Billionaire God of War Season 2

Billionaire God of War Season 2
CHAPTER 1688

"If I'm not mistaken, there should be nine pages" Carter said with a smile. "The pattern on the manual is quite inconspicuous, but I've touched it before ..."

He held out his hand as he spoke. His fingers were slender, and his fingerprints were clearly different from those of the average person. Given his trade, his fingers may be more sensitive than the machine.

He had spent decades training, so he could feel more through contact.

Ethan knows that Carter must have made the discovery when he popped the scratch on the lawn, but his face remains expressionless and he does not react.

"Your hand is very important to you" Ethan said calmly to Carter as he looked at Carter's hand.

"That's right. My hand is probably the most precious item I have," Carter said with a smile. "I have to thank them for everything I have."

"Because they are so precious, then you must protect them well."

The two looked at each other and were silent for a few seconds before laughing together.

"It looks like you're not interested in this manual background."

"That's right, I'm not interested" Ethan said. "But your tea is good, so I might stop by again."

Then Ethan got up and said goodbye without saying anything else.

Carter hid his true abilities well. He knew that Ethan would be interested in the manual, so he used it to persuade him. That must be a good tactic.

Others will lower their vigilance when he returns $300 billion and offers instructions on the manual.

  But Ethan is different.

He would never trust someone so easily, especially when there was an advantage at stake. Those are the times when things really get dangerous.

Carter watched expressionlessly as Ethan left. He seemed to have predicted this outcome.

"Are we not going to stop it?" asked the guard leader gently from behind Carter.

"You can't stop it." Carter shook his head and said in self-mockery, "I don't want this plantation to be destroyed overnight."

The leader narrowed his eyes before looking in the direction Ethan had left.

  Carter must be kidding.

"Don't try to provoke him" Carter said. "I'm warning you. Wherever you are, even in the Middle East!"

  "Is he that strong?"

"He may become stronger" Carter urged.

Carter uses the manual to lure Ethan, but all he does is drink tea. Others would feel it was a huge loss, but Carter was very satisfied.

He had witnessed firsthand Ethan's prowess many years ago and Ethan was clearly different now.

He might have a weakness, but it could be considered as his armor as well!

He is much stronger than before!

"Enhance the security level" Carter said, rising. "Someone might come visit us late at night."

"Yes, Hall Master," the leader replied as he nodded.

Carter stopped talking and turned around to return to his room. Some steel security doors make it safe from highly skilled martial artists, but they are useless against someone with exceptional skills and an IT expert like Ethan.

Winston was already waiting at the entrance when Ethan came out.

  "How did it go?"

He put a cigarette in his mouth and looked at the plantation.

"I don't know," Ethan said as he shook his head. "He hides his abilities and intentions well. Let's keep our distance from him for now."

  Winston nodded.

  "Wait here tonight."

Ethan walked over and sat down. Then he lifted his head and looked up, "That person will definitely appear."
