In Sundanese customs, there are several wedding processions that are commonly performed. Included in it is welcoming the bride, or in Sundanese is often called papag panganten, ceremonial handover, marriage certificate, ceremony sawer panganten, ceremony sungkem, ceremony, the egg stamp ceremony or in Sundanese is called nincak endog, and the last is the ceremony of huap lingkung.
Mapag panganten itself begins when the groom and entourage have come to the wedding location. In this case the groom is accompanied by parents and family or relatives or friends who take part in the delivery. Everything comes together, then the group must wait for the readiness of the bride's family who will be able or welcome.
While the ceremony is held upon arrival of the groom and his entourage at the location where the event took place. Welcoming is done with the arrangement of flowers made of jasmine flowers to the groom-to-be by the mother of the bride. It symbolizes that the female side welcomes the arrival of the groom with a clean holy heart and open arms.
In this ceremony, the parents of the groom-to-be hand their son over to the parents of the bride-to-be while carrying the bride's belongings, the bride and groom's needs, namely women's clothing ranging from head to toe which is a symbol of the male side as a form of responsibility to the female family.
After the above two processions, a marriage contract can be done, as well as a series of other processions that can take up to almost half a day, depending on the host who leads.
In the wedding of Audi and Ibra itself, the whole procession of the event went well. From starting sawer, sungkem, egg stampede, until the huap ringgung which is now taking place lively. The parents of the bride and groom, in this case Edzar and Safa, and Dava and Lalisa took turns feeding Audi and Ibra.
In Sundanese custom, it symbolizes an expression that the bribes made by the parents of the bride and groom are the last bribes to their children.
After the bribe was bribed, the two brides held the chicken or chicken brood that was burned whole. Each holds the thigh to then pull each other after getting instructions from the organizer concerned.
Crowded cheers were heard as Ibra got a bigger share than Audi. According to the Sundanese belief, who manages to get a bigger share, he is the one who will bring the most sustenance. In addition, it also means that the husband and wife in the household later must both work or give encouragement to each other in seeking sustenance.
After the procession, all invited guests, including relatives, are welcome to give blessings and congratulations to the bride and groom.
Ibra and Audi welcome every guest who goes up to the beach to take pictures and shake hands. At first they agreed to rent the building for only half a day, but looking back at the large number of invited guests, finally two families decided to extend the time until the afternoon.
The invitations included important guests from the Halim and Edzar families, business associates and colleagues, and friends from Audi and Ibra. You can see some of his old friends in the unity also present, even the TNI commander and the commander of the Paspampres who was close to Edzar also came to meet the invitation.
A variety of greetings and prayers alternately accompany Audi and Ibra. The two happily accepted each embrace and hand job with a humanist.
"Goddessa ... Our widower this one quickly got another wife. No wind no rain suddenly send invitation letter. Bless your life once, Bra!" One of Ibra's military friends went up to the bar with the others.
Disan, the captain that Ibra was referring to just smiled calmly. "Later, if there's a soul mate."
"That's why it's sought!" exclaimed his other friend, meant to be literate.
Disan glared at them all. "Don't you remember yourself being single?" insinuations.
"We've been around, not yet filed."
The batik-stained mass immediately laughed, Audi also added a smile to see their interaction with Ibra.
They then took pictures in crowds, along with the TNI Commander and Commander Paspampres and other Ibra colleagues.
Guests from among the army already, businessmen already, school friends, college partly also already. Dava and Edzar's colleagues also came back. Until it was not felt the afternoon, Audi and Ibra took pictures with the entire family Halim and Edzar.
In the reception Audi changed the dress 3 times. The last one was a nude brocade robe, matching Ibra's long-sleeved shirt.
At exactly five o'clock in the afternoon they were preparing to leave the building. Mama Audi was assisted by assistants and some family members to clean up the items in the dressing room that had previously been where Audi was dressed. At six o'clock, the Audi and Ibra reception arrives at the end of the event. The atmosphere of the ballroom was also deserted, the invited guests had mostly left the location, leaving only family and relatives, as well as the hotel officials who began to refit the room.
Audi and Ibra have been down since a while ago, and indeed the event is completely over. They live home, and are now fixing many gifts that can meet the tub car.
"Cla, are you going home to Mama or Mami?" ask Ibra on one occasion.
This is what makes Audi confused. Their homes are facing, if according to custom they have to live in whose house first?
