Brother, May I Love You?

Brother, May I Love You?
Chapter 5

"When do you repeat math?"

"Tomorrow"

"Do you know this one?"

"Well, but how can the answer be this way?"

"You don't know what that means. Brother is clear once again. Watch carefully!"

Kiran frowns and is upset with Dhika's brother who suddenly becomes a tutoring teacher at home.

"Yes yes"

"See this. Read actually. Write what you know about this story, just do it!"

"Don't be so hard on Zanna. Your sister was a child" Burhan's father said, trying to help Kiran. But it was useless as brother Dhika became even more resolute than before.

"There's a doughnut. This is what Dhika's peanut is about"

I served a doughnut in front of Kiran who was tempted to eat.

"Thank You Ma. That's your favorite strawberry stuffed doughnut. But don't eat if your pe er is not finished"

"Have a rest first. Zanna let's eat the doughnuts, get cold"

"Dad don't belain Zanna. Dhika pity that taught her from earlier"

"But the father's daughter was the laper"

Kiran and her brother looked at each other, seeing their parents defending each other's children.

"Let's work on continuing to sleep" said Kak Dhika lazily serving his parents.

"Yes" Kiran agreed and started working on the pe-er until it was done. The four of them ate donuts together.

Kiran will be home from school tomorrow upset.

"Why?" ask mother.

"Kiran's Deuteronomy is seventy"

"Can't you?"

"Do not know. She said Teacher Kiran's way was wrong" he said. He made sure to get mad at Dhika's sister because of this. Then the person who wanted to be scolded entered the house in a strange state. Sister Dhika did not say hello at all and went straight into the room. Also lock the door from the inside. Kiran and her mother looked at each other and ran towards Dhika's room.

"Dhika. What's up, son?"

There is no answer from within. There was only silence there, making Kiran and her mother start to worry.

"Sleeping time Mom"

"But Dhika hasn't eaten yet. Son let's get out!"

No more answers from the room.

"Take a nap, Mom"

"When you want to eat out, kid"

Dhika's behavior did not stop there. A week later her brother still locked the door as soon as he returned home from school. When Burhan's father asked, there was no answer from Dhika's brother's mouth. Shut up, shut up and shut up. Making everyone worried to find a change in attitude of brother Dhika like that. Then ... something happened when Kiran just got home from school. He heard something from Dhika's room. A loud sound of impact.

"What's that?" ask the mother who ran away from the kitchen"

"Don't know. From Dhika's room" Kiran answered and pointed to the left.

"Well, is your brother home?"

"Lha what was it?"

Mother and Kiran brought their ears closer to the door of DHika's room. They heard nothing after the sound of the impact.

"Lha what the hell was Mom"

Kiran was starting to get scared. This house has been established since the Dutch colonial era and experienced several changes of residents before it was purchased by Kiran's grandfather thirty years ago. They sharpened their ears again and heard an item fall to the floor from inside the room. Mother's eyes opened wide and then immediately turned the doorknob.

"Dhika's. You're in dalem? Dhika???" I screamed like panic.

"Why Ma'am?"

"You need to find a hammer in the kitchen to open this door. Cepett!!"

Mother's screams made Kiran panic. He immediately ran into the kitchen and got a hammer. Mother received the hammer and hit the doorknob with all her power. It was fortunate that the house was old, so the doorknob was instantly shattered with the blow of his mother. When the door opened, Kiran saw something terrible. Dhika's floor was covered in a red liquid.

"Zanna, run to Tasya's house now. Call Tasya's father tell him to come here. Cepat!!!"

Without thinking any more, Kiran immediately ran to her friend's house. He told Mr. Tsaya to go inside the house and not dare to follow. Before long he saw the body of a weak brother DHika held by his Father Tasya. His mother was busy holding Dhika's ankle with a thick red cloth. Whatisit? The blood?

"Zanna, call me tell the hospital. You wait at Tasya's house first yes" mother's message before leaving for the hospital with Mr. Tasya's car.

"Why is your brother Ran?" ask Tasya.

"I don't know"

"That's blood, right?"

Kiran seemed to be starting to understand what was happening. He knew for sure that the fluid in Dhika's room was blood. It came from his brother's wrist. But why did Dhika's sister do that? Then he remembered his mother's message before leaving for the hospital.

"Yes. I'll give you a phone call"

"Yes"

"Zanna"

Kiran came out of Tasya's room and saw Burhan's father had a face with no smile at all.

"Dad. What about Dhika?"

"Dhika is okay. I have to be in the hospital, waiting for Dhika's lab results. For today you live in the house of Tasya first yes. It's the same uniform your textbook made tomorrow. I'll pick you up tomorrow from school and we'll go to the hospital together" Burhan's father explained.

"Yes" replied Kiran.

The next day, I actually took Kiran to the hospital. Next to her brother who was lying weak, mother did not stop crying.

"Mother" said Kiran.

"You came? Have you eaten yet?"

"Udah. Dhika Why Ma'am?"

"It's okay. Brother Dhika is just tired. So tired to have to go to the hospital"

Kiran finds out that her mother's explanation doesn't match reality, as she sees Dhika's ankle being bandaged by a thick bandage. But Kiran kept quiet and waited beside her brother's bed.

The doctor then went in and out of DHika's room. So did Burhan's mother and father. They leave Kiran alone with Dhika's brother who is still blindfolded. But Kiran knew her brother had not slept from the moment he came.

"Why would you want to die?" her question was direct, making her brother open his eyes and look at her.

"You .. won't understand"

"Kiran is not a child anymore"

"You get out there. Brother is going to sleep again"

"Kak Dhika if you are sad to cry"

"What?"

"Crying off. Kiran will not tell anyone if Dhika's brother is crying"

A second later Dhika's brother closed his eyes with an arm. Despite the case, Kiran can hear her brother's sobs.
