16. Displacements

It's a day of tranquility. Another week of National Exams and I don't know what I'm going to do in the future. Or go to college or work. College is also who will finance. The scholarship list is in town and must leave Mom.

"It was coming from morning but he said you went to Mr. RT so I'm coming now." Zaki smiled as he scratched his gatel-free head.

"This is Nak Zaki?" Mom interjected and realized that it was Zaki, the man I used to call her by name, without Mom knowing her face.

"Are you handsome?" Said mom praising Zaki.

I immediately choked on hearing Mom's question to Zaki. Mom came straight to me.

"Adel you drink it slowly dong." Mom's hand patted my back.

"Mom's part this question embarrassed Adel." Whisper in Mom's ear. My mother smiled hearing my words. I opened the fridge again and took one more mineral water for Zaki.

"Assalamu'alaikum." Someone in front said hello.

"Wa'alaikumsalam." Answer us together.

"Maybe the car that carries goods already Dateng Bu." My word.

"Oh yeah, let me see first." Mom walked to the front of the house.

Sure enough there were two men in their 30s standing at the door.

"Oh please come in." Mom let them both in. "This is all please lift. Adel your small stuff bring it down by yourself later a big one to help the same Mas."

Zaki knocked on the door before entering the room.

"You want to help?" My temptation to Zaki.

"Oh, that's it." Answer me scowl.

"That's my sweet lady's frown." Rayu Zaki's.

I didn't reply to his words. I just smiled at the sweet lady. We also dropped things one by one.

It took almost 2 hours to get all our stuff up to a big truck and a pickup. Mother said it was far away. Even I had to take the school bus. I'm fine because my school is only a short stay.

All the stuff is done. Mom locked the door and put the key in her bag. It will be given to Rudi. He said we'd meet at the new house later.

"Don't Zaki want to come with us to our new home?" Ask Zaki.

"Of course, ma'am if I can" said Zaki.

"Let's get in that little car you guys are in the back and there's still a little place to sit. Mom's in front of the same driver." Said Mother arranged.

"Yes, Mom." Answer me and Zaki compact.

Mom smiled again at my answer and Zaki turned around and got into the car. Zaki and I sat in the back facing each other because the narrow place could not sit parallel.

The journey took about 40 minutes and the time showed a beautiful sun set. We all got out of the car. Looking at a small house is only 6x8 M. I haven't focused on his house. I was still busy staring at the sun that was about to set. I saw around there were still a lot of big trees shady. The atmosphere is so beautiful. His house is not so crowded either. Still smells of rustic.

"Adel let's go in. Let's see the house." Bring mom.

I turned around and looked at Zaki right behind me. Apparently he had seen me who enjoyed the view here. Zaki just smiled. Zaki shook his head to tell me to come in. I just lifted my thumb and walked after Mom to come in and see the situation inside.
