Chapter 1606

"Tsk! Diane's gone too far!"  shane snorted furiously.  "Does he think that the Durham Group will definitely work with the Palmer Group?"

He really wanted to lose his temper and reject this partnership.  He had even thought of finding a way to punish the Palmer Group and teach them a lesson for being such an arrogant person.

But then he thought about how he had not managed to get the pages of the playbook, and how the old man in the house had said that if he had not completed this mission, it would have been, he will remain the section chief forever.

It was impossible for him to rise higher in the Durham family, and definitely impossible for him to reach the position he wanted the most.

If he wanted to get those pages, the only way now was to use the Palmer Group.

"Head, do you want to cancel this meeting?"

"No!"  Shane shook his head and did not bother to hide the anger on his face.  "Huh, sending his secretary instead is not a bad thing. We can take this opportunity to change the terms in our favor. She's just a lowly secretary, so once I scare her and give her enough pressure, she'll go into a panic. If we can take this opportunity to get something out of the Palmer Group, it might not be a bad thing."

He waved his hand.  "Go set it up!"

"Yes, Chief."  Linda dared not say anything more and just nodded before contacting Diane's secretary, Ashley.

But he knew that the Palmer Group was not a simple place.  Not only was Diane very capable, all of the Palmer Group.perhaps even the woman in charge of cleaning the office was no ordinary person.

But of course, Linda didn't dare to say any of this to Shane.  He just needs to do what a tool should do.

He set the time and place.

Shane eats, sleeps on Linda's lap for a while, then wakes up to go to the Palmer Group.

Linda knocked on the sitting room door and entered.

Shane walked behind Linda, and she became rather displeased.

Diane did not want to handle the negotiations in person nor did she arrange the meeting in a classier or more luxurious meeting room.  On top of that, no one officially accepted them at the door.  The receptionist only showed them the way, and they even had to knock on the door themselves.

This Palmer Group is really overkill!

Shane was angry and about to go berserk when he saw there was another man in the room besides Ashley.

"Miss Ashley, this man is...?"  Shane did not sound too friendly as he said sarcastically, "Palmer CEO is busy with many things throughout the day and has no time for Durham Group. Don't tell me you're too busy, so you've found someone else to represent you instead?"

He almost cursed her.

Linda opened her mouth slightly when she saw that the man sitting there was Ethan and wanted to tell Shane that this was a man who had a special relationship with Diane, but there was no chance for him to speak now."

"Chief Durham, you're so funny. This guy's..." Ashley stood up and poured a cup of tea for Ethan with a smile.  "Palmer Group views this partnership with Durham Group as very important, so we have sent the most important person at Palmer Group to discuss this matter with you."

"The most important person?"  Shane's really angry right now.

He glanced at Ethan and sneered, "This guy? Who is he and what position does he have? I didn't see it on your director's organization chart! The Palmer Group really doesn't appreciate the Durham Group! How dare you look down on attacking us and playing us! How can you get Tom,***, and Harry to negotiate with us? Do you really think we're easy to bully?!"

"Chief Durham, I think you're wrong. I'm not just any Tom, ***, and Harry."  Ethan looked at Shane.  "I call the shots here."
