Abhimanyu : Pelakor Rentals
8. I'm Apologizing

After he told me so, it was also difficult to say he was wrong. Rara did not expect that the story behind it was like that. Rara thought, Abhimanyu was tired of Sakura and wanted to split up.

But in retrospect, why would he do all this if he just wanted a divorce? He can stay divorced because Abhimanyu is not a public figure whose life is surrounded by many people so it takes many reasons not to be blasphemed in every action.

"You know what I know" murmured Rara. "I'm just waiting for the current to change, right?"

"Yes. You're pretty much the actor who's my escape place because my wife's crazy."

Still feels a bit evil but after hearing the story of Abhimanyu, Rara inevitably also thinks differently. The point is to be responsible, right? If Sakura is to infect people, she must also be ready to be re-tamed.

Although this also counted evil people, Rara thought secretly.

"I closed it. My mom is not letting me hook up with you now."

"That can't be."

Eh?

"You mean?" Rara who was lying down immediately sat down. "My parents are worried. They forbid me to go out first. Even if you pay me a billion, I still don't want it to make my parents panic."

"When you stick, how do you get famous?"

"Go public now just give the impression I do not know myself, right?"

"I don't say go public" Abhimanyu said casually. "I said I couldn't if you didn't relate to me."

Rara frowned. This man named Abhimanyu has a brain that is really difficult to understand since the beginning they met. Sometimes he has a plan that seems long-winded and complicated, but Rara sees him always arriving at his goal.

"What should I do now? I also don't want to say if I really did the actor to my parents. Again, what pay, there's something I can't do."

"No brainer's. The rest is my business."

Rara stared at her confused phone which now displayed a screen wallpaper after the call was off.

If Abhimanyu had said 'the rest is my business', Rara would have felt a little anxious.

*

And Rara's anxiety came true when Abhimanyu suddenly appeared in front of her residence. The face of Rara's parents immediately pale to see the married man who he said insisted on chasing after his son now came to park his expensive car in front of the house.

Rara was so scared and worried. Though he had said he did not want to involve his parents but why did Abhimanyu come instead?

"I want to apologize."

Rara's stunned. Of all the sentences, Abhimanyu opened it with an apology?

"I shouldn't involve my parents in my household affairs. Again I'm sorry." Abhimanyu bowed his head to them as if he were regretting his actions. "Whatever the gossip is out there, I hope you and your mom will hear my explanation. I don't want Rara to be wronged because of the gossip out there."

What exactly is he doing? Why is he now impressed to ask for blessing and prove that he is not a bad man who cheated on his wife, but a responsible man who was involved in the problem until someone else misunderstood?

And unbeknownst to Rara, that was Abhimanyu's intention. Attracting Rara's parents to 'restui' their relationship.

This is also important for the continuity of Rara's career that will rise later. Wouldn't it be a problem if after this case subsides, Rara is blocked instead? That's why blessing is needed here.

"What's really going on, son?" After a moment of silence, Mama also threw a question to Abhimanyu. "Is it true that Nak Abhimanyu has a relationship with Rara?"

Abhimanyu glanced at Rara for a moment before replying, "No, ma'am, we're just familiar. But it's true that I've always wanted to get your son."

"Don't you have a wife?" Papa chimed in.

"My wife has a mental disorder."

Both of Rara's parents gasped.

"Nauzubillah." Mom shut her mouth in disbelief. "That bad, son?"

"Yes, Mom, that bad. I tried to hold our marriage together but out of nowhere the gossip suddenly rose and Rara was dragged away. Worrying about the situation now I think my marriage has no other way out."

Rara held her breath.

Wait, isn't the rumor that doesn't come from where it actually came from him?

Rara looked at the man named Abhimanyu. Very clever of a lie. He was even much smarter than the people who claimed to be smart.

When Rara glanced at her parents, their originally wary gazes at Abhimanyu had turned pityful. They viewed Abhimanyu as a 'victim'.

"The name of the mother's son just happened to be dragged here. I don't think for long the names of other people who have met me will also be dragged. But because I did not want to until Rara was wronged because of my mistake, I came to apologize and explain. Again, sorry."

"Aren't you interested in soap opera?"

Abhimanyu who was about to open the car door immediately turned to Rara. "You mean?"

"I happen to be a liar too." Rara folded her hands under her chest, pursing her lips as her eyes focused on that 'fraud' face. "You lie in the room until my parents believe, I don't want to be afraid of you. Believing the same liar is like giving my bag to a thief."

Abhimanyu has canceled the door. Smarter than he thought, Abhimanyu thought of Rara. Although from the beginning he was quite sure he was smart, but it seems that Rara began to read a little of Abhimanyu's covert intentions.

And maybe he suspects that Sakura is the real victim.

"I never said I was better than Sakura or more holy than Sakura." Abhimanyu will make sure that suspicion is gone first. "Maybe a little shy about saying this but you see me? Power, money, influence are all mine."

Abhimanyu stuffed both of his hands into his pants pocket, staring at Rara expressionlessly. "As a public figure candidate, I teach you one thing. People who have TOO much money are not honest people, people who have power are cunning people, and people who have influence are manipulative. I have three of them."

"...."

"But that doesn't mean I'm a lunatic who tortures my own wife."

At least it's honest.

"Although I also admit that I have a grudge against Sakura."

Abhimanyu stepped twice, making him stop right in front of Rara. Staring at his 'infidelity' face was fine as well as letting him see his face well.

"You accept being my cheating because you realize 'trying hard' is not the key to success, right? You need a sponsor. You need the help of people who play behind the scenes. You have no one but me, Rara, so can we stop talking about conscience now? Who wants to be the victim, who hurts, who breaks apart, focus on your goals."

Rara looked down grimly. It's hard to argue because it's true.

He needed to raise his own name, earn money for his family and raise their social status.

"Some," murmured Abhimanyu, "there are people I can't be disappointed with."

Rara's stunned. Because of this distance he could see clearly the terrifying Abhimanyu suddenly looked fragile.

"I live for him." Abhimanyu. "If Sakura doesn't have any faults but I hurt her, do you think people who love me won't be disappointed?"

The one who loves him? Who mean?

Abhimanyu really looked to love that person as well until he weakened.

"A week you will be invited to the podcast for clarification. Must make it comeg."

After saying that Abhimanyu left, leaving many questions in Rara's mind.
