will also be coming back to you alive soon. You'll be fine and just as happy as ever." Edna said in the middle of her stuffing.

Darius walked up to his wife and daughter and sat on the other side of Kira's bed. She gently stroked Kira's head and smiled even with teary eyes.

"Papa will make sure your husband returns. No one can disturb the happiness of the children. Anyone who intends to do so must face me first." Darius sounded like a promise.

Darius's defense collapsed upon seeing the stubbornness of his beloved daughter. He sobbed while clasping tightly and smelling Kira's hand. During his time as a father, this was the first time he cried in front of his children. Darius has always tried to be a strong and strong figure for his family. Being a solid stone that became a backrest for his family while simultaneously dispelling every wave that tried to throw them. But now he felt so helpless.

Yudha stood behind Darius and clutched his father's shoulder tightly to strengthen the man who had always been his role model. Shoulders that when he was a child he often made a backrest when crying. The shoulders that to him until now still look strong and sturdy. Continue to provide protection for his mother, him, and his brothers.
