89. The Kindness of Rose

Rose saw Rara and Banyu walking together towards a place. It is far but visible. At the western end of this vast land, Juwita and a number of people were seen standing near the tomb. It was the tomb of part of their family that was the victim, including Rara's parents.

"Rosella." Adji's voice distracts Rose. "Your body?"

"just fine. By the way, sorry about your house." Rose was casual because even though she was only around Lila, she was far above Adji. "And also about your son."

Adji just smiled. Not reprimanding Rose's attitude because it was in accordance with her status. "The bill I gave to Abhimanyu."

"so. I swear I will replace every corner of your house that falls. That's a debt." Rose opened the fan in her hand, fanning herself. "Also .. thank you."

".... I'm so sorry."

"There's nothing to grieve about me. Uncle's ready to die and Mama's ready to die." Rose looked at him firmly. "I'm sorry for the loss you've been through. If I can pay with gold, just tell me the amount."

"No need. Mr. Mahardika helped me a lot while he was alive. And it's nobody's personal problem. It's a matter of state. As a civilian, of course my family can be a victim."

Rose grunts. "You're so sorry I'm a kid, huh?"

Sure oes. It is possible that Adji blames a daughter even if she is the successor of a legend like Mahardika. Whoever died yesterday, to blame Rose, he won't be able to take it.

"Don't stand too long. You haven't recovered. Come on, I'll have tea." Adji patted the boy's back gently. "Also maybe there's something we need to talk about."

Rose just nodded. They ended up sitting at the table that Banyu prepared for his dearest Rose. Just as the tea was being served, someone came bowing to Rose.

"Miss."

Jeffrey, personal assistant to Dion, Mahesa's other successor.

"What's wrong?"

"Miss is requested to return immediately to the main residence. First meeting will be held soon."

Rose took a breath. It felt like I had just taken a break, but it was time to work. "I understand."

"Before that, Miss, there was a message for Miss."

"Who else?"

"Great Master of Mahardika."

Rose's stunned. Without much ado he received a special letter made of leather instead of paper. Mahesa's handwriting that she memorized immediately greeted Ross.

From beside her, Adji looked at Rose's change in expression the longer she read it. I don't know what the message is but it's obviously very important.

"Call Abhimanyu here."

Adji slightly frowned when he heard the name of his son. The middle-aged man observed until Abhimanyu came. He said, "Is it time for a meeting?"

Rose rolled back the letter. "true."

"It's how I call Olivia the same as Abirama."

"Attent." Rose prevented. "Something from Uncle."

"Mr Mahardika?"

"He told me to be nice to you."

"What?"

"Yesterday's chaos lasted only three days," Ross said, "but the impact could likely be up to sixty years later."

"...."

"Losing your Uncle means losing everything. And the thing I have to look after the most right now is slave—I mean, trustworthy men." Rose opened her eyes, looking at Abhimanyu with a sullen face. "I'm letting you go back to your wife so make sure you're loyal to me to death."

Abhimanyu. "Pak Mahardika .. tell you how to look?"

"Of course not, you idiot. Why should Uncle have me arrange your household?" Eose grunts. "I told you Uncle told me to be nice."

"...."

"...."

"If you've understood don't just shut up like a statue, you idiot!" Rose glared. "Prepare! I'm a busy man!"

Abhimanyu flinched, it was still difficult to digest everything.

However Rose did not care, turned to Adji and nodded at him. "Sorry I can't talk now. I'll go first."

Adji smile. "When don't stop by, son."

Rose threw her face away, though she seemed to be holding back a smile.

Adji's gaze moved to Abhimanyu who was still glued empty.

"The miracle is that she's wailing, isn't she?" adji gumam. "Pak Mahardika once told Papa that his nephew did not even want to terrorize him. He just wants to make his own decisions."

From the beginning, the girl wanted to master Abhimanyu and separate him from Rara. Maybe because she felt Abhimanyu treated her quite well.

But ... It seems like he also learned something from this incident.

"Abimanyu." Adji patted his son's shoulder. "You still want to split up?"

Abhimanyu. "I told you to go" he muttered almost inaudibly. "So now I say given permission too .. Why does he still want to accept?"

"Don't fool women." Adji grunting. "They, already know the heartache, already know will often cry, already know heavy, but still stupid defense. Still stupid, love us. You want to lie down and the somersault will be forgiven if you apologize. Stupidity that men find hard to do."

Adji hits Abhimanyu's back hard.

"There! Men at the end of it always apologize for the problem. If you want to make a mistake, make your wife a big smile."

Abhimanyu stared at Rara, finding her crying near her parents' grave.

The bodies of both of Rara's parents were actually declared missing because the search was so difficult in this situation. But Abhimanyu, Banyu and Cetta decided to descend into the abyss in order to properly bury them.

"You're a fool, love me." Abhimanyu whispered silently. "What's left for now?"

Ah, goddamn.

Abhimanyu felt like a loser because in the end he was scared.

While waiting for Abhimanyu to come with Olivia and Abirama, Jeffrey turned to Rose who was being examined by a doctor.

"Miss."

"Hm?"

"Why did Miss lie?"

"What do you mean?" Rose immediately opened her eyes and it was clear she knew what Jeffrey meant.

"Young Master Dion read Miss's letter before asking me to take her." Jeffrey said what he was. "Then the Young Master told me that the Great Lord Mahardika advised that some wealth be set aside for some people, including Abhimanyu. To 'pay' his loyalty also paid for the impact of their damage yesterday."

In other words, Rose's 'doing good' remark was actually a lie. Mahesa clearly said the good deed was done with money, but Rose said something else.

Though the wealth that should have been given to Abhimanyu Jeffrey had brought and he would release it once Rose gave the order.

"Uncle told me so for not knowing the situation." Rose is back. "Abimanyu was rich enough to be given a treasure. Of course he would be happy, but only to that extent. To ask for his loyalty for a lifetime, I must give up something more precious."

And also ... soon Rara will have a child. If the birth of the child affected Abhimanyu's emotions secretly, there would be a possibility in the future that Abhimanyu would betray him in order to return to his family.

Rose only did what was necessary for self-defense. No more than that.
