Three weeks after that.
In her temporary bedroom, Rara sat looking at the two red test pack lines in her hand. There was a small smile on Rara's lips, for the umpteenth time she permeated the excitement that burst in her chest.
After all this time he hoped, his little dream came true as well.
Rara has to tell everyone. Especially Juwita. He was the one who waited the most even if he did not want to speak directly.
But ....
"I want you to know first, Bi." Rara shook her head. "No, no, no. We agreed to separate. It can't be like that, Rara."
Rara pulled out her dresser drawer, put a test pack in there. Somehow he felt it wasn't time to go tell Juwita.
It's okay to postpone two days, right? Juwita is busy outside. Banyu, Cetta, even Nayla were all busy later taking care of the remnants of the chaos that had an impact on their business.
Rather than that Rara had to rush out, go cook the food. Today it is his turn to take care of the children who are entirely comforted by their school.
"Lila, Nia! Help you cook first!" rara exclaimed as she exited her small room.
The woman approached the open kitchen near the mango tree, opening a Styrofoam box where the food storage turned out to be empty.
"Who? How empty? Cetta hasn't bought any groceries?"
Lila walked over to him. "So Mother said today not to cook, Brother. Catering people said they'd come bring food."
"Ohya? Who is pesen? Nayla?"
Lila shakes. "Abang Abi."
"Eh?"
"Mbak Rose said she wanted to come talk to Papa later this afternoon. Mother said if Brother has finished bathing, please prepare the same chair clean table."
Ah, is that it? It wasn't Abhimanyu who came home but Rose had important business with Papa.
Almost Rara's big head.
"That's it anyway." Rara smiled. "Yaudah, help Brother Yuk. Call the dick-knocker too."
"Yes, Brother."
Accompanied by her sisters-in-law, Rara arranged a place for their important guests later. The largest tree on which their swing fell but because Juwita said Rose's chair should be under a tree that is not hot, Rara arranged it under a tree that at least sufficiently protects Rose.
Just set the table, plate and put up some small decorations, but the time passed by two hours. Even so, Rara smiled satisfied with the result.
It didn't take long after that food arrived. Rara arranged it with the help of Juwita and Nayla who came home quickly to welcome their guests. And just thirty minutes after that, Rose appeared with her entourage.
"Welcome," Adji greeted with a small smile as he found Rose pale tired.
"Yes, good day." Rose passed by him, sitting just like that in the coldest chair. "Pretend not to see I'm drunk on a vehicle."
"You shouldn't be maxing your body out here, Rosella." Adji sat in his chair. "If there's anything, you better call me."
"Stop treating me like a kid." Rose looked very unwell, but she tried to sit up straight. "Well, thank you, at least."
Rara pulled out a chair to take a seat after everyone had taken a seat. His gaze momentarily shifted to Abhimanyu who was just standing next to Rose's chair.
Inwardly, Rara was still considering. Should he tell Abhimanyu? Or tell Juwita to have Juwita tell Abhimanyu?
"I heard you've turned a lot of your efforts on your son" Rose said as she sipped her tea. "I don't rule but ask for help. For now do not retire let alone hands off. I believe that your children all have abilities, but their experiences and your experiences are different. In times of national crisis, I need you more than your son."
Rara once again glanced at Abhimanyu and did not expect that the man was also looking at him.
But Rose's voice talking about the future, the crisis, the war, and those terrible things, Rara could only catch her mouth shut. Abhimanyu definitely did not have time for him. She must be busy helping Rose.
In the end, Rara smiled. Convince her heart that everything is fine even if they are separated.
He did not move to another heart. He was busy working and helping the country. The result was he inserted for Rara as a signal that he remembered who his wife was.
"I'm worried about a future civil war."
Rara held her breath. There's more?
"Do you think there's more chaos in the future?" reply Adji, looks pretty tense.
"No. That's not what I mean." Rose took a breath. "The real power struggle. Between us, the heirs of Mahardika, with those claiming to be the ruler, Narendra."
"Son, Mr. Mahardika's relationship with Narendra from the beginning was good. It's my advice but if you want a good future, you're much better off working together than struggling."
"That good relationship has been cut off since the deaths of Lio Narendra and Trika Narendra." Rose fanned herself suddenly. "It was declared completed after Uncle's death. You also know that their good relationship is not based on friendship, right? Uncle always thought of Trika Narendra as part of the kingdom of Mahardika, while Luka Narendra hated Uncle Mahesa."
"But the reason you're better is more important. Whether Narendra or Mahardika, both care about civilians. I'm pretty sure Narendra himself doesn't want the same thing to happen again."
"But the ruler should only be one. That's the rule in the world, absolute. I don't want to either, but want to or don't want to be unable to stop the mess. You should know too."
Adji rubbed his face in frustration. The atmosphere on the table was so gloomy, especially when Cetta, Banyu and Abhimanyu both gulped bitterly.
Perhaps due to the influence of the pressure around her, Rara suddenly felt nauseous. Rara shut her mouth, trying to hold back from ruining the chatter but ....
"Geek!"
All eyes turned to Rara.
The woman broke out in cold sweat, hurriedly moving. But somehow Rara's body feels weak like a heavy exercise. His fine legs stumbled without cause, making him barely smell the grass if his body was not caught by someone's arm.
Rara was transfixed to see Abhimanyu looking at her expressionlessly. The man reached out to Rara's neck, pressed something on the left side of her neck, squeezed her hand, then suddenly smiled.
He suddenly lowered his head, silently whispering, "Positive?"
Where's she—
"Hey, stop hugging just because you guys just met." Rose didn't let the atmosphere last too long.
Abhimanyu. "sorry. Ranaya seems not to be strong with your heavy chatter so may I anter him to his room first?"
Rose grunts. Waving his hand a sign of expelling. Then he looked back at Adji, continuing the conversation.
But after Abhimanyu left, at the table, Juwita silently looked towards her stepson and daughter-in-law leaving. Unbeknownst to anyone, Juwita held a smile on her lips.
Maybe this time his bad feeling won't be real.
