Brother, May I Love You?

Brother, May I Love You?
Chapter 18

Fall, accident and blood. Those three things were something that Dhika had been avoiding so far. Since the death of her father and stepmother ten years ago, she's been traumatized to hear all that. And when he saw the blood coming from Zanna's chin, Dhika lost control. He did not want to lose another precious person in his life. Moreover, it was Zanna, the younger sister who grew up with him. But ... Doctors at the hospital did not take Zanna's injuries seriously and sent them home. Without prescription medication or follow-up. Dhika is very upset.

What annoyed him even more was Zanna's calmness in her own body that was injured. How could a beautiful woman like this behave normally after falling with open wounds on her face.

"Are you dizzy?" dhika asked Zanna who was now sitting next to her.

"Sir"

"Is there any other body part that hurts now?"

"Nothing"

Zanna only answered briefly and did not look into his eyes when Dhika asked.

"Did your leg hurt?" dhika asked again and tried to touch her sister's knee. But Zanna brushed off his hand violently and looked at him sharply.

"You what?"

"I want to check your legs. Your knee hit the floor"

"Nobody's sick. I told you no one was sick!"

Zanna replied with a shout, further igniting Dhika's emotions. He stopped his car on the side of the road and saw his sister.

"Let brother check for himself"

Dhika starts to hold onto Zanna's thigh and receives a strong rejection from the girl.

"Ehh Ehhh. Whynot. It's harassment"

"What harassment? I'm your sister. I have to make sure there are no other injuries before it gets too far from the hospital"

Dhika did not care about her sister's complaints and screeches. He must make sure. Because Zanna wouldn't stay at her house. She was afraid that something might happen when she was not next to her sister.

But his power is beyond limits. He accidentally pulled his sister's work shirt and made two buttons come off just like that. A car passed by and shone on something Dhika had never seen before on her sister's body. He had no idea how long he had been staring at something that seemed to be chewy and full of it. Then it awakens after receiving a slap, again from his sister.

"Crazy yeah!!!"

Dhika returned to her seat, sat up looking straight at the road and tried to breathe normally. No words were spoken for a few minutes. Just the sound of clothes rustling. A sign of Zanna trying to cover the part with her thin jacket.

Ten years ago Zanna entered puberty so heavy. His sister has a very large body. But all of Zanna's body parts are big, not just that part. Why now when I grow up. Zanna's body is shrinking and that part looks big? Dhika believes Zanna is unlikely to perform any procedure to enlarge any part of her body. Then why was it so big? Probably bigger than Dhika's palm. Or enough in the palm of his hand? Without feeling one of Dhika's hands squeezed the steering wheel strong.

"You ... operation huh?' he asked without further ado and received a punch right behind his head.

It's so hard that Dhika believes that Zanna is okay. His brain is now probably broken.

"LUNATIC PEOPLE! I'M GOING DOWN!!" zanna shouted and tried to open the car door. Of course it can't because Dhika locked it.

"Snake you home now"

Dhika turned on the sein to the right and started to continue on her way home. Ten minutes later, the car was parked right in front of Zanna's house. He unlocked the key and his sister immediately ran into the house. Not looking or talking to him. Dhika got out of the car and shouted.

"Inadvertently. Not intentionally. Crazy old man" raved Kiran then entered his house with a little slamming door. He locked the door and made sure he was safe.

"You're an operation? Is that crazy guy asking me that? Basic pervert. Last week I slept in the same bed. Now?"

Kiran continued to rummage until she saw the mess she had left. The dining table was shatter-shaped no more. He had to clean up immediately but his body was already too tired that night. He took a deep breath and entered the room.

After taking a bath with the warm water she boiled, Kiran felt like she was alive again. Fatigue in his body is not too pronounced but does not make him want to clean the house.

"Tomorrow" he said, then went back into the room and lay down on his new, warm and safe mattress.

The next morning when Kiran woke up, she was startled by the voices of many people. He still thought it was a dream until he heard a familiar voice.

"Clean all this! Clean up that fence too!"

Kiran opened her eyes and walked towards the window. He was very surprised when he found some people were seen cleaning the backyard. By receiving orders from brother Dhika who looks very firm. He took his cardigans and walked out the front door.

"What the fuck?" tanyanya when the distance with brother Dhika is close.

The man turned his head and showed a slightly softened face.

"You don't want to stay at my sister's house. So this house needs to be repaired immediately before it causes you any more harm"

"Who gave permission?"

"Sister doesn't need permission. Brother doesn't want to see you fall for a rat again"

"Sir Dhika can't do this. Nope. Brother Dhika has no right to do this!"

"I'm your brother. So I'm entitled"

Once again Kiran heard something that was tickling her stomach. The relationship between the brothers has been over for ten years. It was because of the words of that man. Why is it now that Dhika's sister continues to allude to the fraternity issue?

"We are not brothers. We're just strangers and Dhika's sister has no right to be in this house anymore. Did brother Dhika forget that I used to talk about this house, mom, Bi Tia, just like I was a fucking carrier?" kiran said getting emotional.

Sister Dhika approached after listening to all her words. The man spoke in a low tone in Kiran's ear.

"Don't know when you forgive brother. But I will continue to carry out my duties as your brother"

Kiran's heart trembled. All this time he was waiting for brother Dhika to say that but it felt too late. Since moving to Jakarta, Kiran is faced with a reality that is not as beautiful as a shadow. Bi Tia's house wasn't as big and luxurious as she thought. His aunt's job also did not make a lot of money to give the life he had lived while in Malang. Kiran learns to accept fate and begins to live frugally. Sometimes he also had to help Bi Tia work, selling cakes in the morning to earn more pocket money.

After being at the SMU level, Kiran started to rack her brains to earn money. The goal is to go to college at your own expense. Because Bi Tia will certainly be very difficult if you have to bear the tuition money. After school, he became a tutor for elementary school children. Saturday and Sunday, he worked as a dishwasher at one of Padang's famous stalls near a rented house. Finally little by little, Kiran could save her own tuition fees. Bi Tia alone could not say anything as she signed up without asking for any money at all.

After going to college, the hard work did not stop. The work of the tutor remains in his life at night. But not for the dishwasher. The time cannot be flexible to do along with the lecture. Finally Kiran took the iron in the laundry, to do at home. For a kilo of clothes, he was only paid a thousand rupiahs. But Kiran remained grateful and continued to work despite the weight. In the fourth semester, he began to need more money and time to go to college. Kiran changed jobs again to become an admin at one of the olshops. Bi Tia was angry because she found him lying exhausted several times. It also forbids him from working, but Kiran is very stubborn. He remained in the workforce until graduation and applied for ASN admission this year.

In those hard times, Kiran often thought. If brother Dhika continues to carry out his duties as a brother and does not leave him, he may not be up to such distress. Maybe his life has become easier. Maybe he could dream more. Then he put away all those thoughts. The insults that Dhika's sister said back then hurt Kiran's feelings so much. He promised never to wish on anyone else again except his only family. It was Bi Tia.

"Sir Dhika is going first. So now go there again from this house. And don't come back" replied Kiran also in the ears of Dhika's sister.
