Shane is an important member of the Durham family.  Although he was only a section chief now, Parker knew that in time, if nothing went wrong, Shane would definitely rise to a much higher position in the future.

And as the Black Dragon Society's in charge, Parker has taken a lot of money from the Durham Group.

He knew very well that the Black Dragon Society was the claws and teeth of the Durham Group.

If Shane said something bad to the old man, it would be bad news for him.

Parker stared coldly at the West and the others and cursed.

"Junk! Stack of fucking garbage!"

He frowned and knew that he had to prove his worth now.  If Shane held this grudge on him, it would be of no use to him.

"Where are those people now?"

"They're still at the hotel" West replied quickly.  "Do you want to attack them?"

"Strike them?"  Parker.  "Do you think fighting and killing will solve all our problems? Really idiots!"

"I want the benefits! I want money! Do you understand?!"

He really wanted to kick West to death.

They are in the modern era but the West seems to still be living in the past.  Today, nothing is more important than making money.  Although they were gangsters in illegal circles, their first priority was always to earn more money.

Regardless of whether it was taking money from the Durham Group by relying on them and working for them, or robbing more other people's money and resources, that was how they had survived so far.

Is killing and fighting always worth it?  Not particularly.

Parker stood up and frowned as he walked back and forth.

"Yes Boss!"

West and the others did not dare to say anything more.  Once Parker decides something, they won't be able to change his mind.

Parker picks up the phone and calls Shane again.

"I can give up the business I have in the west of the city, and I can give you a good price. But on one condition, I want to have a part in it" he said calmly.  "You want this piece of meat, me too. We're all doing this for the Durham Group, aren't we?"

The person across the phone remained silent.

"Again, the Palmer Group actually embarrassed me, so I will settle this feud with them. Swallowing half their money doesn't ask for too much, does it?"

A joyful smile had already spread across his face, as if he could see that his plan to get Shane to split his profits from the Palmer Group would work.

"Well," Shane replied after a while.

He just wanted those pages.  Although Palmer Group was a large, thick-pocketed company, they were far from Durham Group, so Shane did not care much about that company.
